มาระโก 10

1 ฝ่ายพระองค์ได้ทรงลุกขึ้นเสด็จจากที่นั่น เข้าในเขตแดนแคว้นยูเดีย ไปตามทางแม่น้ำจอร์แดนฟากข้างโน้น และประชาชนพากันมาหาพระองค์อีก พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งสอนเขาอีกตามที่พระองค์ทรงเคยสอนนั้น2 พวกฟาริสีมาทดลองพระองค์ทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ผู้ชายจะหย่าภรรยาของตนเป็นการถูกต้องตามพระราชบัญญัติหรือไม่"3 พระองค์ตรัสถามเขาว่า "โมเสสได้บัญญัติไว้ว่าอย่างไร"4 เขาทูลตอบว่า "โมเสสอนุญาตให้ทำหนังสือหย่าภรรยาแล้วก็หย่าให้"5 พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเขาว่า "โมเสสได้เขียนข้อบังคับนั้นเพราะเหตุใจพวกเจ้าแข็งกระด้าง6 แต่ตั้งแต่เดิมสร้างโลก `พระเจ้าได้ทรงสร้างพวกเขาให้เป็นชายและหญิง7 เพราะเหตุนี้ผู้ชายจะจากบิดามารดาของเขา และไปผูกพันอยู่กับภรรยา8 และเขาทั้งสองจะเป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน' เขาจึงไม่เป็นสองต่อไป แต่เป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน9 เหตุฉะนั้น ซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงผูกพันกันแล้ว อย่าให้มนุษย์ทำให้พรากจากกันเลย"10 เมื่อเข้าไปในเรือนแล้วเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ทูลถามพระองค์อีกถึงเรื่องนั้น11 พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "ถ้าผู้ใดหย่าภรรยาของตน แล้วไปมีภรรยาใหม่ ผู้นั้นก็ได้ผิดประเวณีต่อเธอ12 และถ้าหญิงจะหย่าสามีของตน แล้วไปมีสามีใหม่ หญิงนั้นก็ผิดประเวณี"13 ขณะนั้นเขาพาเด็กเล็กๆมาหาพระองค์ เพื่อจะให้พระองค์ทรงถูกต้องตัวเด็กนั้น แต่เหล่าสาวกก็ห้ามปรามคนที่พาเด็กมานั้น14 เมื่อพระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเห็นดังนั้นก็ไม่พอพระทัย จึงตรัสแก่เหล่าสาวกว่า "จงยอมให้เด็กเล็กๆเข้ามาหาเรา อย่าห้ามเขาเลย เพราะว่าอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าย่อมเป็นของคนเช่นเด็กเหล่านั้น15 เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ผู้หนึ่งผู้ใดมิได้รับอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเหมือนเด็กเล็กๆ ผู้นั้นจะเข้าในอาณาจักรนั้นไม่ได้"16 แล้วพระองค์ทรงอุ้มเด็กเล็กๆเหล่านั้น วางพระหัตถ์บนเขา แล้วทรงอวยพรให้17 เมื่อพระองค์กำลังเสด็จออกไปตามทาง มีคนหนึ่งวิ่งมาหาพระองค์คุกเข่าลงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ท่านอาจารย์ผู้ประเสริฐ ข้าพเจ้าจะกระทำประการใดจึงจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์เป็นมรดก"18 พระเยซูตรัสถามคนนั้นว่า "ท่านเรียกเราว่าประเสริฐทำไม ไม่มีใครประเสริฐเว้นแต่พระเจ้าองค์เดียว19 ท่านรู้จักพระบัญญัติแล้วซึ่งว่า `อย่าล่วงประเวณีผัวเมียเขา อย่าฆ่าคน อย่าลักทรัพย์ อย่าเป็นพยานเท็จ อย่าฉ้อเขา จงให้เกียรติแก่บิดามารดาของตน'"20 คนนั้นจึงทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้อเหล่านี้ข้าพเจ้าได้ถือรักษาไว้ตั้งแต่เป็นเด็กมา"21 พระเยซูทรงเพ่งดูคนนั้น ก็ทรงรักเขา แล้วตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านยังขาดอยู่สิ่งหนึ่ง จงไปขายบรรดาสิ่งของซึ่งท่านมีอยู่ แจกจ่ายให้คนอนาถา แล้วท่านจะมีทรัพย์สมบัติในสวรรค์ แล้วจงแบกกางเขน และตามเรามา"22 เมื่อเขาได้ยินคำนั้นก็เสียใจ แล้วออกไปเป็นทุกข์เพราะเขามีทรัพย์สิ่งของเป็นอันมาก23 พระเยซูจึงทอดพระเนตรรอบๆแล้วตรัสแก่เหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ว่า "คนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็ยากนักหนา"24 เหล่าสาวกก็ประหลาดใจด้วยคำตรัสของพระองค์ และพระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาอีกว่า "ลูกเอ๋ย คนที่วางใจในทรัพย์สมบัติจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็ยากนักหนา25 ตัวอูฐจะลอดรูเข็มก็ง่ายกว่าคนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า"26 เหล่าสาวกก็ประหลาดใจยิ่งนักจึงพูดกันว่า "ถ้าอย่างนั้นใครจะรอดได้"27 พระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเหล่าสาวกแล้วตรัสว่า "ฝ่ายมนุษย์ย่อมเป็นไปไม่ได้ แต่ไม่เป็นแบบนั้นกับพระเจ้า เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงกระทำให้เป็นไปได้ทุกสิ่ง"28 ฝ่ายเปโตรจึงเริ่มทูลพระองค์ว่า "ดูเถิด ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้สละสิ่งสารพัด และได้ติดตามพระองค์มา"29 พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ถ้าผู้ใดได้สละบ้าน หรือพี่น้องชายหญิง หรือบิดามารดา หรือภรรยา หรือบุตร หรือที่ดิน เพราะเห็นแก่เราและข่าวประเสริฐนั้น30 ในเวลานี้ผู้นั้นจะได้รับตอบแทนร้อยเท่า คือบ้าน พี่น้องชายหญิง มารดา บุตรและที่ดิน ทั้งจะถูกการข่มเหงด้วย และในโลกหน้าจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์31 แต่มีหลายคนที่เป็นคนต้นจะต้องกลับไปเป็นคนสุดท้าย และที่เป็นคนสุดท้ายจะกลับเป็นคนต้น"32 เมื่อกำลังเดินทางจะขึ้นไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม พระเยซูก็เสด็จนำหน้าเขา ฝ่ายเหล่าสาวกก็พากันคิดประหลาดใจ และขณะที่เขาตามมาก็หวาดกลัว พระองค์จึงทรงเรียกสาวกสิบสองคนอีก แล้วเริ่มตรัสสำแดงให้เขาทราบถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งจะเกิดแก่พระองค์นั้น33 ว่า "ดูเถิด เราทั้งหลายจะขึ้นไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และเขาจะมอบบุตรมนุษย์ไว้กับพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกธรรมาจารย์ และเขาเหล่านั้นจะปรับโทษท่านถึงตาย และจะมอบท่านไว้กับคนต่างชาติ34 คนต่างชาตินั้นจะเยาะเย้ยท่าน จะเฆี่ยนตีท่าน จะถ่มน้ำลายรดท่าน และจะฆ่าท่านเสีย และวันที่สามท่านจะเป็นขึ้นมาใหม่"35 ฝ่ายยากอบกับยอห์น บุตรชายของเศเบดี เข้ามาทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์ทั้งสองปรารถนาจะขอให้พระองค์ทรงกระทำตามคำขอของข้าพระองค์"36 พระองค์จึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งสองปรารถนาจะให้เราทำสิ่งใดให้ท่าน"37 เขาจึงทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "เมื่อพระองค์จะทรงสง่าราศีนั้น ขอให้ข้าพระองค์นั่งที่เบื้องขวาพระหัตถ์คนหนึ่ง เบื้องซ้ายพระหัตถ์คนหนึ่ง"38 พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ที่ท่านขอนั้นท่านไม่เข้าใจ ถ้วยซึ่งเราจะดื่มนั้นท่านจะดื่มได้หรือ และบัพติศมานั้นซึ่งเราจะรับ ท่านจะรับได้หรือ"39 เขาทั้งสองทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "ได้ พระเจ้าข้า" พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ถ้วยซึ่งเราดื่มท่านจะดื่มก็จริง และรับบัพติศมาด้วยบัพติศมาที่เราจะรับก็จริง40 แต่ที่จะนั่งข้างขวาและข้างซ้ายของเรานั้น ไม่ใช่พนักงานของเราที่จะจัดให้ แต่ได้ทรงเตรียมไว้สำหรับผู้ใดก็จะให้แก่ผู้นั้น"41 เมื่อสาวกสิบคนได้ยินแล้ว ก็เริ่มมีความขุ่นเคืองยากอบและยอห์น42 พระเยซูจึงทรงเรียกเขาทั้งหลายมาตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายรู้อยู่ว่า ผู้ที่นับว่าเป็นผู้ครอบครองของคนต่างชาติย่อมเป็นเจ้าเหนือเขา และผู้ใหญ่ทั้งหลายก็ใช้อำนาจบังคับ43 แต่ในพวกท่านหาเป็นอย่างนั้นไม่ ถ้าผู้ใดใคร่จะได้เป็นใหญ่ในพวกท่าน ผู้นั้นจะต้องเป็นผู้ปรนนิบัติท่านทั้งหลาย44 และถ้าผู้ใดใคร่จะได้เป็นเอกเป็นต้น ผู้นั้นจะต้องเป็นผู้รับใช้ของคนทั้งปวง45 เพราะว่าบุตรมนุษย์มิได้มาเพื่อรับการปรนนิบัติ แต่มาเพื่อจะปรนนิบัติ และประทานชีวิตของท่านให้เป็นค่าไถ่สำหรับคนเป็นอันมาก"46 ฝ่ายพระเยซูกับพวกสาวกมายังเมืองเยรีโค และเมื่อพระองค์เสด็จออกจากเมืองเยรีโคกับพวกสาวกของพระองค์และประชาชนเป็นอันมาก มีคนตาบอดคนหนึ่ง ชื่อบารทิเมอัส ซึ่งเป็นบุตรชายของทิเมอัส นั่งขอทานอยู่ที่ริมหนทาง47 เมื่อคนนั้นได้ยินว่าพระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธเสด็จมา จึงเริ่มร้องเสียงดังว่า "ท่านเยซู บุตรดาวิดเจ้าข้า ขอทรงเมตตาข้าพระองค์เถิด"48 มีหลายคนห้ามเขาให้เขานิ่งเสีย แต่เขายิ่งร้องเสียงดังขึ้นว่า "บุตรดาวิดเจ้าข้า ขอทรงเมตตาข้าพระองค์เถิด"49 พระเยซูทรงหยุดประทับยืนอยู่ แล้วตรัสสั่งให้เรียกคนนั้นมา เขาจึงเรียกคนตาบอดนั้นว่าแก่เขาว่า "จงชื่นใจและลุกขึ้นเถิด พระองค์ทรงเรียกเจ้า"50 คนนั้นก็ทิ้งผ้าห่มเสียลุกขึ้นมาหาพระเยซู51 พระเยซูจึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "เจ้าปรารถนาจะให้เราทำอะไรแก่เจ้า" คนตาบอดนั้นทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ขอโปรดให้ตาข้าพระองค์เห็นได้"52 พระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงไปเถิด ความเชื่อของเจ้าได้กระทำให้เจ้าหายปกติแล้ว" ในทันใดนั้นคนตาบอดนั้นก็เห็นได้ และได้เดินทางตามพระเยซูไป

MARK 10

Teaching about Divorce

(Matthew 19.1-12; Luke 16.18)

1 After Jesus left, he went to Judea and then on to the other side of the Jordan River. Once again large crowds came to him, and as usual, he taught them.
2 Some Pharisees wanted to test Jesus. So they came up to him and asked if it was right for a man to divorce his wife.

3 Jesus asked them, “What does the Law of Moses say about this?”

4  t They answered, “Moses allows a man to write out divorce papers and send his wife away.”
5 Jesus replied, “Moses gave you this law because you are so heartless. 6 t But in the beginning God made a man and a woman. 7 t That's why a man leaves his father and mother and gets married. 8 He becomes like one person with his wife. Then they are no longer two people, but one.

9 And no one should separate a couple that God has joined together.”
10 When Jesus and his disciples were back in the house, they asked him about what he had said. 11 t He told them, “A man who divorces his wife and marries someone else is unfaithful to his wife.

12 A woman who divorces her husbandt and marries again is also unfaithful.”

Jesus Blesses Little Children

(Matthew 19.13-15; Luke 18.15-17)

13 Some people brought their children to Jesus so he could bless them by placing his hands on them. But his disciples told the people to stop bothering him.
14 When Jesus saw this, he became angry and said, “Let the children come to me! Don't try to stop them. People who are like these little children belong to the kingdom of God.t 15 t I promise you that you cannot get into God's kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does.”

16 Then Jesus took the children in his arms and blessed them by placing his hands on them.

A Rich Man

(Matthew 19.16-30; Luke 18.18-30)

17 As Jesus was walking down a road, a man ran up to him. He knelt down, and asked, “Good teacher, what can I do to have eternal life?”
18 Jesus replied, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good.

19 t You know the commandments. ‘Do not murder. Be faithful in marriage. Do not steal. Do not tell lies about others. Do not cheat. Respect your father and mother.’ ”

20 The man answered, “Teacher, I have obeyed all these commandments since I was a young man.”

21 Jesus looked closely at the man. He liked him and said, “There's one thing you still need to do. Go sell everything you own. Give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come with me.”

22 When the man heard Jesus say this, he went away gloomy and sad because he was very rich.
23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “It's hard for rich people to get into God's kingdom!” 24 The disciples were shocked to hear this. So Jesus told them again, “It's terribly hardt to get into God's kingdom!

25 In fact, it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into God's kingdom.”

26 Jesus' disciples were even more amazed. They asked each other, “How can anyone ever be saved?”

27 Jesus looked at them and said, “There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything.”

28 Peter replied, “Remember, we left everything to be your followers!”

29 Jesus told him:
You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or land for me and for the good news 30 will be rewarded. In this world they will be given 100 times as many houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and pieces of land, though they will also be mistreated. And in the world to come, they will have eternal life.

31 t But many who are now first will be last, and many who are now last will be first.

Jesus Again //Tells about His Death

(Matthew 20.17-19; Luke 18.31-34)

32 The disciples were confused as Jesus led them toward Jerusalem, and his other followers were afraid. Once again, Jesus took the twelve disciples aside and told them what was going to happen to him. He said:
33 We are now on our way to Jerusalem where the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses. They will sentence him to death and hand him over to foreigners, t

34 who will make fun of him and spit on him. They will beat him and kill him. But three days later he will rise to life.

The Request of James //and John

(Matthew 20.20-28)

35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, will you do us a favor?”
36 Jesus asked them what they wanted,

37 and they answered, “When you come into your glory, please let one of us sit at your right side and the other at your left.”t

38  t Jesus told them, “You don't really know what you're asking! Are you able to drink from the cupt that I must soon drink from or be baptized as I must be baptized?”t

39 “Yes, we are!” James and John answered.
Then Jesus replied, “You certainly will drink from the cup from which I must drink. And you will be baptized just as I must!

40 But it isn't for me to say who will sit at my right side and at my left. This is for God to decide.”
41 When the ten other disciples heard this, they were angry with James and John.

42 t But Jesus called the disciples together and said:
You know that those foreigners who call themselves kings like to order their people around. And their great leaders have full power over the people they rule. 43 t But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others. 44 And if you want to be first, you must be everyone's slave.

45 t The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescuet many people.

Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus

(Matthew 20.29-34; Luke 18.35-43)

48 Many people told the man to stop, but he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on me!”

49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him over!”
They called out to the blind man and said, “Don't be afraid! Come on! He is calling for you.”

50 The man threw off his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus.

51 Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man answered, “Master, t I want to see!”

52 Jesus told him, “You may go. Your eyes are healed because of your faith.”
At once the man could see, and he went down the road with Jesus.
