En lam man i Kafarnaum botas
1 Några dagar senare kom han tillbaka till Kafarnaum och det blev känt att han var hemma. 2 Det samlades så mycket folk att inte ens platsen utanför dörren räckte till längre, och han förkunnade ordet för dem. 3 Då kom de dit med en lam som bars av fyra män. 4 Eftersom de inte kunde komma fram till Jesus i trängseln bröt de upp taket ovanför honom och firade ner bädden med den lame genom öppningen.
5 När Jesus såg deras tro sade han till den lame: ”Mitt barn, dina synder är förlåtna.”
6 Nu satt där några skriftlärda, och de tänkte för sig själva: 7 ”Hur kan han tala så? Han hädar ju. Vem kan förlåta synder utom Gud?” 8 Jesus förstod i sin ande vad de tänkte och sade till dem: ”Hur kan ni tänka så i era hjärtan? 9 Vilket är lättast, att säga till den lame: Dina synder är förlåtna, eller att säga: Stig upp, ta din bädd och gå? 10-11 Men för att ni skall veta att Människosonen har makt att förlåta synder här på jorden säger jag dig” — och nu talade han till den lame — ”stig upp, ta din bädd och gå hem.”
12 Och mannen steg upp, tog genast sin bädd och gick ut i allas åsyn, så att de häpnade och prisade Gud och sade: ”Aldrig har vi sett något sådant!”Tullindrivaren Levi kallas
13 Och han gick längs sjön igen. Alla människor kom till honom, och han undervisade dem.
14 När han gick där fick han se Levi, Alfaios son, sitta utanför tullhuset, och han sade till honom: ”Följ mig!” Och Levi steg upp och följde honom.
15 När Jesus sedan låg till bords i hans hus var det många tullindrivare och syndare som låg till bords tillsammans med honom och hans lärjungar, för det var många som följde honom. 16 När de skriftlärda bland fariseerna fick se att han åt med syndare och tullindrivare sade de till hans lärjungar: ”Äter han med tullindrivare och syndare?”
17 Jesus hörde det och sade: ”Det är inte de friska som behöver läkare, utan de sjuka. Jag har inte kommit för att kalla rättfärdiga, utan syndare.”Bröllopsgästerna fastar inte
18 Johannes lärjungar och fariseerna fastade. Då kom några och frågade honom: ”Varför fastar Johannes lärjungar och fariseernas, men inte dina lärjungar?” 19 Jesus svarade: ”Inte kan väl bröllopsgästerna fasta medan brudgummen är hos dem. Så länge de har brudgummen hos sig kan de inte fasta. 20 Men det skall komma en tid då brudgummen tas ifrån dem, och när den dagen är inne kommer de att fasta. 21 Ingen syr fast en bit okrympt tyg på ett gammalt plagg. Då sliter ju det nya tyget med sig av det gamla och det blir en värre reva.
22 Ingen häller nytt vin i gamla vinsäckar, för då spränger vinet säckarna, och både vinet och säckarna förstörs. Nej, nytt vin slår man i nya säckar.”Lärjungarna plockar ax på sabbaten
23 En sabbat tog han vägen genom sädesfälten, och lärjungarna började rycka av ax medan de gick. 24 Då sade fariseerna till honom: ”Varför gör de sådant på sabbaten som inte är tillåtet?” 25 Han svarade: ”Har ni aldrig läst vad David gjorde när han och hans män blev hungriga och inte hade något att äta? 26 Han gick in i Guds hus — det var när Evjatar var överstepräst — och åt upp skådebröden, som inga andra än prästerna får äta, och gav också dem som var med honom.” 27 Och Jesus sade till dem: ”Sabbaten blev till för människan och inte människan för sabbaten. 28 Alltså är Människosonen herre också över sabbaten.”

Jesus Heals a Man //Who Could Not Walk
(Matthew 9.1-8; Luke 5.17-26)
1 Jesus went back to Capernaum, and a few days later people heard that he was at home.t
2 Then so many of them came to the house that there wasn't even standing room left in front of the door.
Jesus was still teaching 3 when four people came up, carrying a man on a mat because he could not walk.
4 But because of the crowd, they could not get him to Jesus. So they made a hole in the rooft above him and let the man down in front of everyone.
5 When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the man, “My friend, your sins are forgiven.”
6 Some of the teachers of the Law of Moses were sitting there. They started wondering,
7 “Why would he say such a thing? He must think he is God! Only God can forgive sins.”
8 At once, Jesus knew what they were thinking, and he said, “Why are you thinking such things? 9 Is it easier for me to tell this man his sins are forgiven or to tell him to get up and pick up his mat and go on home? 10 I will show you that the Son of Man has the right to forgive sins here on earth.” So Jesus said to the man,
11 “Get up! Pick up your mat and go on home.”
12 The man got right up. He picked up his mat and went out while everyone watched in amazement. They praised God and said, “We have never seen anything like this!”Jesus Chooses Levi

13 Once again, Jesus went to the shore of Lake Galilee. A large crowd gathered around him, and he taught them.
14 As he walked along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus. Levi was sitting at the place for paying taxes, and Jesus said to him, “Follow me!” So he got up and went with Jesus.
15 Later, Jesus and his disciples were having dinner at Levi's house.t Many tax collectorst and other sinners had become followers of Jesus, and they were also guests at the dinner.
16 Some of the teachers of the Law of Moses were Pharisees, and they saw Jesus eating with sinners and tax collectors. So they asked his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
17 Jesus heard them and answered, “Healthy people don't need a doctor, but sick people do. I didn't come to invite good people to be my followers. I came to invite sinners.”People Ask about Going //without Eating

27 Jesus finished by saying, “People were not made for the good of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for the good of people. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord over the Sabbath.”
