Jesús sana en el día de descanso

1 Jesús entró de nuevo en la sinagogat y allí estaba un hombre que tenía una mano paralizada.2 Unos lo observaban con atención para ver si Jesús iba a sanar al enfermo en un día de descansot. Estaban buscando algo de qué acusarlo.

3 Jesús le dijo al hombre que tenía la mano paralizada:
—Levántate y ponte frente a todos.

4 Luego Jesús les dijo:
—¿Qué se debe hacer en el día de descanso, el bien o el mal, salvar una vida o destruirla?
Pero ellos seguían en silencio.

5 Entonces Jesús los miró con enojo y a la vez con mucha tristeza porque eran muy tercos. Luego, Jesús le dijo al hombre:
—Extiende la mano.
El hombre la extendió y la mano quedó sana.

6 Inmediatamente los fariseost se fueron y empezaron a hacer planes con los herodianost para matar a Jesús.

Mucha gente sigue a Jesús

7 Jesús salió con sus seguidores hacia el lago Galilea y una gran multitud los siguió.

8 La gente venía de Galilea, de Judea, de Jerusalén, de Idumea, del oriente del Jordán y de la región de Tirot y de Sidónt. Todos iban a ver a Jesús porque habían oído del bien que estaba haciendo.
9 Como Jesús vio que había tanta gente, les pidió a sus seguidores que le consiguieran un bote pequeño. Jesús quería el bote para que la multitud no se amontonara sobre él.10 Él había sanado a mucha gente. Por eso todos los enfermos se empujaban unos a otros para poder llegar hasta Jesús y tocarlo.

11 Cuando los espíritus malignost que algunos tenían veían a Jesús, se arrodillaban ante él y gritaban con fuerza: «¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!»

12 Pero Jesús les ordenó con severidad que no hablaran de él delante de la gente.

Jesús elige a los doce apóstoles

13 Luego, Jesús llamó a los que quiso llevar consigo, se retiró a las montañas y ellos se fueron con él.14 Entre ellos, eligió a doce para que estuvieran con él y luego enviarlos a otros lugares para anunciar su mensaje. Los llamó apóstoles.15 También los eligió para que tuvieran el poder de expulsar demonios.16 Estos son los doce hombres que él eligió: Simón, a quién llamó Pedro;17 Santiago y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, a quienes llamó Boanerges, que significa hijos del trueno;18 Andrés, Felipe, Bartolomé, Mateo, Tomás y Santiago hijo de Alfeo; Tadeo, Simón el zelotet

19 y Judas Iscariote, quien después lo entregó.

El poder de Jesús es de Dios

20 Luego Jesús regresó a casa y nuevamente se reunió una gran multitud. Había tanta gente que Jesús y sus seguidores no pudieron ni comer.

21 Cuando los familiares de Jesús supieron lo que estaba pasando, fueron rápido a llevárselo, pues había mucha gente diciendo que estaba loco.

22 Los maestros de la ley que venían de Jerusalén decían: «¡Beelzebú está con él! Él expulsa a los demonios por el poder del jefe de los demonios».
23 Entonces Jesús llamó a la gente y empezó a hablarles con ejemplost: «¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar a Satanás?24 Si un reino se divide contra sí mismo, no podrá sobrevivir.25 Así mismo, una familia que se divide contra sí misma, tampoco podrá sobrevivir.

26 Entonces, si Satanás está contra sí mismo y se divide, no podrá sobrevivir y habrá llegado a su fin.

27 »Nadie puede entrar a la casa de un hombre fuerte y robar sus pertenencias así nada más. Primero hay que atar al hombre fuerte y luego sí robar su casa.
28 »Les digo la verdad: Dios le perdonará a la gente cualquier pecado, incluso a quien reniegue de él,

29 pero jamás perdonará a quien se atreva a renegar del Espíritu Santo. El que lo haga será culpable para siempre de ese pecado».

30 Dijo esto porque los maestros de la ley lo acusaban de tener un espíritu malignot.

La verdadera familia de Jesús

31 Luego llegaron la mamá y los hermanos de Jesús, se quedaron afuera y mandaron a alguien para que lo llamara.

32 La multitud estaba sentada a su alrededor y le dijeron:
—¡Oye! Tu mamá, tus hermanos y tus hermanast te están buscando afuera.

33 Y Jesús respondió:
—¿Quiénes son mi mamá y mis hermanos?

34 Y mirando a todos los que estaban sentados a su alrededor dijo:
—¡Aquí están mi mamá y mis hermanos!

35 Pues el que haga lo que Dios quiere, ese es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi mamá.

Mark 3

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath

1 He entered again into a synagogue; and a man was there whose hand was withered.2 They were watching Him to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.3 He *said to the man with the withered hand, "Get up and come forward!"4 And He *said to them, "Is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to kill?" But they kept silent.5 After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He *said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.6 The Pharisees went out and immediately began conspiring with the Herodians against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

7 Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and also from Judea,8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard of all that He was doing and came to Him.9 And He told His disciples that a boat should stand ready for Him because of the crowd, so that they would not crowd Him;10 for He had healed many, with the result that all those who had afflictions pressed around Him in order to touch Him.11 Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they would fall down before Him and shout, "You are the Son of God!"12 And He earnestly warned them not to tell who He was.

The Twelve Are Chosen

13 And He *went up on the mountain and *summoned those whom He Himself wanted, and they came to Him.14 And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach,15 and to have authority to cast out the demons.16 And He appointed the twelve: Simon (to whom He gave the name Peter),17 and James, the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (to them He gave the name Boanerges, which means, "Sons of Thunder");18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot;19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him.

20 And He *came thome, and the crowd *gathered again, to such an extent that they could not even eat a meal.21 When His own tpeople heard of this, they went out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, "He has lost His senses."22 The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, "He is possessed by Beelzebul," and "He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons."23 And He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan?24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.25 If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.26 If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished!27 But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.

28 "Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"-30 because they were saying, "He has an unclean spirit."

31 Then His mother and His brothers *arrived, and standing outside they sent word to Him and called Him.32 A crowd was sitting around Him, and they *said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You."33 Answering them, He *said, "Who are My mother and My brothers?"34 Looking about at those who were sitting around Him, He *said, "Behold My mother and My brothers!35 For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother."
