Jesus uppstår från de döda

1 På lördagskvällen, när vilodagen var över,t köpte Maria från Magdala, Salome och Maria, Jakobs mamma, välluktande oljor för att gå och smörja Jesus kropp.2 Tidigt på söndagsmorgonen, just innan soluppgången, gick de sedan ut till graven,

3 och på vägen dit frågade de sig: "Vem ska rulla undan stenen från ingången åt oss?"
4 Men när de kom fram såg de att stenen, som var mycket tung, redan var bortrullad.5 Kvinnorna blev mycket förskräckta.6 Men den unga mannen sa: "Var inte rädda. Ni söker efter Jesus från Nasaret, han som avrättades på ett kors. Men han har blivit levande igen. Han är inte här. Titta, här är platsen där hans kropp låg.

7 Gå nu och säg till hans efterföljare, och särskilt till Petrus, att Jesus ska gå före dem till Galileen. Där ska de få se honom, precis som han sa till dem innan han dog."

8 Då lämnade kvinnorna graven och sprang därifrån, darrande i hela kroppen. De var så chockade att de inte vågade berätta för någon vad de varit med om.t

Jesus visar sig för Maria från Magdala

9 Det var tidigt på söndagsmorgonen, dagen efter vilodagent, som Jesus uppstod från de döda, och den första person han visade sig för var Maria från Magdala, den kvinna som han hade befriat från sju onda andar.10 Hon gick och berättade det för dem som hade varit med honom och som nu sörjde och grät.

11 Men när de fick höra att han levde och hade visat sig för henne, trodde de inte på det.

Jesus visar sig för två av sina efterföljare

12 Senare visade sig Jesus för två av dem när de var på väg från Jerusalem ut på landsbygden. De kände inte igen honom först, eftersom hans utseende var förändrat,

13 men när de förstod vem han var skyndade de iväg och berättade det för de andra. Men ingen trodde på dem heller.

Jesus visar sig för sina elva närmaste efterföljare och befaller dem att sprida budskapet om honom

14 Lite senare visade han sig för sina elva närmaste efterföljare när de åt tillsammans. Han frågade dem då varför de hade så svårt för att tro, och varför de så envist vägrade att lita på dem som hade sett honom sedan han uppstått från de döda.15 Och han sa till dem: "Gå ut i hela världen och sprid budskapet om mig till alla människor.

16 Den som tror och blir döpt ska räddas, men den som vägrar att tro ska bli dömd.
17 Och jag ska ge kraft till dem som tror, så att de kan göra under och tecken. De ska driva ut onda andar i mitt namn, och de ska få förmågan att tala nya språk.

18 De ska utan risk kunna handskas med ormar, de ska inte bli skadade om de dricker något gift och de ska lägga händerna på de sjuka och göra dem friska."

Jesus far upp till himlen

19 När Herren Jesus hade sagt detta till dem, togs han upp till himlen och satte sig på Guds högra sida för att regera.t

20 Men hans efterföljare gick ut överallt och talade till människorna, och Herren var med dem och bekräftade budskapet genom de under som följde.

Mark 16

The Resurrection

1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought aromatic spicests so that they might go and anoint him.2 And very early on the first day of the week, at sunrise, they went to the tomb.3 They had been asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”4 Butt when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled back.5 Thent as they went into the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robes sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.s He has been raised!t He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.7 But go, tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”

8 Thent they went out and ran from the tomb, for terror and bewilderment had seized them.t And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

The Longer Ending of Mark

9 Early on the first day of the week, after he arose, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had driven out seven demons.10 She went out and told those who were with him, while they were mourning and weeping.

11 And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
12 After this he appeared in a different form to two of them while they were on their way to the country.13 They went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.14 Then he appeared to the eleven themselves, while they were eating, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him resurrected.15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.16 The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.17 These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;t18 they will pick up snakes with their hands, and whatever poison they drink will not harm them;t they will place their hands on the sick and they will be well.”19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 They went out and proclaimed everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs.]]
