Mark 3

1 Jésus entra de nouveau dans la synagogue. Il s'y trouvait un homme qui avait la main paralysée.2 Ils observaient Jésus pour voir s'il le guérirait le jour du sabbat: c'était afin de pouvoir l'accuser.3 Jésus dit à l'homme qui avait la main paralysée: «Lève-toi, là au milieu.»4 Puis il leur dit: «Est-il permis, le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien ou de faire du mal, de sauver une personne ou de la tuer?» Mais ils gardèrent le silence.

5 Alors il promena sur eux un regard de colère et, peiné de l'endurcissement de leur cœur, il dit à l'homme: «Tends ta main.» Il la tendit, et sa main fut guérie.

6 Les pharisiens sortirent et tinrent aussitôt conseil avec les hérodienst sur les moyens de le faire mourir.
7 Jésus se retira au bord du lac avec ses disciples. Une foule nombreuse le suivit, venue de la Galilée, de la Judée,8 de Jérusalem, de l'Idumée, de l'autre côté du Jourdain et des environs de Tyr et de Sidon; cette foule vint à lui car elle avait appris tout ce qu'il faisait.9 Il dit à ses disciples de tenir toujours à sa disposition une petite barque afin de ne pas être écrasé par la foule.10 En effet, comme il guérissait beaucoup de gens, tous ceux qui avaient des maladies se jetaient sur lui pour le toucher.11 Les esprits impurs, quand ils le voyaient, se prosternaient devant lui et s'écriaient: «Tu es le Fils de Dieu.»

12 Mais il leur recommandait très sévèrement de ne pas le faire connaître.

Choix des douze apôtres

13 Il monta ensuite sur la montagne; il appela ceux qu'il voulait, et ils vinrent vers lui.14 Il en établit douze [auxquels il donna le nom d'apôtres,] pour qu'ils soient avec lui, et pour les envoyer prêcher15 avec le pouvoir [de guérir les maladies et] de chasser les démons.16 [Voici les douze qu'il établit:] Simon, qu'il appela Pierre;17 Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, frère de Jacques, auxquels il donna le nom de Boanergès, qui signifie «fils du tonnerre»;18 André; Philippe; Barthélémy; Matthieu; Thomas; Jacques, fils d'Alphée; Thaddée; Simon le Cananitet;

19 et Judas l'Iscariott, celui qui trahit Jésus.

Jésus contesté

20 Ils se rendirent à la maison, et la foule se rassembla de nouveau, de sorte qu'ils ne pouvaient même pas prendre leur repas.

21 Lorsqu'ils l'apprirent, les membres de la famille de Jésus vinrent pour s'emparer de lui, car ils disaient: «Il a perdu la raison.»
22 Les spécialistes de la loi qui étaient descendus de Jérusalem disaient: «Il a en lui Béelzébult; c'est par le prince des démons qu'il chasse les démons.»23 Jésus les appela et leur dit sous forme de parabolest: «Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan?24 Si un royaume est confronté à des luttes internes, ce royaume ne peut pas subsister,25 et si une famille est confrontée à des luttes internes, cette famille ne peut pas subsister.26 Si donc Satan se dresse contre lui-même, s'il est divisé, il ne peut pas subsister, c'en est fini de lui.27 Personne ne peut entrer dans la maison d'un homme fort et piller ses biens sans avoir d'abord attaché cet homme fort; alors seulement il pillera sa maison.28 Je vous le dis en vérité, tous les péchés seront pardonnés aux hommes, ainsi que les blasphèmes qu'ils auront proférés,29 mais celui qui blasphémera contre le Saint-Esprit n'obtiendra jamais de pardon: il mérite une condamnation éternelle.»

30 Jésus parla de cette manière parce qu'ils disaient: «Il a un esprit impur.»
31 Sa mère et ses frères arrivèrent donc. Ils se tenaient dehors et l'envoyèrent appeler.32 La foule était assise autour de lui, et on lui dit: «Voici, ta mère et tes frères [et sœurs] sont dehors et te cherchent.»33 Il répondit: «Qui est ma mère, et qui sont mes frères?»34 Puis il promena le regard sur ceux qui étaient assis tout autour de lui et dit: «Voici ma mère et mes frères.

35 En effet, celui qui fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, ma sœur, ma mère.»

Mark 3

1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there who had his hand withered.2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.3 And he saith unto the man that had his hand withered, Stand forth.4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.6 And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.7 And Jesus with his disciples withdrew to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and from Judaea,8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came unto him.9 And he spake to his disciples, that a little boat should wait on him because of the crowd, lest they should throng him:10 for he had healed many; insomuch that as many as had plagues pressed upon him that they might touch him.11 And the unclean spirits, whensoever they beheld him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.12 And he charged them much that they should not make him known.13 And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth unto him whom he himself would; and they went unto him.14 And he appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,15 and to have authority to cast out demons:16 and Simon he surnamed Peter;17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and them he surnamed Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder:18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean,19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. And he cometh into a house.20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.21 And when his friends heard it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.22 And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and, By the prince of the demons casteth he out the demons.23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.26 And if Satan hath risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.27 But no one can enter into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.28 Verily I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and their blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:29 but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin:30 because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.31 And there come his mother and his brethren; and, standing without, they sent unto him, calling him.32 And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.33 And he answereth them, and saith, Who is my mother and my brethren?34 And looking round on them that sat round about him, he saith, Behold, my mother and my brethren!35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
