Jesús en Judea

1 Cuando Jesús terminó estas palabras, partió de Galilea y se fue a la región de Judea, al otro lado del Jordán;

2 y grandes multitudes siguieron a Jesús, y los sanó allí.

Enseñanza de Jesús sobre el Divorcio

3 Y se acercaron a El algunos Fariseos para ponerlo a prueba, diciendo: "¿Le está permitido a un hombre divorciarse de su mujer por cualquier motivo?"4 Jesús les respondió: "¿No han leído que Aquél que los creó, desde el principio los hizo varon y hembra,5 y dijo: 'Por esta razon el hombre dejara a su padre y a su madre y se unira a su mujer, y los dos seran una sola carne'?

6 Así que ya no son dos, sino una sola carne. Por tanto, lo que Dios ha unido, ningún hombre lo separe."
7 Ellos Le dijeron: "Entonces, ¿por qué mandó Moisés darle carta de divorcio y repudiarla?"8 El les contestó: "Por la dureza de su corazón Moisés les permitió a ustedes divorciarse de sus mujeres; pero no ha sido así desde el principio.9 Pero Yo les digo que cualquiera que se divorcie de su mujer, salvo por infidelidad, y se case con otra, comete adulterio."10 Los discípulos Le dijeron: "Si así es la relación del hombre con su mujer, no conviene casarse."11 Jesús les dijo: "No todos pueden aceptar este precepto, sino sólo aquéllos a quienes les ha sido dado.

12 Porque hay eunucos que nacieron así desde el seno de su madre, y hay eunucos que fueron hechos eunucos por los hombres, y también hay eunucos que a sí mismos se hicieron eunucos por causa del reino de los cielos. El que pueda aceptar esto, que lo acepte."

Jesús Bendice a los Niños

13 Entonces trajeron algunos niños a Jesús para que pusiera las manos sobre ellos y orara; y los discípulos los reprendieron.14 Pero Jesús dijo: "Dejen a los niños, y no les impidan que vengan a Mí, porque de los que son como éstos es el reino de los cielos."

15 Y después de poner El las manos sobre ellos, se fue de allí.

El Joven Rico

16 Y un hombre se acercó a Jesús y Le dijo: "Maestro, ¿qué cosa buena haré para obtener la vida eterna?"17 Jesús le respondió: "¿Por qué Me preguntas acerca de lo que es bueno? Sólo Uno es bueno; pero si deseas entrar en la vida, guarda los mandamientos."18 "¿Cuáles?" preguntó el hombre. Y Jesús respondió: "No mataras; no cometeras adulterio; no hurtaras; no daras falso testimonio;

19 honra a tu padre y a tu madre; y amaras a tu projimo como a ti mismo."
20 El joven dijo: "Todo esto lo he guardado; ¿qué me falta todavía?"21 Jesús le respondió: "Si quieres ser perfecto, ve y vende lo que posees y da a los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en los cielos; y ven, sé Mi discípulo."

22 Pero al oír el joven estas palabras, se fue triste, porque era dueño de muchos bienes.

Peligro de las Riquezas

23 Jesús dijo entonces a Sus discípulos: "En verdad les digo que es difícil que un rico entre en el reino de los cielos.24 Otra vez les digo que es más fácil para un camello pasar por el ojo de una aguja, que para un rico entrar en el reino de Dios."25 Al oír esto, los discípulos estaban llenos de asombro, y decían: "Entonces, ¿quién podrá salvarse?"

26 Jesús, mirándo los, les dijo: "Para los hombres eso es imposible, pero para Dios todo es posible."
27 Entonces Pedro Le respondió: "Mira, nosotros lo hemos dejado todo y Te hemos seguido; ¿qué, pues, recibiremos?"28 Jesús les dijo: "En verdad les digo que ustedes que Me han seguido, en la regeneración, cuando el Hijo del Hombre se siente en el trono de Su gloria, ustedes se sentarán también sobre doce tronos para juzgar a las doce tribus de Israel.29 Y todo el que haya dejado casas, o hermanos, o hermanas, o padre, o madre, o hijos o tierras por Mi nombre, recibirá cien veces más, y heredará la vida eterna.30 Pero muchos primeros serán últimos, y los últimos, primeros.

Matthew 19

1 And it came to pass when Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judaea beyond the Jordan;2 and great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

3 And there came unto him Pharisees, trying him, and saying, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?4 And he answered and said, Have ye not read, that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,5 and said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?6 So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.7 They say unto him, Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorcement, and to put her away?8 He saith unto them, Moses for your hardness of heart suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it hath not been so.9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth her when she is put away committeth adultery.10 The disciples say unto him, If the case of the man is so with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.11 But he said unto them, Not all men can receive this saying, but they to whom it is given.12 For there are eunuchs, that were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are eunuchs, that were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, that made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should lay his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.14 But Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for to such belongeth the kingdom of heaven.15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

16 And behold, one came to him and said, Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?17 And he said unto him, Why askest thou me concerning that which is good? One there is who is good: but if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments.18 He saith unto him, Which? And Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,19 Honor thy father and mother; and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I observed: what lack I yet?21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell that which thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.22 But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sorrowful; for he was one that had great possessions.

23 And Jesus said unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, It is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.25 And when the disciples heard it, they were astonished exceedingly, saying, Who then can be saved?26 And Jesus looking upon them said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee; what then shall we have?28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.29 And every one that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life.30 But many shall be last that are first; and first that are last.
