マタイによる福音書

第1章

1 アブラハムの子であるダビデの子、イエス・キリストの系図。2 アブラハムはイサクの父であり、イサクはヤコブの父、ヤコブはユダとその兄弟たちとの父、3 ユダはタマルによるパレスとザラとの父、パレスはエスロンの父、エスロンはアラムの父、4 アラムはアミナダブの父、アミナダブはナアソンの父、ナアソンはサルモンの父、5 サルモンはラハブによるボアズの父、ボアズはルツによるオベデの父、オベデはエッサイの父、6 エッサイはダビデ王の父であった。ダビデはウリヤの妻によるソロモンの父であり、7 ソロモンはレハベアムの父、レハベアムはアビヤの父、アビヤはアサの父、8 アサはヨサパテの父、ヨサパテはヨラムの父、ヨラムはウジヤの父、9 ウジヤはヨタムの父、ヨタムはアハズの父、アハズはヒゼキヤの父、10 ヒゼキヤはマナセの父、マナセはアモンの父、アモンはヨシヤの父、11 ヨシヤはバビロンへ移されたころ、エコニヤとその兄弟たちとの父となった。12 バビロンへ移されたのち、エコニヤはサラテルの父となった。サラテルはゾロバベルの父、13 ゾロバベルはアビウデの父、アビウデはエリヤキムの父、エリヤキムはアゾルの父、14 アゾルはサドクの父、サドクはアキムの父、アキムはエリウデの父、15 エリウデはエレアザルの父、エレアザルはマタンの父、マタンはヤコブの父、16 ヤコブはマリヤの夫ヨセフの父であった。このマリヤからキリストといわれるイエスがお生れになった。17 だから、アブラハムからダビデまでの代は合わせて十四代、ダビデからバビロンへ移されるまでは十四代、そして、バビロンへ移されてからキリストまでは十四代である。18 イエス・キリストの誕生の次第はこうであった。母マリヤはヨセフと婚約していたが、まだ一緒にならない前に、聖霊によって身重になった。19 夫ヨセフは正しい人であったので、彼女のことが公けになることを好まず、ひそかに離縁しようと決心した。20 彼がこのことを思いめぐらしていたとき、主の使が夢に現れて言った、「ダビデの子ヨセフよ、心配しないでマリヤを妻として迎えるがよい。その胎内に宿っているものは聖霊によるのである。21 彼女は男の子を産むであろう。その名をイエスと名づけなさい。彼は、おのれの民をそのもろもろの罪から救う者となるからである」。22 すべてこれらのことが起ったのは、主が預言者によって言われたことの成就するためである。すなわち、23 「見よ、おとめがみごもって男の子を産むであろう。その名はインマヌエルと呼ばれるであろう」。これは、「神われらと共にいます」という意味である。24 ヨセフは眠りからさめた後に、主の使が命じたとおりに、マリヤを妻に迎えた。25 しかし、子が生れるまでは、彼女を知ることはなかった。そして、その子をイエスと名づけた。

The Genealogy of Jesus Christ

1 This is the record of the genealogyt of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham was the fathert of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,3 Judah the father of Perez and Zerah (by Tamar), Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,4 Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,5 Salmon the father of Boaz (by Rahab), Boaz the father of Obed (by Ruth), Obed the father of Jesse,

6 and Jesse the father of David the king.
David was the father of Solomon (by the wife of Uriahs),7 Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa,s8 Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, Joram the father of Uzziah,9 Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,10 Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon,s Amon the father of Josiah,

11 and Josiahs the father of Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.
12 Aftert the deportation to Babylon, Jeconiah became the father of Shealtiel,s Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,13 Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,14 Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Achim, Achim the father of Eliud,15 Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,

16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, by whomsss Jesus was born, who is called Christ.ts

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to Christ,ts fourteen generations.

The Birth of Jesus Christ

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way. While his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came together,t she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.19 Because Joseph, her husband to be,t was a righteous man, and because he did not want to disgrace her, he intended to divorce herts privately.20 When he had contemplated this, ant angel of the Lordt appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.21 She will give birth to a son and you will name himt Jesus,s because he will save his people from their sins.”22 This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled:23 “Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call himtEmmanuel,”s which meanst “God with us.”s24 When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lordt told him. He took his wife,

25 but did not have marital relationst with her until she gave birth to a son, whom he namedt Jesus.
