Ang Tawo nga Pingkaw ang Kamot

(Mat. 12:9-14; Luc. 6:6-11)

1  Sa liwat nagbalik si Jesus sa simbahan sang mga Judio kag may tawo didto nga pingkaw + 1 pingkaw: ukon, paralisado. ang kamot.2 Tungod nga ang mga Pariseo nagapangita gid sang kabangdanan nga maakusar nila si Jesus, ginabantayan nila kon bala ayuhon niya ang ato nga tawo sa Adlaw nga Inugpahuway.3 Nagsiling si Jesus sa tawo nga pingkaw,4 Pagkatapos nagpamangkot siya sa mga Pariseo, Pero wala gid sing may nagsabat.5 Gintulok sila ni Jesus nga may kaakig, pero nasubuan man siya tungod sang katig-a sang ila balatyagon. Dayon nagsiling siya sa tawo nga pingkaw, Gin-untay niya, kag nag-ayo ini.

6 Pagkatapos sadto nagguwa ang mga Pariseo kag nagpakigkita sa mga sumulunod ni Haring Herodes. Nagplano sila kon paano nila mapatay si Jesus.

Madamo nga mga Tawo ang Nagtipon kay Jesus

7  Nagkadto si Jesus kag ang iya mga sumulunod sa higad sang Dagat sang Galilea . Nagsunod sa ila ang madamo nga mga tawo nga halin sa Galilea kag sa Judea.8  Madamo man ang naghalin sa Jerusalem, sa Idumea, sa tabok sang Suba sang Jordan, kag sa palibot sang Tyre kag Sidon, kay nabatian nila ang iya ginpanghimo.9 Tungod sa kadamuon sang mga tawo ginsilingan niya ang iya mga sumulunod nga magpreparar sang sakayan para sa iya, agod nga kon magdinaguso sa iya ang mga tawo may masakyan siya.10 Tungod nga madamo ang iya ginpang-ayo, ang tanan nga may masakit nagpanagil-ot agod makatandog sa iya.11  Kag kon makita siya sang mga tawo nga may malaot nga mga espiritu, nagaluhod sila kag nagasinggit,

12 Pero ginpaandaman gid niya ang malaot nga mga espiritu nga indi magpanugid kon sin-o siya.

Ginpili ni Jesus ang Dose ka Apostoles

(Mat. 10:1-4; Luc. 6:12-16)

13 Pagkatapos sadto, nagtaklad si Jesus sa bukid kag gintawag niya ang luyag niya nga pilion. Gani nagpalapit sila sa iya.14 Dayon nagpili siya sang dose [nga iya man gintawag nga mga apostoles] agod mangin kaupod niya kag ipadala niya sa pagpangwali.15 Ginhatagan niya sila sing gahom agod magtabog sang malaot nga mga espiritu.16 [Amo ini ang dose nga iya ginpili:] si Simon (nga iya gin-ngalanan nga Pedro),17 sila ni Santiago kag ni Juan nga mga anak ni Zebedee (gin-ngalanan sila nga Boanerges nga ang buot silingon, mga anak sang daguob),18 si Andres, si Felipe, si Bartolome, si Mateo, si Tomas, si Santiago nga anak ni Alfeus, si Tadeus, si Simon (nga sang una rebelde sa gobyerno sang Roma),

19  kag si Judas Iscariote + 19 Judas Iscariote: Indi apelyido ni Judas ang Siguro ang buot silingon, Judas nga taga-Keriot. nga amo ang nagtraidor kay Jesus.

Si Jesus kag si Satanas

(Mat. 12:22-32; Luc. 11:14-23; 12:10)

20 Dayon, nagpauli sila ni Jesus. Kag nagtilipon liwat ang mga tawo didto, gani si Jesus kag ang iya mga sumulunod wala na sing tiyempo bisan magkaon.

21 Pagkabati sang iya pamilya parte sa mga ginahimo ni Jesus, nagkadto sila didto agod kuhaon siya, kay nagsiling ang mga tawo nga buang siya.
22 Ang mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan nga nag-abot halin sa Jerusalem nagsiling,23 Gintawag ni Jesus ang mga tawo nga magpalapit sa iya, kag naghambal siya sa ila paagi sa sini nga mga paanggid,24  Kon ang mga pumuluyo sang isa ka ginharian magbinahin-bahin kag mag-ilinaway, ina nga ginharian indi makapadayon.25  Amo man ang matabo sa isa ka panimalay kon ang mga nagaestar dira magbinahin-bahin kag mag-ilinaway.

26 Gani kon si Satanas kag ang iya mga sakop magbinahin-bahin kag mag-ilinaway; ang iya ginharian indi man makapadayon kundi malaglag ini.
29 Pero ang bisan sin-o nga magpasipala sa Espiritu Santo indi gid mapatawad. Ini nga sala indi gid mapatawad hasta san-o."

30 Ginhambal ini ni Jesus kay nagasiling ang mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan nga may malaot siya kuno nga espiritu.

Ang Iloy kag ang mga Utod ni Jesus

(Mat. 12:46-50; Luc. 8:19-21)

31 Dayon nag-abot ang iloy kag ang mga utod ni Jesus. Samtang nagatindog sila didto sa guwa sang balay ginpatawag nila siya.32 Madamo nga mga tawo didto ang nagapungko sa palibot ni Jesus. Siling sang mga tawo sa iya,33 Siling niya,34 Nagtulok siya sa mga tawo nga nagapungko sa palibot niya kag nagsiling,35 Ang bisan sin-o nga nagahimo sang kabubut-on sang Dios amo ang akon iloy kag mga utod."

Mark 3

Doing Good on the Sabbath

1-3 Then he went back in the meeting place where he found a man with a crippled hand. The Pharisees had their eyes on Jesus to see if he would heal him, hoping to catch him in a Sabbath infraction. He said to the man with the crippled hand, "Stand here where we can see you."

4 Then he spoke to the people: "What kind of action suits the Sabbath best? Doing good or doing evil? Helping people or leaving them helpless?" No one said a word.

5-6 He looked them in the eye, one after another, angry now, furious at their hard-nosed religion. He said to the man, "Hold out your hand." He held it out—it was as good as new! The Pharisees got out as fast as they could, sputtering about how they would join forces with Herod's followers and ruin him.

The Twelve Apostles

7-10 Jesus went off with his disciples to the sea to get away. But a huge crowd from Galilee trailed after them—also from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, across the Jordan, and around Tyre and Sidon—swarms of people who had heard the reports and had come to see for themselves. He told his disciples to get a boat ready so he wouldn't be trampled by the crowd. He had healed many people, and now everyone who had something wrong was pushing and shoving to get near and touch him.

11-12 Evil spirits, when they recognized him, fell down and cried out, "You are the Son of God!" But Jesus would have none of it. He shut them up, forbidding them to identify him in public.

13-19 He climbed a mountain and invited those he wanted with him. They climbed together. He settled on twelve, and designated them apostles. The plan was that they would be with him, and he would send them out to proclaim the Word and give them authority to banish demons. These are the Twelve:
Simon (Jesus later named him Peter, meaning "Rock"), James, son of Zebedee, John, brother of James (Jesus nicknamed the Zebedee brothers Boanerges, meaning "Sons of Thunder"), Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James, son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Canaanite, Judas Iscariot (who betrayed him).

Satan Fighting Satan?

20-21 Jesus came home and, as usual, a crowd gathered—so many making demands on him that there wasn't even time to eat. His friends heard what was going on and went to rescue him, by force if necessary. They suspected he was getting carried away with himself.

22-27 The religion scholars from Jerusalem came down spreading rumors that he was working black magic, using devil tricks to impress them with spiritual power. Jesus confronted their slander with a story: "Does it make sense to send a devil to catch a devil, to use Satan to get rid of Satan? A constantly squabbling family disintegrates. If Satan were fighting Satan, there soon wouldn't be any Satan left. Do you think it's possible in broad daylight to enter the house of an awake, able-bodied man, and walk off with his possessions unless you tie him up first? Tie him up, though, and you can clean him out.

28-30 "Listen to this carefully. I'm warning you. There's nothing done or said that can't be forgiven. But if you persist in your slanders against God's Holy Spirit, you are repudiating the very One who forgives, sawing off the branch on which you're sitting, severing by your own perversity all connection with the One who forgives." He gave this warning because they were accusing him of being in league with Evil.

Jesus' Mother and Brothers

31-32 Just then his mother and brothers showed up. Standing outside, they relayed a message that they wanted a word with him. He was surrounded by the crowd when he was given the message, "Your mother and brothers and sisters are outside looking for you."

33-35 Jesus responded, "Who do you think are my mother and brothers?" Looking around, taking in everyone seated around him, he said, "Right here, right in front of you—my mother and my brothers. Obedience is thicker than blood. The person who obeys God's will is my brother and sister and mother."
