Marc 16

Jésus est ressuscité!

(Mt 28.1-8; Lc 24.1-11; Jn 20.1-2)

1 Quand le *sabbat fut passé, Marie de Magdala, Marie mère de *Jacques, et Salomé achetèrent des huiles aromatiques pour aller embaumer le corps de Jésus.

2 Il était encore très tôt, le dimanche matin, lorsqu’elles arrivèrent au tombeau. Le soleil se levait.

3 En chemin, elles s’étaient demandé les unes aux autres:
—Qui nous roulera la pierre qui ferme l’entrée du tombeau?

4 Or, en levant les yeux, elles s’aperçurent que la pierre avait été roulée sur le côté, et c’était un bloc énorme.

5 Elles pénétrèrent dans le caveau et virent, assis du côté droit, un jeune homme vêtu d’une robe blanche. Elles furent saisies de frayeur.

6 Mais le jeune homme leur dit:
—N’ayez pas peur! Vous cherchez Jésus de *Nazareth, celui qui a été crucifié? Il est ressuscité, il n’est plus ici. Voyez l’endroit où on l’avait déposé.

7 Et maintenant, allez annoncer à ses *disciples, et aussi à Pierre, qu’il vous précède en *Galilée; c’est là que vous le verrez, comme il vous l’a dit.

8 Elles se précipitèrent hors du tombeau et s’enfuirent, toutes tremblantes et bouleversées. Elles ne dirent rien à personne, tant elles étaient effrayées.

Jésus apparaît aux disciples

9 Jésus, étant ressuscité le dimanche matin, apparut d’abord à Marie de Magdala dont il avait chassé sept démons.

10 Celle-ci alla porter la nouvelle à ceux qui avaient accompagné Jésus: ils étaient plongés dans la tristesse et en larmes.

11 Mais eux, en l’entendant dire qu’il était vivant et qu’il lui était apparu, ne la crurent pas.

12 Après cela, alors que deux d’entre eux faisaient route pour se rendre à la campagne, il leur apparut sous un autre aspect.

13 Ils revinrent à *Jérusalem et annoncèrent la nouvelle aux autres; mais ils ne les crurent pas eux non plus.

14 Plus tard, il se montra aux Onze pendant qu’ils étaient à table; il leur reprocha leur incrédulité et leur aveuglement parce qu’ils n’avaient pas cru ceux qui l’avaient vu ressuscité.

15 Et il leur dit:
—Allez dans le monde entier, annoncez la Bonne Nouvelle à tous les hommes.

16 Celui qui croira et sera baptisé sera *sauvé, mais celui qui ne croira pas sera condamné.

17 Voici les signes miraculeux qui accompagneront ceux qui auront cru: en mon nom, ils chasseront des démons, ils parleront des langues nouvelles,

18 ils saisiront des serpents venimeux, ou s’il leur arrive de boire un poison mortel, cela ne leur causera aucun mal. Ils imposeront les mains à des malades et ceux-ci seront guéris.

Jésus enlevé au ciel

19 Après leur avoir ainsi parlé, le Seigneur Jésus fut enlevé au ciel et s’assit à la droite de Dieu.

20 Quant à eux, ils s’en allèrent proclamer la Parole en tout lieu. Le Seigneur travaillait avec eux et confirmait leur prédication par les signes miraculeux qui l’accompagnaient.]

Mark 16

The Resurrection

1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought aromatic spicests so that they might go and anoint him.2 And very early on the first day of the week, at sunrise, they went to the tomb.3 They had been asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”4 Butt when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled back.5 Thent as they went into the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robes sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.s He has been raised!t He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.7 But go, tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”

8 Thent they went out and ran from the tomb, for terror and bewilderment had seized them.t And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

The Longer Ending of Mark

9 Early on the first day of the week, after he arose, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had driven out seven demons.10 She went out and told those who were with him, while they were mourning and weeping.

11 And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
12 After this he appeared in a different form to two of them while they were on their way to the country.13 They went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.14 Then he appeared to the eleven themselves, while they were eating, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him resurrected.15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.16 The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.17 These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;t18 they will pick up snakes with their hands, and whatever poison they drink will not harm them;t they will place their hands on the sick and they will be well.”19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 They went out and proclaimed everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs.]]
