Jésus guérit un homme le jour du sabbat

1 Ensuite, Jésus retourna dans la synagogue. Il y avait là un homme dont la main était paralysée. 2 Les Pharisiens observaient attentivement Jésus pour voir s’il allait le guérir le jour du sabbat, car ils voulaient l’accuser. 3 Jésus dit à l’homme dont la main était paralysée : « Lève-toi, là, devant tout le monde. » 4 Puis il demanda à ceux qui regardaient : « Que permet notre loi ? de faire du bien le jour du sabbat ou de faire du mal ? de sauver la vie d’un être humain ou de le laisser mourir ? » Mais ils ne voulaient pas répondre. 5 Jésus les regarda tous avec indignation ; il était en même temps profondément attristé qu’ils refusent de comprendre. Il dit alors à l’homme : « Avance ta main. » Il l’avança et sa main redevint saine.
6 Les Pharisiens sortirent de la synagogue et se réunirent aussitôt avec des membres du parti d’Hérodet pour décider comment ils pourraient faire mourir Jésus.Une foule nombreuse vient à Jésus
7 Jésus se retira avec ses disciples au bord du lac de Galilée et une foule nombreuse le suivit. Les gens arrivaient de Galilée et de Judée, 8 de Jérusalem, du territoire d’Iduméet, du territoire situé de l’autre côté du Jourdain et de la région de Tyr et de Sidon. Ils venaient en foule à Jésus parce qu’ils avaient appris tout ce qu’il faisait. 9 Alors Jésus demanda à ses disciples de lui préparer une barque afin que la foule ne l’écrase pas. 10 En effet, comme il guérissait beaucoup de gens, tous ceux qui souffraient de maladies se précipitaient sur lui pour le toucher. 11 Et quand ceux que les esprits mauvais tourmentaient le voyaient, ils se jetaient à ses pieds et criaient : « Tu es le Fils de Dieu ! »
12 Mais Jésus leur recommandait sévèrement de ne pas dire qui il était.Jésus choisit les douze apôtres

13 Puis Jésus monta sur une colline ; il appela les hommes qu’il voulait et ils vinrent à lui. 14 Il forma ainsi le groupe des douze qu’il nomma apôtrest. Il fit cela pour les avoir avec lui et les envoyer annoncer la Bonne Nouvelle, 15 avec le pouvoir de chasser les esprits mauvais. 16 Voici ces douze : Simon – Jésus lui donna le nom de Pierret –, 17 Jacques et son frère Jean, tous deux fils de Zébédée – Jésus leur donna le nom de Boanergès, qui signifie « les hommes semblables au tonnerret » –, 18 André, Philippe, Barthélemy, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques le fils d’Alphée, Thaddée, Simon le nationaliste,
19 et Judas Iscariote, celui qui trahit Jésus.La famille de Jésus veut l’emmener
20 Jésus se rendit ensuite à la maison. Une telle foule s’assembla de nouveau que Jésus et ses disciples ne pouvaient même pas manger.
21 Quand les membres de sa famille apprirent cela, ils se mirent en route pour venir le prendre, car ils disaientt : « Il a perdu la raison ! »Jésus répond à une accusation portée contre lui

22 Les maîtres de la loi qui étaient venus de Jérusalem disaient : « Béelzébult, le diable, habite en lui ! » Et encore : « C’est le chef des esprits mauvais qui lui donne le pouvoir de chasser ces esprits ! » 23 Alors Jésus les appela et leur parla en utilisant des images : « Comment Satan peut-il se chasser lui-même ? 24 Si les membres d’un royaume luttent les uns contre les autres, ce royaume ne peut pas se maintenir ; 25 et si les membres d’une famille luttent les uns contre les autres, cette famille ne pourra pas se maintenir.
26 Si donc Satan lutte contre lui-même, s’il est divisé, son pouvoir ne peut pas se maintenir mais prend fin.
27 « Personne ne peut entrer dans la maison d’un homme fort et s’emparer de ses biens, s’il n’a pas d’abord ligoté cet homme fort ; mais après l’avoir ligoté, il peut s’emparer de tout dans sa maison. 28 Je vous le déclare, c’est la vérité : les êtres humains pourront être pardonnés de tous leurs péchés et de toutes les insultes qu’ils auront faites à Dieu.
29 Mais celui qui aura fait insulte au Saint-Esprit ne recevra jamais de pardon, car il est coupable d’un péché éternel. »
30 Jésus leur parla ainsi parce qu’ils déclaraient : « Un esprit mauvais habite en lui. »La mère et les frères de Jésus

31 La mère et les frères de Jésus arrivèrent alors ; ils se tinrent en dehors de la maison et lui envoyèrent quelqu’un pour l’appeler. 32 Un grand nombre de personnes étaient assises autour de Jésus et on lui dit : « Écoute, ta mère, tes frères et tes sœurst sont dehors et ils te demandent. » 33 Jésus répondit : « Qui est ma mère et qui sont mes frères ? » 34 Puis il regarda les gens assis en cercle autour de lui et dit : « Voyez : ma mère et mes frères sont ici. 35 Car celui qui fait la volonté de Dieu est mon frère, ma sœur ou ma mère. »

1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there who had his hand withered.2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.3 And he saith unto the man that had his hand withered, Stand forth.4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.6 And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.7 And Jesus with his disciples withdrew to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and from Judaea,8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came unto him.9 And he spake to his disciples, that a little boat should wait on him because of the crowd, lest they should throng him:10 for he had healed many; insomuch that as many as had plagues pressed upon him that they might touch him.11 And the unclean spirits, whensoever they beheld him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.12 And he charged them much that they should not make him known.13 And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth unto him whom he himself would; and they went unto him.14 And he appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,15 and to have authority to cast out demons:16 and Simon he surnamed Peter;17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and them he surnamed Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder:18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean,19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. And he cometh into a house.20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.21 And when his friends heard it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.22 And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and, By the prince of the demons casteth he out the demons.23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.26 And if Satan hath risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.27 But no one can enter into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.28 Verily I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and their blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:29 but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin:30 because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.31 And there come his mother and his brethren; and, standing without, they sent unto him, calling him.32 And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.33 And he answereth them, and saith, Who is my mother and my brethren?34 And looking round on them that sat round about him, he saith, Behold, my mother and my brethren!35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
