مَثَل برزگر

(مرقس 1:4-9؛ لوقا 4:8-8)

1 در همان روز عیسی از خانه خارج شد و به كنار دریا رفت و آنجا نشست. 2 جمعیّت زیادی به دور او جمع شد به طوری که او مجبور گردید سوار قایقی شده در آن بنشیند درحالی‌که مردم در ساحل دریا ایستاده بودند.

3 عیسی مطالب بسیاری را با مَثَل به آنها گفت. او فرمود:
«برزگری برای پاشیدن بذر به مزرعه رفت. 4 وقتی مشغول پاشیدن بذر در مزرعه بود، بعضی از دانه‌ها در وسط راه افتادند و پرندگان آمده آنها را خوردند. 5 بعضی از دانه‌ها روی سنگلاخ افتادند و چون زمین عمقی نداشت زود سبز شدند. 6 امّا وقتی خورشید بر آنها تابید همه سوختند و چون ریشه نداشتند خشک شدند. 7 بعضی از دانه‌ها به داخل خارها افتادند و خارها رشد كرده آنها را خفه كردند. 8 بعضی از دانه‌ها در خاک خوب افتادند و از هر دانه صد یا شصت یا سی دانه به دست آمد.

9 هرکه گوش شنوا دارد بشنود.»

مقصود مَثَل

(مرقس 10:4-12؛ لوقا 9:8-10)

10 پس از آن شاگردان نزد عیسی آمده از او پرسیدند: «چرا به صورت مَثَل برای آنها صحبت می‌کنی؟»
11 عیسی در جواب فرمود: «قدرت درک اسرار پادشاهی آسمان به شما عطا شده، امّا به آنها عطا نشده است. 12 زیرا به شخصی كه دارد بیشتر داده خواهد شد تا به اندازهٔ كافی و فراوان داشته باشد، و از آن‌کس كه ندارد، حتّی آنچه را هم كه دارد گرفته می‌شود. 13 بنابراین من برای آنان در قالب مثلها صحبت می‌کنم، زیرا آنان نگاه می‌کنند ولی نمی‌بینند و گوش می‌دهند ولی نمی‌شنوند و نمی‌فهمند.

14 پیشگویی اشعیاء دربارهٔ آنان تحقّق یافته است كه می‌گوید:
'پیوسته گوش می‌دهید ولی نمی‌فهمید،
پیوسته نگاه می‌کنید ولی نمی‌بینید؛

15 زیرا ذهن این مردم كند گشته،
گوشهایشان سنگین شده
و چشمانشان بسته است
وگرنه چشمانشان می‌دید
و گوشهایشان می‌شنید
و می‌فهمیدند و بازگشت می‌کردند
و من آنان را شفا می‌دادم.'
16 «امّا خوشا به حال شما كه چشمانتان می‌بیند و گوشهایتان می‌شنود.

17 بدانید كه انبیا و نیكمردان بسیاری آرزو داشتند كه آنچه را شما اكنون می‌‌بینید، ببینند و ندیدند و آنچه را شما می‌شنوید، بشنوند و نشنیدند.

تفسیر مَثَل برزگر

(مرقس 13:4-20؛ لوقا 11:8-15)

18 «پس معنی مَثَل برزگر را بشنوید: 19 وقتی شخص مژدهٔ پادشاهی خدا را می‌شنود ولی آن را نمی‌فهمد، شیطان می‌آید و آنچه را كه در دل او كاشته شده، می‌رباید. این بذری است كه در وسط راه افتاده بود. 20 دانه‌ای كه در سنگلاخ می‌افتد، مانند کسی است كه تا پیام را می‌شنود، با شادی می‌پذیرد. 21 ولی در او ریشه نمی‌گیرد و دوام نمی‌آورد. پس وقتی به سبب آن مژده زحمت و آزاری به او برسد فوراً دلسرد می‌شود. 22 دانه‌ای كه به داخل خارها افتاد مانند کسی است كه پیام را می‌شنود، امّا نگرانی‌های زندگی و عشق به مال دنیا، آن پیام را خفه می‌کند و ثمر نمی‌آورد

23 و دانهٔ كاشته شده در زمین خوب به کسی می‌ماند، كه پیام را می‌شنود و آن را می‌فهمد و صد یا شصت و یا سی برابر ثمر به بار می‌آورد.»

مَثَل تلخه‌‌ها

24 پس از آن عیسی مَثَل دیگری نیز برای آنان آورده گفت: «پادشاهی آسمان مانند این است كه شخصی در مزرعهٔ خود بذر خوب كاشت 25 امّا وقتی همه در خواب بودند دشمن او آمده در میان گندم تلخه پاشید و رفت. 26 هنگامی‌که دانه‌ها سبز شدند و شروع به رشد و نمو كردند، تلخه‌ها نیز در میان آنها پیدا شد. 27 دهقانان نزد ارباب خود آمده گفتند: 'ای آقا، مگر بذری كه تو در مزرعه خود كاشتی خوب نبود؟ پس این تلخه‌ها از كجا آمده‌اند؟' 28 او در جواب گفت: 'این كار، كار دشمن است.' دهقانان به او گفتند: 'پس اجازه می‌دهی ما برویم و تلخه‌ها را جمع كنیم؟' 29 او گفت: 'خیر، چون ممكن است در موقع جمع كردن آنها گندمها را نیز از ریشه بكنید.

30 بگذارید تا موسم دِرو هردوی آنها با هم رشد كنند، در آن وقت به دروگران خواهم گفت كه تلخه‌ها را جمع كنند و آنها را برای سوخت ببندند و گندم را نیز جمع كرده در انبار من ذخیره كنند.'»

مَثَل دانه خردل

(مرقس 30:4-32؛ لوقا 18:13-19)

31 عیسی یک مَثَل دیگری نیز برای آنان آورده گفت: «پادشاهی آسمان مانند دانهٔ خَردَلی است كه شخصی آن را می‌گیرد و در مزرعهٔ خود می‌کارَد.

32 دانهٔ خردل كه كوچكترین دانه‌هاست، پس از آنكه رشد و نمو كند از بوته‌های دیگر بزرگتر شده به اندازهٔ یک درخت می‌شود و آن‌قدر بزرگ است كه پرندگان می‌آیند و در میان شاخه‌هایش آشیانه می‌سازند.»

مَثَل خمیرمایه

(لوقا 20:13-21)

33 عیسی برای آنان مَثَل دیگری آورده گفت: «پادشاهی آسمان مانند خمیرمایه‌ای است كه زنی بر می‌دارد و با سه پیمانه آرد مخلوط می‌کند تا تمام خمیر وَر بیاید.»

تعلیم با مَثَل

(مرقس 33:4-34)

34 عیسی تمام این مطالب را برای جمعیّت با مَثَل بیان می‌کرد و بدون مَثَل چیزی به آنها نمی‌گفت

35 تا پیشگویی نبی تحقّق یابد كه فرموده است:
«من دهان خود را خواهم گشود و با مثلها سخن خواهم گفت
و چیزهایی را بیان خواهم نمود كه از بَدو خلقت عالم پوشیده مانده است.»

تفسیر مَثَل تلخه‌‌ها

36 پس از آن عیسی مردم را مرخّص كرد و خودش نیز به منزل رفت، شاگردان عیسی نزد او آمده گفتند: «معنی مَثَل تلخه‌های مزرعه را برای ما شرح بده.»
37 عیسی در جواب گفت: «کسی‌که بذر نیكو می‌کارد، پسر انسان است. 38 مزرعه، این جهان است و بذر نیكو تابعین پادشاهی خدا هستند و تخمهای تلخه پیروان شیطان می‌باشند. 39 آن دشمنی كه تخمهای تلخه را كاشت، ابلیس است و موسم دِرو، آخر زمان می‌باشد و دروگران فرشتگان هستند. 40 همان طوری که دروگران تلخه را جمع می‌کنند و می‌سوزانند در آخر زمان هم همین‌طور خواهد شد. 41 پسر انسان فرشتگان خود را خواهد فرستاد و آنها هرکسی را كه در پادشاهی او باعث لغزش شود و همچنین همهٔ بدكاران را جمع می‌کنند 42 و در کوره‌ای مشتعل خواهند افكند، جایی‌که اشک می‌ریزند و دندان بر دندان می‌فشارند.

43 در آن زمان نیكان در پادشاهی پدر خود مانند خورشید خواهند درخشید. هرکه گوش شنوا دارد بشنود.

مَثَل گنج پنهان شده

44 «پادشاهی آسمان مانند گنجی است كه در مزرعه‌ای پنهان شده باشد و شخصی تصادفاً آن را پیدا كند. او دوباره آن را پنهان می‌کند و از خوشحالی می‌رود، تمام اموال خود را می‌فروشد و برگشته آن مزرعه را می‌خرد.

مَثَل مروارید

45 «پادشاهی آسمان همچنین مانند بازرگانی است كه در جستجوی مرواریدهای زیبا بود.

46 وقتی‌که مروارید بسیار گرانبهایی پیدا كرد، رفته تمام دارایی خود را فروخت و آن را خرید.

مَثَل تور ماهیگیری

47 «و نیز پادشاهی آسمان مانند توری است كه ماهیگیری آن را در دریا انداخت و از انواع ماهیان مختلف صید نمود. 48 وقتی‌که تور از ماهی پر شد، ماهیگیران آن را به ساحل كشیدند و آن وقت نشسته ماهیان خوب را در زنبیل جمع كردند و ماهیان بی‌مصرف را دور ریختند. 49 در آخر زمان نیز چنین خواهد بود. فرشتگان می‌آیند و بدكاران را از میان نیكان جدا ساخته،

50 آنها را در کوره‌ای مشتعل می‌اندازند، جایی‌که گریه و دندان بر دندان فشردن وجود دارد.»

حقایق تازه و كهنه

51 عیسی از آنها پرسید: «آیا همهٔ این چیزها را فهمیدید؟» شاگردان پاسخ دادند: «آری»

52 عیسی به آنان فرمود: «پس هرگاه یک معلّم شریعت، در مكتب پادشاهی آسمان تعلیم بگیرد، مانند صاحب خانه‌ای است كه از گنجینهٔ خود چیزهای تازه و كهنه بیرون می‌آورد.»

ناصره عیسی را نمی‌پذیرد

(مرقس 1:6-6؛ لوقا 16:4-30)

53 وقتی عیسی این مثلها را به پایان رسانید، آنجا را ترک كرد 54 و به شهر خود آمد و در كنیسه آنجا طوری به مردم تعلیم داد كه همه با تعجّب می‌پرسیدند: «این مرد از كجا این حكمت و قدرت انجام معجزات را به دست آورده است؟ 55 مگر او پسر یک نجّار نیست؟ مگر نام مادرش مریم نمی‌باشد؟ آیا یعقوب و یوسف و شمعون و یهودا برادران او نیستند؟ 56 و مگر همهٔ خواهران او در اینجا با ما نمی‌باشند؟ پس او همهٔ این چیزها را از كجا كسب كرده است؟»

57 پس آنها او را رد كردند.
عیسی به آنها گفت: «یک نبی در همه‌جا مورد احترام است، جز در وطن خود و در میان خانوادهٔ خویش.» 58 عیسی به علّت بی‌ایمانی آنها معجزات زیادی در آنجا به عمل نیاورد.

MATTHEW 13

A Story about a Farmer

(Mark 4.1-9; Luke 8.4-8)

1 That same day Jesus left the house and went out beside Lake Galilee, where he sat down to teach.t 2 t Such large crowds gathered around him that he had to sit in a boat, while the people stood on the shore.

3 Then he taught them many things by using stories. He said:
A farmer went out to scatter seed in a field. 4 While the farmer was scattering the seed, some of it fell along the road and was eaten by birds. 5 Other seeds fell on thin, rocky ground and quickly started growing because the soil wasn't very deep. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched and dried up, because they did not have deep roots. 7 Some other seeds fell where thornbushes grew up and choked the plants. 8 But a few seeds did fall on good ground where the plants produced 100 or 60 or 30 times as much as was scattered.

9 If you have ears, pay attention!

Why Jesus Used Stories

(Mark 4.10-12; Luke 8.9,10)

10 Jesus' disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you use stories to speak to the people?”

11 Jesus answered:
I have explained the secrets about the kingdom of heaven to you, but not to others. 12 t Everyone who has something will be given more. But people who don't have anything will lose even what little they have. 13 I use stories when I speak to them because when they look, they cannot see, and when they listen, they cannot hear or understand.

14 t So God's promise came true, just as the prophet Isaiah had said,
“These people will listen
and listen,
but never understand.
They will look and look,
but never see.

15 All of them have
stubborn minds!
They refuse to listen;
they cover their eyes.
They cannot see or hear
or understand.
If they could,
they would turn to me,
and I would heal them.”
16  t But God has blessed you, because your eyes can see and your ears can hear!

17 Many prophets and good people were eager to see what you see and to hear what you hear. But I tell you they did not see or hear.

Jesus Explains the Story //about the Farmer

(Mark 4.13-20; Luke 8.11-15)

18 Now listen to the meaning of the story about the farmer:
19 The seeds that fell along the road are the people who hear the message about the kingdom, but don't understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches the message from their hearts. 20 The seeds that fell on rocky ground are the people who gladly hear the message and accept it at once.

21 But they don't have deep roots, and they don't last very long. As soon as life gets hard or the message gets them in trouble, they give up.
22 The seeds that fell among the thornbushes are also people who hear the message. But they start worrying about the needs of this life and are fooled by the desire to get rich. So the message gets choked out, and they never produce anything.

23 The seeds that fell on good ground are the people who hear and understand the message. They produce as much as 100 or 60 or 30 times what was planted.

Weeds among the Wheat

24 Jesus then told them this story:
The kingdom of heaven is like what happened when a farmer scattered good seed in a field.

25 But while everyone was sleeping, an enemy came and scattered weed seeds in the field and then left.
26 When the plants came up and began to mature, the farmer's servants could see the weeds.

27 The servants came and asked, “Sir, didn't you scatter good seed in your field? Where did these weeds come from?”

28 “An enemy did this,” he replied.
His servants then asked, “Do you want us to go out and pull up the weeds?”
29 “No!” he answered. “You might also pull up the wheat.

30 Leave the weeds alone until harvest time. Then I'll tell my workers to gather the weeds and tie them up and burn them. But I'll order them to store the wheat in my barn.”

Stories about a Mustard Seed //and Yeast

(Mark 4.30-32; Luke 13.18-21)

31 Jesus told them another story:
The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when a farmer plants a mustard seed in a field.

32 Although it is the smallest of all seeds, it grows larger than any garden plant and becomes a tree. Birds even come and nest on its branches.

33 Jesus also said:
The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when a woman mixes a little yeast into three big batches of flour. Finally, all the dough rises.

The Reason for Teaching //with Stories

(Mark 4.33,34)

34 Jesus used stories when he spoke to the people. In fact, he did not tell them anything without using stories.

35 t So God's promise came true, just as the prophett had said,
“I will use stories
to speak my message
and to explain things hidden
since the creation
of the world.”

Jesus Explains the Story //about the Weeds

36 After Jesus left the crowd and went inside, t his disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the story about the weeds in the wheat field.”

37 Jesus answered:
The one who scattered the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seeds are the people who belong to the kingdom. The weeds are those who belong to the evil one,

39 and the one who scattered them is the devil. The harvest is the end of time, and angels are the ones who bring in the harvest.
40 Weeds are gathered and burned. That's how it will be at the end of time. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everyone who does wrong or causes others to sin. 42 Then he will throw them into a flaming furnace, where people will cry and grit their teeth in pain.

43 t But everyone who has done right will shine like the sun in their Father's kingdom. If you have ears, pay attention!

A Hidden Treasure

44 The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when someone finds a treasure hidden in a field and buries it again. Such a person is happy and goes and sells everything in order to buy that field.

A Valuable Pearl

45 The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when a shop owner is looking for fine pearls.

46 After finding a very valuable one, the owner goes and sells everything in order to buy that pearl.

A Fish Net

47 The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when a net is thrown into a lake and catches all kinds of fish. 48 When the net is full, it is dragged to the shore, and the fishermen sit down to separate the fish. They keep the good ones, but throw the bad ones away. 49 That's how it will be at the end of time. Angels will come and separate the evil people from the ones who have done right.

50 Then those evil people will be thrown into a flaming furnace, where they will cry and grit their teeth in pain.

New and Old Treasures

51 Jesus asked his disciples if they understood all these things. They said, “Yes, we do.”

52 So he told them, “Every student of the Scriptures who becomes a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like someone who brings out new and old treasures from the storeroom.”

The People of Nazareth Turn //against Jesus

(Mark 6.1-6; Luke 4.16-30)

53 When Jesus had finished telling these stories, he left 54 and went to his hometown. He taught in their synagogue, and the people were so amazed that they asked, “Where does he get all this wisdom and the power to work these miracles? 55 Isn't he the son of the carpenter? Isn't Mary his mother, and aren't James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas his brothers? 56 Don't his sisters still live here in our town? How can he do all this?”

57 t So the people were upset because of what he was doing.
But Jesus said, “Prophets are honored by everyone, except the people of their hometown and their own family.” 58 And because the people did not have any faith, Jesus did not work many miracles there.
