Genealogía de Jesucristo
1 Libro de la genealogía (los antepasados) de Jesucristo (Jesús el Mesías), hijo (descendiente) de David, hijo (descendiente) de Abraham.
2 Abraham fue padre de Isaac, Isaac de Jacob, y Jacob de Judá y de sus hermanos;3 Judá fue padre de Fares y de Zara, cuya madre fue Tamar; Fares fue padre de Esrom, y Esrom de Aram;4 Aram fue padre de Aminadab, Aminadab de Naasón, y Naasón de Salmón;5 Salmón fue padre de Booz, cuya madre fue Rahab; Booz fue padre de Obed, cuya madre fue Rut; y Obed fue padre de Isaí;
6 Isaí fue padre del rey David.
Y David fue padre de Salomón, cuya madre Betsabé había sido mujer de Urías.7 Salomón fue padre de Roboam, Roboam de Abías, y Abías de Asa;8 Asa fue padre de Josafat, Josafat de Joram, y Joram de Uzías;9 Uzías fue padre de Jotam, Jotam de Acaz, y Acaz de Ezequías;10 Ezequías fue padre de Manasés, Manasés de Amón, y Amón de Josías;
11 Josías fue padre de Jeconías (llamado también Joaquín) y de sus hermanos durante la deportación a Babilonia.
12 Después de la deportación a Babilonia, Jeconías fue padre de Salatiel, y Salatiel de Zorobabel;13 Zorobabel fue padre de Abiud, Abiud de Eliaquim, y Eliaquim de Azor;14 Azor fue padre de Sadoc, Sadoc de Aquim, y Aquim de Eliud;15 Eliud fue padre de Eleazar, Eleazar de Matán, y Matán de Jacob;
16 Jacob fue padre de José, el marido de María, de la cual nació Jesús, llamado el Cristo (el Mesías).
17 De manera que todas las generaciones desde Abraham hasta David son catorce generaciones; y desde David hasta la deportación a Babilonia, catorce generaciones; y desde la deportación a Babilonia hasta Cristo, catorce generaciones.
Nacimiento de Jesucristo
18 El nacimiento de Jesucristo fue como sigue: estando Su madre María comprometida para casarse con José, antes de que se llevara a cabo el matrimonio, se halló que había concebido por obra del Espíritu Santo.19 Entonces José su marido, siendo un hombre justo y no queriendo denunciarla públicamente, quiso abandonarla en secreto.20 Pero mientras pensaba en esto, se le apareció en sueños un ángel del Señor, diciéndole: "José, hijo de David, no temas recibir a María tu mujer, porque el Niño que se ha engendrado en ella es del Espíritu Santo.
21 Y dará a luz un Hijo, y Le pondrás por nombre Jesús, porque El salvará a Su pueblo de sus pecados."
22 Todo esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo que el Señor había hablado por medio del profeta (Isaías), diciendo:23 "He aqui, la virgen concebira y dara a luz un Hijo, y Le pondran por nombre Emmanuel," que traducido significa: "Dios con nosotros."24 Cuando José despertó del sueño, hizo como el ángel del Señor le había mandado, y tomó consigo a María como su mujer;25 y la conservó virgen hasta que dio a luz un Hijo; y Le puso por nombre Jesús.

1 This is the record of the genealogyt of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham was the fathert of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,3 Judah the father of Perez and Zerah (by Tamar), Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,4 Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,5 Salmon the father of Boaz (by Rahab), Boaz the father of Obed (by Ruth), Obed the father of Jesse,
6 and Jesse the father of David the king.
David was the father of Solomon (by the wife of Uriahs),7 Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa,s8 Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, Joram the father of Uzziah,9 Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,10 Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon,s Amon the father of Josiah,
11 and Josiahs the father of Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.
12 Aftert the deportation to Babylon, Jeconiah became the father of Shealtiel,s Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,13 Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,14 Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Achim, Achim the father of Eliud,15 Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, by whomsss Jesus was born, who is called Christ.ts
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to Christ,ts fourteen generations.
The Birth of Jesus Christ
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way. While his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came together,t she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.19 Because Joseph, her husband to be,t was a righteous man, and because he did not want to disgrace her, he intended to divorce herts privately.20 When he had contemplated this, ant angel of the Lordt appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.21 She will give birth to a son and you will name himt Jesus,s because he will save his people from their sins.”22 This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled:23 “Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call himtEmmanuel,”s which meanst “God with us.”s24 When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lordt told him. He took his wife,
25 but did not have marital relationst with her until she gave birth to a son, whom he namedt Jesus.
