一二

1 　そのころのことです。　イエスは弟子たちといっしょに、麦畑の中を歩いておられました。　ちょうど、ユダヤの礼拝日にあたる安息日でしたが、お腹がすいた弟子たちは、麦の穂を摘み取って食べ始めました。
2 　ところが、それを見た、あるパリサイ人たちが抗議しました。「お弟子さんたちが、おきてを破ってますよ。　安息日に刈り入れをするなど、もってのほかだ。」
3 　しかし、イエスは言われました。　「ダビデ王とその家来たちが空腹になった時、どんなことをしたか、聖書（旧約）で読んだことがないのですか。　4 ダビデ王は神殿に入り、祭司しか食べられない供え物のパンを、みんなで食べたではないですか。　王でさえ、おきてを破ったわけです。　5 また、神殿で奉仕をする祭司は、安息日に働いてもよい、と聖書に書いてあるのを、読んだことがないのですか。　6 ことわっておきますが、このわたしは、神殿よりもずっと偉大なのです。　7 もしあなたがたが、『わたしは供え物を受けるより、あなたがたにあわれみ深くなってほしいのです』という聖書のことばをよく理解していたら、罪もない人たちを、とがめたりはしなかったはずです。　8 安息日といえども、天から来たわたしの支配下にあるのですから。」
9 　このあとで、イエスは会堂にお入りになりました。　10 ふとごらんになると、そこに、片手の不自由な男がいます。　これ幸いとばかり、パリサイ人たちは、「安息日に病気を治してやっても、おきてに違反しないでしょうか」と尋ねました。　それは、イエスがきっと「さしつかえない」と答えるだろうから、そうしたら逮捕しよう、という計略でした。　11 ところが、イエスの答えは違いました。　「あなたがたが、羊を一匹飼っていたとします。　ところが、その羊が安息日に井戸に落ちてしまった。　さあ、どうしますか。　もちろん、すぐに助けてあげるでしょう。　12 人間の値打は、羊などとは、比べものになりません。　だから、安息日に良いことをするのは、正しいことなのです。」　13 それからイエスは、片手の不自由な男に、「手を伸ばしなさい」と言われ、彼がそのとおりにすると、手はすっかりよくなりました。
14 　そこでパリサイ人たちは、どうにかしてイエスを逮捕し死刑にしようと、集まって陰謀を巡らしました。　15 しかし、それに気づいたイエスは、いち早く会堂を抜け出されました。　すると、大ぜいの人がついて来たので、その中の病人をみな治されました。　16 そして彼らに、この奇蹟のうわさを言い広めないようにと、くれぐれも注意なさいました。　17 こうして、イザヤの預言のとおりになったのです。
18 　「わたしのしもべを見よ。
彼こそわたしの選んだ者。
わたしが喜ぶ、わたしの愛する者。
わたしは彼の上にわたしの霊を置き、
彼は国々をさばく。
19 　彼は争わず、
叫ぶことも大声をあげることもない。
20 　弱い者を踏み倒さず、
どんな小さな望みの火も消さない。
彼は最後の勝利を飾り、
あらゆる争いに終止符を打つ。
21 　彼の名こそ、全世界の希望となる。」
22 　その時、悪霊に取りつかれて、目も見えず、口もきけない人が連れて来られたので、イエスは彼の目を開け、口もきけるようになさいました。　23 これを見た人々は驚き、「やっぱり、この人がメシヤ（救い主）ではないだろうか」と言い合いました。
24 　しかし、このことを耳にしたパリサイ人たちは、「イエスが悪霊を追い出せるのは、自分が悪霊の王ベルゼブル（サタン）だからさ」とうそぶきました。
25 　イエスは彼らの考えを見抜き、こう言われました。　「内紛の絶えない国は、結局滅びます。　町でも、家庭でも、分裂していては長続きしません。　26 もしサタンがサタンを追い出すなら、自分で自分と戦い、自分の国を破壊することになるのです。　27 わたしがベルゼブルの力で悪霊を追い出していると言うが、あなたがたの仲間も、悪霊を追い出しているではありませんか。　彼らは、いったい何の力で追い出しているのですか。　あなたがたの非難があたっているかどうか、彼らに答えてもらいましょう。　28 ところで、もしわたしが神の霊によって悪霊を追い出しているとしたら、どうでしょう。　神の国はもう、あなたがたのところに来ているのです。　29 強い者の家に押し入って、物を盗み出すには、まず、その強い者を縛り上げなければなりません。　悪霊も同じことです。　まずサタンを縛り上げなければ、悪霊を追い出せるわけがありません。　30 わたしに味方しない者はだれでもみな、わたしの敵なのです。
31-32 だから、あなたがたに言っておきます。　どんなにわたしを悪く言おうと、またどんな罪を犯そうと、神は赦してくださいます。　ただ一つ、聖霊を汚すことだけは例外です。　この罪ばかりは、いつの世でも絶対に赦されることはありません。
33 　木の良し悪しは、実で見分けます。　良い品種は良い実をつけ、劣った品種は悪い実をつけるものです。　34 ああ、まむしの子らよ。　あなたがたのような悪者の口から、どうして正しい、良いことばが出てくるでしょう。　人の心の思いが、そのまま口から出てくるのですから。　　35 良い人のことばを聞けば、その人の心の中にすばらしい宝がたくわえられていることがわかります。　しかし、悪い人の心の中は悪意でいっぱいです。　36 言っておきますが、やがてさばきの日には、あなたがたは今まで口にしたむだ口を、一つ一つ釈明しなければならないのです。　37 いま口にすることばしだいで、あなたがたの将来は決まります。自分のことばによって、正しい者と認められるか、あるいは有罪を宣告されるか、そのどちらかになるのです。」
証拠を求める人々
38 　ある日、ユダヤ人の指導者とパリサイ人のうちの何人かがやって来て、ほんとうにメシヤ（救い主）なら、その証拠に奇蹟を見せてほしいと頼みました。
39 　しかしイエスは、お答えになりました。　「悪と不信の時代に生きる人々だけが、証拠を要求するのです。　けれども、預言者ヨナに起こったこと以外は、何の証拠も与えられません。　40 つまり、ヨナが三日三晩大きな魚の腹の中で過ごしたように、メシヤのわたしも、三日三晩、地の中で過ごすからです。　41 さばきの日には、あのニネベの人々が、あなたがたをきびしく罰する側に立つでしょう。　ニネベの人々はヨナの教えを聞いて、それまでの堕落した生活を悔い改め、神に立ち返ったからです。　ところが、今ここに、ヨナとは比べものにならないほど偉大な者が立っているのに、あなたがたはその人を信じようとしません。　42 シェバの女王でさえ、あなたがたをきびしく罰する側に回るでしょう。　彼女は、ソロモンから知恵のことばを聞こうと、あれほど遠い国から旅して来ることも、いとわなかったからです。　ここに、そのソロモンより、もっと偉大な者がいるのに、あなたがたは信じようとしません。
43 　この邪悪な時代に生きる人たちは、ちょうど悪霊に取りつかれた人のようです。　せっかく、その人から悪霊が出て行っても、しばらくの間、悪霊は別の住みかを求めて荒野をあちこち歩き回るだけです。結局、適当な場所が見つからないので、　44 『もとの家に帰ろう』と帰ってみると、その人の心はきれいに片づけてあり、しかも空っぽです。　45 そこで、しめたとばかり、もっとたちの悪い七つの霊を連れ込んで、住みついてしまうというわけです。　こうなると、その人の状態は以前より、はるかに悲惨なものとなります。」
46 　イエスが人々のひしめき合う家の中で話しておられた時、母と弟たちがやって来ました。　イエスと話がしたかったからです。　47 だれかが、「先生。　お母様と弟さんたちがお見えですよ」と知らせると、　48 イエスは、みんなを見回して、「わたしの母や兄弟とは、いったいだれのことですか」と言われました。　49 そして弟子たちを指さし、「ごらんなさい。　この人たちこそわたしの母であり兄弟です。　50 天におられるわたしの父に従う人はだれでも、わたしの母であり、兄弟であり、姉妹なのです」と言われました。天国のたとえ話

Matthew 12

1 At that season Jesus went on the sabbath day through the grainfields; and his disciples were hungry and began to pluck ears and to eat.2 But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which it is not lawful to do upon the sabbath.3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him;4 how he entered into the house of God, and ate the showbread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them that were with him, but only for the priests?5 Or have ye not read in the law, that on the sabbath day the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are guiltless?6 But I say unto you, that one greater than the temple is here.7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.8 For the Son of man is lord of the sabbath.

9 And he departed thence, and went into their synagogue:10 and behold, a man having a withered hand. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? that they might accuse him.11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be of you, that shall have one sheep, and if this fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?12 How much then is a man of more value than a sheep! Wherefore it is lawful to do good on the sabbath day.13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, as the other.14 But the Pharisees went out, and took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

15 And Jesus perceiving it withdrew from thence: and many followed him; and he healed them all,16 and charged them that they should not make him known:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,

18 Behold, my servant whom I have chosen; My beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit upon him, And he shall declare judgment to the Gentiles.

19 He shall not strive, nor cry aloud; Neither shall any one hear his voice in the streets.

20 A bruised reed shall he not break, And smoking flax shall he not quench, Till he send forth judgment unto victory.

21 And in his name shall the Gentiles hope.

22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a demon, blind and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the dumb man spake and saw.23 And all the multitudes were amazed, and said, Can this be the son of David?24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man doth not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub the prince of the demons.25 And knowing their thoughts he said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:26 and if Satan casteth out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.28 But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God come upon you.29 Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.30 He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.31 Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in that which is to come.33 Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit.34 Ye offspring of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.35 The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.36 And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

38 Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, Teacher, we would see a sign from thee.39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet:40 for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.41 The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.43 But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of the man, passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, and findeth it not.44 Then he saith, I will return into my house whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this evil generation.

46 While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him.47 And one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, seeking to speak to thee.48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?49 And he stretched forth his hand towards his disciples, and said, Behold, my mother and my brethren!50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
