Marcu 10

Despre divorț

1 Apoi a plecat de acolo și a venit în regiunea Iudeii (și)t dincolo de Iordan. Mulțimile s-au adunat din nou în jurul Lui, iar El, după cum Îi era obiceiul, a început iarăși să-i învețe.

2 Niște farisei au venit la El ca să-L pună la încercare și L-au întrebat:
– Are voie un bărbat să divorțeze de soția lui?

3 Isus i-a întrebat:
– Ce v-a poruncit Moise?

4 Ei I-au răspuns:
– Moise a dat voie ca bărbatul să-i scrie soției o carte de despărțire și s-o lase să plece.

5 Dar Isus le-a zis:
– Din cauza inimilor voastre împietrite v-a scris el această poruncă,6 însă la începutul creației Dumnezeu „i-a făcut bărbat și femeie“t.7 „De aceea bărbatul își va lăsa tatăl și mama (și se va uni cu soția lui)t,8 iar cei doi vor deveni un singur trup.“t Așa că nu mai sunt doi, ci sunt un singur trup!9 Deci, ceea ce Dumnezeu a unit, omul să nu despartă!

10 În casă, ucenicii L-au întrebat cu privire la aceasta.11 El le-a zis: „Oricine divorțează de soția lui și se căsătorește cu altcineva, comite adulter împotriva ei.12 Și dacă o soție divorțează de bărbatul ei și se căsătorește cu altcineva, comite adulter.“

Isus și copilașii

13 I-au adus niște copilași, ca să se atingă de ei, dar ucenicii i-au mustrat pe cei care i-au adus .14 Isus însă, când a văzut acest lucru, s-a indignat și le-a zis: „Lăsați copilașii să vină la Mine și nu-i opriți, pentru că Împărăția lui Dumnezeu este a celor ca ei!15 Adevărat vă spun că oricine nu primește Împărăția lui Dumnezeu ca un copilaș, cu nici un chip nu va intra în ea!“16 Apoi i-a luat în brațe și i-a binecuvântat punându-Și mâinile peste ei.

Isus și tânărul bogat

17 Chiar când pornea la drum, a alergat la El un om care a îngenuncheat înaintea Lui și L-a întrebat:
– Bunule Învățător, ce să fac ca să moștenesc viață veșnică?

18 Isus i-a răspuns:
– De ce Mă numești „bun“? Nimeni nu este bun decât Unul: Dumnezeu.19 Cunoști poruncile: „Să nu ucizi“, „Să nu comiți adulter“, „Să nu furi“, „Să nu depui mărturie falsă“, „Să nu înșeli“, „Cinstește-l pe tatăl tău și pe mama ta.“t

20 El I-a spus:
– Învățătorule, pe toate acestea le-am împlinit încă din tinerețea mea.

21 Privindu-l, Isus l-a iubit și i-a zis:
– Îți lipsește un singur lucru: du-te, vinde tot ce ai și dă săracilor, și vei avea astfel o comoară în cer. Apoi vino, urmează-Mă!

22 Mâhnit de aceste cuvinte, a plecat întristat, pentru că avea multe posesiuni.

23 Isus a privit în jur și le-a zis ucenicilor Săi:
– Cât de greu va fi pentru cei bogați să intre în Împărăția lui Dumnezeu!

24 Ucenicii au rămas uimiți de cuvintele Lui. Isus le-a zis iarăși:
– Copii, cât de greu este (pentru cei ce se încred în bogății)t să intre în Împărăția lui Dumnezeu!25 Este mai ușor să treacă o cămilă prin urechea acului, decât să intre un om bogat în Împărăția lui Dumnezeu.

26 Ei au rămas foarte uimiți și se întrebau între ei: „Atunci cine poate fi mântuit?“

27 Isus i-a privit și a zis:
– Este imposibil pentru oameni, dar nu și pentru Dumnezeu, căci pentru Dumnezeu toate lucrurile sunt posibile.

28 Petru a început să-I zică:
– Iată, noi am lăsat totul și Te-am urmat.

29 Isus a răspuns:
– Adevărat vă spun că nu este nimeni care să-și fi lăsat casă, sau frați, sau surori, sau mamă, sau tată, sau copii sau ogorul de dragul Meu și de dragul Evangheliei30 și care să nu primească de o sută de ori mai mult acum, în vremea aceasta, case, frați, surori, mame, copii și ogoare, împreună cu persecuții, iar în veacul care vine – viață veșnică.31 Dar mulți din cei dintâi vor fi cei din urmă, iar cei din urmă vor fi cei dintâi.

Isus vorbește din nou despre moartea și învierea Sa

32 Ei erau pe drum și se îndreptau spre Ierusalim. Isus mergea înaintea lor. Ucenicii erau neliniștiți, iar cei care-L urmau erau speriați. Isus i-a luat din nou deoparte pe cei doisprezece și a început să le vorbească despre ce urma să I se întâmple:33 „Iată că ne suim spre Ierusalim și Fiul Omului va fi dat pe mâna conducătorilor preoților și a cărturarilor. Ei Îl vor condamna la moarte și-L vor da pe mâna neamurilor,34 care Îl vor batjocori, Îl vor scuipa, Îl vor biciui și-L vor omorî. Dar după trei zile va învia.“

Cererea fiilor lui Zebedei

35 Iacov și Ioan, fiii lui Zebedei, au venit la El și I-au zis:
– Învățătorule, vrem să faci pentru noi orice-Ți vom cere.

36 Isus i-a întrebat:
– Ce vreți să fac pentru voi?

37 Ei I-au răspuns:
– Dă-ne voie să ședem unul la dreapta și altul la stânga Ta, în slava Ta.

38 Isus le-a zis:
– Nu știți ce cereți. Puteți voi să beți paharul pe care îl beau Eut sau să fiți botezați cu botezul cu care sunt botezat Eut?

39 – Putem! au răspuns ei.
Isus le-a zis:
– Veți bea paharul pe care-l voi bea Eu și veți fi botezați cu botezul cu care sunt botezat Eu,40 dar dreptul de a sta la dreapta sau la stânga Mea nu ține de Mine să-l dau, ci este pentru aceia cărora le-a fost pregătit.

41 Ceilalți zece, când au auzit, au început să fie indignați de Iacov și Ioan.42 Isus i-a chemat la El și le-a zis: „Știți că cei care sunt considerați domnitorii neamurilor fac pe stăpânii cu ele, iar mai marii lor se poartă cu tiranie cu ele.43 Între voi să nu fie așa! Ci oricine vrea să fie mai mare între voi trebuie să devină slujitorul vostru,44 iar cel ce vrea să fie primul între voi trebuie să devină sclavul tuturor.45 Căci Fiul Omului n-a venit ca să fie slujit, ci ca să slujească și să-Și dea viața ca răscumpărare pentru mulți.“

Vindecarea orbului Bartimeu

46 Au ajuns în Ierihon. Când a ieșit Isus din Ierihon, împreună cu ucenicii Lui și cu o mulțime destul de mare de oameni , un cerșetor orb, pe nume Bartimeu, fiul lui Timeu, ședea lângă drum.

47 Când a auzit el că trece Isus din Nazaret, a început să strige:
– Fiul lui Davidt, Isuse, ai milă de mine!

48 Mulți îl mustrau spunându -i să tacă, dar el striga și mai tare:
– Fiul lui David, ai milă de mine!

49 Isus S-a oprit și a zis: „Chemați-l!“ Ei l-au chemat pe orb și i-au zis: „Îndrăznește! Ridică-te, căci te cheamă!“50 El și-a aruncat haina, a sărit în picioare și a venit la Isus.

51 Isus l-a întrebat:
– Ce vrei să fac pentru tine?
El I-a răspuns:
– Rabbuni t, să-mi recapăt vederea!

52 Isus i-a zis:
– Du-te, credința ta te-a vindecat!
Imediat el și-a recăpătat vederea și L-a urmat pe Isus pe drum.

MARK 10

Teaching about Divorce

(Matthew 19.1-12; Luke 16.18)

1 After Jesus left, he went to Judea and then on to the other side of the Jordan River. Once again large crowds came to him, and as usual, he taught them.
2 Some Pharisees wanted to test Jesus. So they came up to him and asked if it was right for a man to divorce his wife.

3 Jesus asked them, “What does the Law of Moses say about this?”

4  t They answered, “Moses allows a man to write out divorce papers and send his wife away.”
5 Jesus replied, “Moses gave you this law because you are so heartless. 6 t But in the beginning God made a man and a woman. 7 t That's why a man leaves his father and mother and gets married. 8 He becomes like one person with his wife. Then they are no longer two people, but one.

9 And no one should separate a couple that God has joined together.”
10 When Jesus and his disciples were back in the house, they asked him about what he had said. 11 t He told them, “A man who divorces his wife and marries someone else is unfaithful to his wife.

12 A woman who divorces her husbandt and marries again is also unfaithful.”

Jesus Blesses Little Children

(Matthew 19.13-15; Luke 18.15-17)

13 Some people brought their children to Jesus so he could bless them by placing his hands on them. But his disciples told the people to stop bothering him.
14 When Jesus saw this, he became angry and said, “Let the children come to me! Don't try to stop them. People who are like these little children belong to the kingdom of God.t 15 t I promise you that you cannot get into God's kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does.”

16 Then Jesus took the children in his arms and blessed them by placing his hands on them.

A Rich Man

(Matthew 19.16-30; Luke 18.18-30)

17 As Jesus was walking down a road, a man ran up to him. He knelt down, and asked, “Good teacher, what can I do to have eternal life?”
18 Jesus replied, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good.

19 t You know the commandments. ‘Do not murder. Be faithful in marriage. Do not steal. Do not tell lies about others. Do not cheat. Respect your father and mother.’ ”

20 The man answered, “Teacher, I have obeyed all these commandments since I was a young man.”

21 Jesus looked closely at the man. He liked him and said, “There's one thing you still need to do. Go sell everything you own. Give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come with me.”

22 When the man heard Jesus say this, he went away gloomy and sad because he was very rich.
23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “It's hard for rich people to get into God's kingdom!” 24 The disciples were shocked to hear this. So Jesus told them again, “It's terribly hardt to get into God's kingdom!

25 In fact, it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into God's kingdom.”

26 Jesus' disciples were even more amazed. They asked each other, “How can anyone ever be saved?”

27 Jesus looked at them and said, “There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything.”

28 Peter replied, “Remember, we left everything to be your followers!”

29 Jesus told him:
You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or land for me and for the good news 30 will be rewarded. In this world they will be given 100 times as many houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and pieces of land, though they will also be mistreated. And in the world to come, they will have eternal life.

31 t But many who are now first will be last, and many who are now last will be first.

Jesus Again //Tells about His Death

(Matthew 20.17-19; Luke 18.31-34)

32 The disciples were confused as Jesus led them toward Jerusalem, and his other followers were afraid. Once again, Jesus took the twelve disciples aside and told them what was going to happen to him. He said:
33 We are now on our way to Jerusalem where the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses. They will sentence him to death and hand him over to foreigners, t

34 who will make fun of him and spit on him. They will beat him and kill him. But three days later he will rise to life.

The Request of James //and John

(Matthew 20.20-28)

35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, will you do us a favor?”
36 Jesus asked them what they wanted,

37 and they answered, “When you come into your glory, please let one of us sit at your right side and the other at your left.”t

38  t Jesus told them, “You don't really know what you're asking! Are you able to drink from the cupt that I must soon drink from or be baptized as I must be baptized?”t

39 “Yes, we are!” James and John answered.
Then Jesus replied, “You certainly will drink from the cup from which I must drink. And you will be baptized just as I must!

40 But it isn't for me to say who will sit at my right side and at my left. This is for God to decide.”
41 When the ten other disciples heard this, they were angry with James and John.

42 t But Jesus called the disciples together and said:
You know that those foreigners who call themselves kings like to order their people around. And their great leaders have full power over the people they rule. 43 t But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others. 44 And if you want to be first, you must be everyone's slave.

45 t The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescuet many people.

Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus

(Matthew 20.29-34; Luke 18.35-43)

48 Many people told the man to stop, but he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on me!”

49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him over!”
They called out to the blind man and said, “Don't be afraid! Come on! He is calling for you.”

50 The man threw off his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus.

51 Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man answered, “Master, t I want to see!”

52 Jesus told him, “You may go. Your eyes are healed because of your faith.”
At once the man could see, and he went down the road with Jesus.
