婚筵的比喻

1 耶稣又用比喻对他们说：2 “天国好像一个王，为儿子摆设婚筵。3 他派仆人去叫被邀请的人来参加婚筵。但他们不肯来。4 他再派另一些仆人去，说：‘你们告诉被邀请的人，我已经预备好了筵席，公牛和肥畜已经宰了，一切都预备妥当。来参加婚筵吧！’5 但那些人却不理会就走了；有的去耕田，有的去作买卖，6 其余的抓住王的仆人，凌辱他们，并且把他们杀了。7 王就发怒，派兵消灭那些兇手，焚毁他们的城。8 然后对仆人说：‘婚筵已经预备好了，只是被邀请的人不配。9 所以你们要到大路口，凡遇见的，都请来参加婚筵。’10 “那些仆人就走到街上，把所有遇见的，不论好人坏人，都招聚了来，婚筵上就坐满了人。11 王进来与赴筵的人见面，看见有一个人没有穿着婚筵的礼服，12 就对他说：‘朋友，你没有婚筵的礼服，怎能进到这里来呢？’他就无话可说。13 于是王对侍从说：‘把他的手和脚都绑起来，丢到外面的黑暗里，在那里必要哀哭切齿。’14 因为被召的人多，选上的人少。”
以纳税的事问难耶稣15 法利赛人就去商量，怎样找耶稣的话柄来陷害他。16 他们派了自己的门徒和希律党的人一同去问耶稣：“老师，我们知道你为人诚实，照着真理把 神的道教导人，不顾忌任何人，因为你不徇情面。17 请把你的意见告诉我们，纳税给凯撒，可不可以呢？”18 耶稣看出他们的恶意，就说：“虚伪的人，为甚么试探我呢？19 拿纳税的钱币给我看看。”他们就拿了一个银币给他。20 耶稣问他们：“这是谁的像，谁的名号？”21 他们回答：“凯撒的。”他就对他们说：“凯撒的应当归给凯撒， 神的应当归给 神。”22 他们听了，十分惊奇，就离开他走了。
人复活后不娶不嫁23 撒都该人向来认为没有复活的事。那一天，他们前来问耶稣：24 “老师，摩西说：‘如果一个人死了，没有儿女，他的弟弟应该娶他的妻子，为哥哥立后。’25 从前我们这里有兄弟七人，头一个结了婚，没有孩子就死了，留下妻子给他的弟弟。26 第二个、第三个直到第七个都是这样。27 最后，那女人也死了。28 那么，复活的时候，她是这七个人中哪一个的妻子呢？因为他们都娶过她。”29 耶稣回答他们：“你们错了，因为你们不明白圣经，也不晓得 神的能力。30 复活的时候，人们也不娶也不嫁，而是像天上的使者一样。31-32 关于死人复活的事， 神对你们讲过：‘我是亚伯拉罕的 神，以撒的 神，雅各的 神’，你们没有念过吗？ 神不是死人的 神，而是活人的 神。”33 群众听了他的教训，就十分诧异。
最重要的诫命34 法利赛人听见耶稣使撒都该人无话可说，就聚集在一起。35 他们中间有一个律法家，试探耶稣说：36 “老师，律法中哪一条诫命是最重要的呢？”37 他回答：“你要全心、全性、全意爱主你的 神。38 这是最重要的第一条诫命。39 第二条也和它相似，就是要爱人如己。40 全部律法和先知书，都以这两条诫命作为根据。”
基督是大卫的子孙41 法利赛人聚在一起的时候，耶稣问他们：42 “你们对基督的看法怎样？他是谁的子孙呢？”他们回答：“大卫的子孙。”43 耶稣就说：“那么大卫被圣灵感动，怎么会称他为主呢？他说：44 ‘主对我的主说：
你坐在我的右边，
等我把你的仇敌放在你的脚下。’45 “大卫既然称他为主，他怎么又是大卫的子孙呢？”46 没有人能够回答他。从那天起，也没有人敢再问他。

Matthew 22

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet

1 Jesus spoket to them again in parables, saying:2 “The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.3 He sent his slavest to summon those who had been invited to the banquet, but they would not come.4 Again he sent other slaves, saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Look! The feast I have prepared for you is ready.t My oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.”’5 But they were indifferent and went away, one to his farm, another to his business.6 Thet rest seized his slaves, insolently mistreated them, and killed them.7 Thet king was furious! He sent his soldiers, and they put those murderers to deatht and set their cityt on fire.8 Then he said to his slaves, ‘The wedding is ready, but the ones who had been invited were not worthy.9 So go into the main streets and invite everyone you find to the wedding banquet.’10 And those slaves went out into the streets and gathered all they found, both bad and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.11 But when the king came in to see the wedding guests, he saw a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes.12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But he had nothing to say.t13 Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Tie him up hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!’

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Paying Taxes to Caesar

15 Then the Phariseess went out and planned together to entrap him with his own words.t16 They sent to him their disciples along with the Herodians,s saying, “Teacher, we know that you are truthful, and teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.s You do not court anyone’s favor because you show no partiality.t

17 Tell us then, what do you think? Is it rightt to pay taxests to Caesart or not?”
18 But Jesus realized their evil intentions and said, “Hypocrites! Why are you testing me?19 Show me the coin used for the tax.” Sot they brought him a denarius.ts20 Jesust said to them, “Whose imagets is this, and whose inscription?”21 They replied,t “Caesar’s.” He said to them,t “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”s

22 Now when they heard this they were stunned,t and they left him and went away.

Marriage and the Resurrection

23 The same day Sadduceess (who say there is no resurrection)s came to him and asked him,t24 “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and father childrentfor his brother.’s25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children he left his wife to his brother.26 The second did the same, and the third, down to the seventh.27 Lastt of all, the woman died.28 In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.”t29 Jesust answered them, “You are deceived,t because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angelsss in heaven.31 Now as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God,t32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?s He is not the God of the dead but of the living!”s

33 When the crowds heard this, they were amazed at his teaching.

The Greatest Commandment

34 Now when the Phariseess heard that he had silenced the Sadducees,s they assembled together.t35 And one of them, an expert in religious law,t asked him a question to testt him:36 “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”t37 Jesust said to him, “‘Lovetthe Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’s38 This is the first and greatestt commandment.39 The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’s

40 All the law and the prophets dependt on these two commandments.”

The Messiah: David’s Son and Lord

41 Whilet the Phariseess were assembled, Jesus asked them a question:t42 “What do you think about the Christ?ts Whose son is he?” They said, “The son of David.”s

43 He said to them, “How then does David by the Spirit call him ‘Lord,’ saying,

44 ‘The Lord said to my lord,s
“Sit at my right hand,
until I put your enemies under your feet”’?s
45 If David then calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”t

46 No onet was able to answer him a word, and from that day on no one dared to question him any longer.
