5 บาง_เมล็ด_ก็_ตก_บน_ดิน_ที่_ชั้น_ล่าง_เป็น_หิน มี_ดิน_ไม่_มาก เมล็ด_นั้น_ก็_งอก_ขึ้น_อย่าง_รวดเร็ว_แต่_เนื่อง_จาก_มี_ดิน_ไม่_ลึก

6 เมื่อ_ดวง_อาทิตย์ขึ้น_พืช_นั้น_ถูก_แดด_แผด_เผา_และ_เนื่อง_จาก_มี_ราก_ตื้นๆ_พืช_นั้น_ก็_เหี่ยว_แห้ง_ตาย_ไป

7 บาง_เมล็ด_ตกใน_พง_หนาม หนาม_ก็_งอก_ขึ้น_มา_ปกคลุม_พืช_นั้น_ไว้_จึง_ไม่_ออก_ดอก_ออก_ผล

8 และ_บาง_เมล็ด_ตกลง_ใน_ดิน_ดี_ก็_เจริญ_งอก_งาม_ขึ้น_มา_เกิด_ดอก_ออก_ผล_สาม_สิบ_เท่า_บ้าง หก_สิบ_เท่า_บ้าง และ_ร้อย_เท่า_บ้าง”

9 แล้ว_พระองค์_ก็_พูด_ว่า “ใคร_มี_หู_ก็_ฟัง_ไว้_ให้_ดี”

10 ต่อมา_เมื่อ_พระ_เยซู_อยู่_คน_เดียว ศิษย์_ทั้ง_สิบ_สอง_คน_พร้อม_กับ_คน_ที่_ติด_ตาม_ก็_มา_ถาม_ถึง_ความ_หมาย_ของ_เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ_พวก_นั้น

15 เมล็ด_ที่_ตกลง_บน_ถนน_หน_ทาง_ก็_เหมือน_กับ_คน_ที่_ฟัง_ถ้อย_คำ_ของ_พระเจ้า แต่_ซาตาน_มา_แย่ง_เอา_ถ้อย_คำ_ที่_ได้_หว่าน_ไว้_ใน_พวก_เขา_นั้น_ไป_ทัน_ที

16 ส่วน_เมล็ด_ที่_ตกลง_บน_ดิน_ตื้นๆ_ที่_มี_หิน_อยู่_ข้าง_ล่าง ก็_เหมือน_กับ_คน_ที่_ฟัง_พระคำ แล้ว_รีบ_รับ_ไว้_ด้วย_ความ_ยินดี

17 แต่_ราก_ไม่_ลึก_จึง_ไม่_ทน_ทาน เมื่อ_เจอ_กับ_ความ_ทุกข์_เดือด_ร้อน_หรือ_ถูก_ข่มเหง_เพราะ_เชื่อ_ใน_ถ้อย_คำ_นั้น เขา_ก็_เลิก_เชื่อ_ทัน_ที

18 เมล็ด_ที่_ตกลง_ใน_พง_หนาม_ก็_เหมือน_กับ_คน_ที่_ฟัง_ถ้อย_คำ_แล้ว

19 แต่_ยัง_เป็น_ห่วง_กังวล_เกี่ยว_กับ_ชีวิต_ใน_โลก_นี้ หลง_ไหล_อยู่_กับ_ทรัพย์_สมบัติ_และ_ความ_โลภ_ที่_ไม่_สิ้น_สุด สิ่ง_เหล่า_นี้_มา_คลุม_ถ้อย_คำ_ไว้_เลย_ไม่_เกิด_ผล

20 เมล็ด_ที่_ตกใน_ดิน_ดี ก็_เหมือน_กับ_คน_ที่_ฟัง_ถ้อย_คำ_แล้ว_รับ_ไว้ และ_ออก_ดอก_ออก_ผล สาม_สิบ_เท่า_บ้าง หก_สิบ_เท่า_บ้าง และ_หนึ่ง_ร้อย_เท่า_บ้าง”

21 แล้ว_พระองค์_พูด_กับ_พวก_เขา_ว่า “มี_ใคร_บ้าง_ที่_จุด_ตะเกียง_แล้ว_เอา_ไป_ไว้_ใต้_ถัง_หรือ_ใต้_เตียง เขา_จุด_ตะเกียง_เอา_ไว้_บน_เชิง_ตะเกียง_ไม่_ใช่_หรือ

22 อะไร_ที่_แอบ_ซ่อน_อยู่_จะ_ถูก_เปิดโปง และ_ความ_ลับ_ทุก_อย่าง_จะ_ถูก_เปิดเผย_หมด

23 ใคร_มี_หู_ก็_ฟัง_ไว้_ดีๆ”

24 พระองค์_พูด_กับ_พวก_เขา_อีก_ว่า “คิด_ให้_ดีๆ_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_คุณ_ได้_ฟัง ยิ่ง_ทำ_อย่าง_นี้_มาก_เท่า_ไร ก็_จะ_ยิ่ง_เข้า_ใจ_มาก_ขึ้น_เท่า_นั้น และ_จะ_ได้_มาก_กว่า_นั้น_เสีย_ด้วย_ซ้ำ

25 คน_ที่_เข้า_ใจ_อยู่_แล้ว_ก็_จะ_เข้า_ใจ_มาก_ยิ่ง_ขึ้น ส่วน_คน_ที่_ไม่_เข้า_ใจ_แล้ว_ยัง_ไม่_สนใจ_ฟัง_อีก แม้_สิ่ง_ที่_เขา_เข้า_ใจ_ก็_จะ_หาย_ไป_ด้วย”

เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ_การ_งอก_ของ_เมล็ด_พืช

26 พระองค์_พูด_ต่อว่า “อาณา_จักร_ของ_พระเจ้า_เปรียบ_เหมือน_กับ_ชาย_คน_หนึ่ง_ที่_หว่าน_เมล็ด_พืช_ลง_ใน_ดิน

27 ไม่ว่า_ชาย_คน_นั้น_จะ_หลับ_หรือ_ตื่น พืช_นั้น_ก็_แตก_หน่อ_และ_เจริญ_งอก_งาม_ขึ้น_เรื่อยๆ_ทุก_วัน_ทุก_คืน โดย_ที่_ชาย_คน_นี้_ไม่_รู้_ว่า_มัน_งอก_ขึ้น_มา_ได้_ยัง_ไง

28 เพราะ_ดิน_เป็น_ตัว_ที่_ทำ_ให้_เมล็ด_พืช_นั้น_งอก_ขึ้น_เป็น_ลำต้น เริ่ม_จาก_ต้น_อ่อน_ก่อน_แล้ว_ต่อมา_ก็_เป็น_รวง และ_มี_เมล็ด_เต็ม_รวง

29 เมื่อ_เมล็ด_สุก_เหลือง_อร่าม_ชาว_นา_ก็_รีบ_เอา_เคียว_มา_เกี่ยว_พืช_ทัน_ที เพราะ_ถึง_ฤดู_เก็บ_เกี่ยว_แล้ว”

เมล็ด_มัส_ตาร์ด

30 แล้ว_พระองค์_ก็_ถาม_ว่า “จะ_เปรียบ_เทียบ_อาณา_จักร_ของ_พระเจ้า_เหมือน_กับ_อะไร_ดี เปรียบ_เทียบ_กับ_เรื่อง_อะไร_ให้_ฟัง_ดี

31 เปรียบ_กับ_เมล็ด_มัสตาร์ด_ก็_แล้ว_กัน เมล็ด_ชนิด_นี้_ตอน_ที่_ปลูก_ลง_ใน_ดิน_นั้น_มัน_เล็ก_มาก

32 แต่_พอ_โต_ขึ้น_มา_กลาย_เป็น_ต้น_ที่_ใหญ่_ที่สุด_ใน_พวก_พืช_สวน_ครัว_ทั้ง_หมด และ_ได้_แผ่_กิ่ง_ก้าน_สาขา_จน_นก_มา_ทำ_รัง_ใต้_ร่ม_ไม้_ได้”

33 พระองค์_ใช้_เรื่อง_แบบ_นี้_อีก_หลาย_เรื่อง_สั่งสอน_ฝูงชน เกี่ยว_กับ_ถ้อย_คำ_ของ_พระเจ้า_เท่า_ที่_พวก_เขา_จะ_รับ_ไหว

34 พระองค์_เล่า_ทุก_เรื่อง_โดย_ใช้_เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ_หมด และ_เมื่อ_อยู่_กัน_ตาม_ลำพัง_กับ_ศิษย์_พระองค์_ก็_จะ_อธิบาย_ให้_พวก_เขา_เข้า_ใจ_ทุก_อย่าง

พระ_เยซู_ห้าม_พายุ

35 ใน_เย็น_วัน_นั้น_พระองค์_บอก_กับ_พวก_ศิษย์_ว่า “ข้าม_ไป_ฝั่ง_โน้น_กัน_เถอะ”

36 พวก_เขา_ก็_ทิ้ง_ฝูงชน_มา_ขึ้น_เรือ_ที่_พระ_เยซู_นั่ง_อยู่_ก่อน_แล้ว มี_เรือ_ลำ_อื่นๆ_ตาม_ไป_ด้วย

37 มี_พายุ_ใหญ่_เกิด_ขึ้น ทำ_ให้_คลื่น_ซัด_น้ำ_เข้า_มา_จน_เกือบ_เต็ม_ลำ_เรือ

38 แต่_พระ_เยซู_ยัง_นอน_หนุน_หมอน_หลับ_อยู่_ท้าย_เรือ พวก_ศิษย์_จึง_มา_ปลุก_พระ_องค์_และ_บอก_ว่า “อาจารย์ ไม่_ห่วง_กัน_บ้าง_เลย_หรือ พวก_เรา_กำ_ลัง_จะ_จม_น้ำ_ตาย_กัน_อยู่_แล้ว”

39 พระองค์_จึง_ลุก_ขึ้น_สั่ง_ห้าม_ลม_และ_คลื่น_ว่า “เงียบ_สงบ_ซะ” และ_ทัน_ใด_นั้น_เอง ลม_ก็_หยุด_พัด_และ_คลื่น_ก็_สงบ_ลง

40 แล้ว_พระองค์_พูด_กับ_พวก_เขา_ว่า “กลัว_อะไร_กัน ยัง_ไม่_ไว้_วางใจ_เรา_อีก_หรือ”

41 แต่_พวก_เขา_กลับ_กลัว_มาก_และ_พูด_กัน_ว่า “คน_นี้_เป็น_ใคร_กัน_นะ ขนาด_ลม_และ_คลื่น_ยัง_ฟัง_เขา_เลย”

Mark 4

Parable of the Sower and Soils

1 He began to teach again by the sea. And such a very large crowd gathered to Him that He got into a boat in the sea and sat down; and the whole crowd was by the sea on the land.2 And He was teaching them many things in parables, and was saying to them in His teaching,3 "Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow;4 as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up.5 Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil.6 And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.7 Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.8 Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold."9 And He was saying, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

10 As soon as He was alone, His followers, along with the twelve, began asking Him about the parables.11 And He was saying to them, "To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables,12 so that WHILE SEEING, THEY MAY SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE, AND WHILE HEARING, THEY MAY HEAR AND NOT UNDERSTAND, OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT RETURN AND BE FORGIVEN."

Explanation

13 And He *said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables?14 The sower sows the word.15 These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.16 In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy;17 and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.18 And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word,19 but the worries of the tworld, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.20 And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold."

21 And He was saying to them, "A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lampstand?22 For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light.23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."24 And He was saying to them, "Take care what you listen to. By your standard of measure it will be measured to you; and more will be given you besides.25 For whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him."

Parable of the Seed

26 And He was saying, "The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil;27 and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows-how, he himself does not know.28 The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head.29 But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come."

Parable of the Mustard Seed

30 And He said, "How shall we tpicture the kingdom of God, or by what parable shall we present it?31 It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the soil, though it is smaller than all the seeds that are upon the soil,32 yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and forms large branches; so that THE BIRDS OF THE tAIR can NEST UNDER ITS SHADE."

33 With many such parables He was speaking the word to them, so far as they were able to hear it;34 and He did not speak to them without a parable; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples.

Jesus Stills the Sea

35 On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, "Let us go over to the other side."36 Leaving the crowd, they *took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him.37 And there *arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.38 Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they *woke Him and *said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"39 And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Hush, be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.40 And He said to them, "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?"41 They became very much afraid and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?"
