Kvinnorna vid graven
1 När sabbaten var över köpte Maria från Magdala och Maria, Jakobs mor, och Salome välluktande kryddor för att gå och smörja honom. 2 Tidigt på morgonen efter sabbaten kom de till graven när solen gick upp. 3 Och de sade till varandra: ”Vem skall rulla undan stenen från graven åt oss?” 4 Men så fick de se att stenen var bortrullad, den var mycket stor. 5 De gick in i graven och såg en ung man i lång vit dräkt sitta där till höger, och de blev förskräckta. 6 Men han sade till dem: ”Var inte förskräckta. Ni söker efter Jesus från Nasaret, han som blev korsfäst. Han har uppstått, han är inte här. Se, här är platsen där han blev lagd. 7 Men gå och säg till Petrus och de andra lärjungarna: ’Han går före er till Galileen. Där skall ni få se honom, som han har sagt er.’”
8 Då lämnade de graven och sprang därifrån, darrande och utom sig. Och de sade ingenting till någon, för de var rädda.Den uppståndne visar sig
[ 9 När Jesus hade uppstått på morgonen efter sabbaten visade han sig först för Maria från Magdala, från vilken han hade drivit ut sju demoner. 10 Hon gav sig i väg och berättade det för dem som varit tillsammans med honom och som nu sörjde och grät.
11 När de fick höra att han levde och att hon hade sett honom trodde de inte på det.
12 Därefter visade han sig i annan skepnad för två av dem medan de var på väg ut på landet.
13 Också de gick bort och berättade det för de andra, men inte heller de blev trodda.
14 Sedan visade han sig också för de elva medan de låg till bords, och han förebrådde dem deras otro och halsstarrighet, då de inte hade trott på dem som sett honom uppstånden. 15 Han sade till dem: ”Gå ut överallt i världen och förkunna evangeliet för hela skapelsen. 16 Den som tror och blir döpt skall räddas, men den som inte tror skall bli dömd. 17 Dessa tecken skall följa dem som tror: i mitt namn skall de driva ut demoner, de skall tala nya tungomål,
18 de skall ta ormar med sina händer, de skall inte bli skadade om de dricker dödligt gift, och de skall lägga sina händer på sjuka och göra dem friska.”
19 När herren Jesus hade talat till dem blev han upptagen till himlen och satte sig på Guds högra sida. 20 Men de gick ut och predikade överallt, och Herren bistod dem och bekräftade ordet genom de tecken som åtföljde det.]

Jesus Is Alive
(Matthew 28.1-8; Luke 24.1-12; John 20.1-10)
1 After the Sabbath, Mary Magdalene, Salome, and Mary the mother of James bought some spices to put on Jesus' body. 2 Very early on Sunday morning, just as the sun was coming up, they went to the tomb. 3 On their way, they were asking one another, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance for us?”
4 But when they looked, they saw that the stone had already been rolled away. And it was a huge stone!
5 The women went into the tomb, and on the right side they saw a young man in a white robe sitting there. They were alarmed.
6 The man said, “Don't be alarmed! You are looking for Jesus from Nazareth, who was nailed to a cross. God has raised him to life, and he isn't here. You can see the place where they put his body.
7 t Now go and tell his disciples, and especially Peter, that he will go ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”
8 When the women ran from the tomb, they were confused and shaking all over. They were too afraid to tell anyone what had happened.ONE OLD ENDING TO MARK'S GOSPEL
Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene
(Matthew 28.9,10; John 20.11-18)
9 Very early on the first day of the week, after Jesus had risen to life, he appeared to Mary Magdalene. Earlier he had forced seven demons out of her. 10 She left and told his friends, who were crying and mourning.
11 Even though they heard that Jesus was alive and that Mary had seen him, they still would not believe it.Jesus Appears to Two Disciples

12 Later, Jesus appeared in another form to two disciples, as they were on their way out of the city.
13 But when these disciples told what had happened, the others would not believe either.What Jesus' Followers Must Do

14 Afterwards, Jesus appeared to his eleven disciples as they were eating. He scolded them because they were too stubborn to believe the ones who had seen him after he had been raised to life.
15 t Then he told them:
Go and preach the good news to everyone in the world. 16 Anyone who believes me and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe me will be condemned. 17 Everyone who believes me will be able to do wonderful things. By using my name they will force out demons, and they will speak new languages.
18 They will handle snakes and will drink poison and not be hurt. They will also heal sick people by placing their hands on them.Jesus Returns to Heaven

19 t After the Lord Jesus had said these things to the disciples, he was taken back up to heaven where he sat down at the right sidet of God.
20 Then the disciples left and preached everywhere. The Lord was with them, and the miracles they worked proved that their message was true.ANOTHER OLD ENDING TO MARK'S GOSPEL
9-10 The women quickly told Peter and his friends what had happened. Later, Jesus sent the disciples to the east and to the west with his sacred and everlasting message of how people can be saved forever.
