متی 22

1 و عیسی توجه نموده، باز به مثلها ایشان را خطاب کرده، گفت:2 «ملکوت آسمان پادشاهی را ماند که برای پسر خویش عروسی کرد.3 و غلامان خود را فرستاد تا دعوتشدگان را به عروسی بخوانند و نخواستند بیایند.4 باز غلامان دیگر روانه نموده، فرمود: "دعوتشدگان را بگویید که اینک خوان خود را حاضر ساختهام و گاوان و پرواریهای من کشته شده و همهچیز آماده است، به عروسی بیایید."5 ولی ایشان بیاعتنایی نموده، راه خود را گرفتند، یکی به مزرعه خود و دیگری به تجارت خویش رفت.6 و دیگران غلامان او را گرفته، دشنام داده، کشتند.7 پادشاه چون شنید، غضب نموده، لشکریان خود را فرستاده، آن قاتلان را به قتل رسانید و شهر ایشان را بسوخت.8 آنگاه غلامان خود را فرمود: "عروسی حاضر است؛ لیکن دعوتشدگان لیاقت نداشتند.9 الان به شوارع عامه بروید و هرکه را بیابید به عروسی بطلبید."10 پس آن غلامان بهسر راهها رفته، نیک و بد هرکه را یافتند جمع کردند، چنانکه خانه عروسی ازمجلسیان مملو گشت.11 آنگاه پادشاه بجهت دیدن اهل مجلس داخل شده، شخصی را درآنجا دید که جامه عروسی در بر ندارد.12 بدوگفت: "ای عزیز چطور در اینجا آمدی و حال آنکه جامه عروسی در بر نداری؟" او خاموش شد.13 آنگاه پادشاه خادمان خود را فرمود: "این شخص را دست و پا بسته بردارید و در ظلمت خارجی اندازید، جایی که گریه و فشار دندان باشد."14 زیرا طلبیدگان بسیارند و برگزیدگان کم.»15 پس فریسیان رفته، شورا نمودند که چطوراو را در گفتگو گرفتار سازند.16 و شاگردان خودرا با هیرودیان نزد وی فرستاده، گفتند: «استادامی دانیم که صادق هستی و طریق خدا را به راستی تعلیم مینمایی و از کسی باک نداری زیراکه به ظاهر خلق نمی نگری.17 پس به ما بگو رای تو چیست. آیا جزیه دادن به قیصر رواست یا نه؟»18 عیسی شرارت ایشان را درک کرده، گفت: «ای ریاکاران، چرا مرا تجربه میکنید؟19 سکه جزیه را به من بنمایید.» ایشان دیناری نزد وی آوردند.20 بدیشان گفت: «این صورت و رقم از آن کیست؟»21 بدو گفتند: «از آن قیصر.» بدیشان گفت: «مال قیصر را به قیصر ادا کنید و مال خدا رابه خدا!»22 چون ایشان شنیدند، متعجب شدندو او را واگذارده، برفتند.23 و در همان روز، صدوقیان که منکر قیامت هستند نزد او آمده، سوال نموده،24 گفتند: «ای استاد، موسی گفت اگر کسی بیاولاد بمیرد، میباید برادرش زن او را نکاح کند تا نسلی برای برادر خود پیدا نماید.25 باری در میان ما هفت برادر بودند که اول زنی گرفته، بمرد و چون اولادی نداشت زن را به برادر خود ترک کرد.26 وهمچنین دومین و سومین تا هفتمین.27 و آخر ازهمه آن زن نیز مرد.28 پس او در قیامت، زن کدامیک از آن هفت خواهد بود زیرا که همه او راداشتند؟»29 عیسی در جواب ایشان گفت: «گمراه هستید از اینرو که کتاب و قوت خدا رادر نیافتهاید،30 زیرا که در قیامت، نه نکاح میکنند و نه نکاح کرده میشوند بلکه مثل ملائکه خدا در آسمان میباشند.31 اما درباره قیامت مردگان، آیا نخواندهاید کلامی را که خدا به شما گفته است،32 من هستم خدای ابراهیم و خدای اسحاق و خدای یعقوب؟ خدا، خدای مردگان نیست بلکه خدای زندگان است.»33 و آن گروه چون شنیدند، از تعلیم وی متحیر شدند.34 اما چون فریسیان شنیدند که صدوقیان را مجاب نموده است، با هم جمع شدند.35 و یکی از ایشان که فقیه بود، از وی به طریق امتحان سوال کرده، گفت:36 «ای استاد، کدام حکم در شریعت بزرگتر است؟»37 عیسی وی را گفت: «اینکه خداوند خدای خود را به همه دل و تمامی نفس و تمامی فکر خود محبت نما.38 این است حکم اول و اعظم.39 و دوم مثل آن است یعنی همسایه خود را مثل خود محبت نما.40 بدین دو حکم، تمام تورات و صحف انبیامتعلق است.»41 و چون فریسیان جمع بودند، عیسی ازایشان پرسیده،42 گفت: «درباره مسیح چه گمان میبرید؟ او پسر کیست؟» بدو گفتند: «پسر داود.»43 ایشان را گفت: «پس چطور داود در روح، او راخداوند میخواند؟ چنانکه میگوید:44 "خداوندبه خداوند من گفت، بهدست راست من بنشین تادشمانان تو را پای انداز تو سازم."45 پس هرگاه داود او را خداوند میخواند، چگونه پسرش میباشد؟»46 و هیچکس قدرت جواب وی هرگز نداشت و نه کسی از آن روز دیگرجرات سوال کردن از او نمود.

MATTHEW 22

The Great Banquet

(Luke 14.15-24)

1 Once again Jesus used stories to teach the people:
2 The kingdom of heaven is like what happened when a king gave a wedding banquet for his son. 3 The king sent some servants to tell the invited guests to come to the banquet, but the guests refused.

4 He sent other servants to say to the guests, “The banquet is ready! My cattle and prize calves have all been prepared. Everything is ready. Come to the banquet!”
5 But the guests did not pay any attention. Some of them left for their farms, and some went to their places of business.

6 Others grabbed the servants, then beat them up and killed them.
7 This made the king so furious that he sent an army to kill those murderers and burn down their city. 8 Then he said to the servants, “It is time for the wedding banquet, and the invited guests don't deserve to come. 9 Go out to the street corners and tell everyone you meet to come to the banquet.”

10 They went out on the streets and brought in everyone they could find, good and bad alike. And the banquet room was filled with guests.
11 When the king went in to meet the guests, he found that one of them wasn't wearing the right kind of clothes for the wedding. 12 The king asked, “Friend, why didn't you wear proper clothes for the wedding?” But the guest had no excuse. 13 t So the king gave orders for this person to be tied hand and foot and to be thrown outside into the dark. That's where people will cry and grit their teeth in pain.

14 t Many are invited, but only a few are chosen.

Paying Taxes

(Mark 12.13-17; Luke 20.20-26)

17 Tell us what you think! Should we pay taxes to the Emperor or not?”
18 Jesus knew their evil thoughts and said, “Why are you trying to test me? You show-offs! 19 Let me see one of the coins used for paying taxes.” They brought him a silver coin,

20 and he asked, “Whose picture and name are on it?”

21 “The Emperor's,” they answered.
Then Jesus told them, “Give the Emperor what belongs to him and give God what belongs to God.”

22 His answer surprised them so much that they walked away.

Life in the Future World

(Mark 12.18-27; Luke 20.27-40)

23  t The Sadducees did not believe people would rise to life after death. So that same day some of the Sadducees came to Jesus and said:

24  t Teacher, Moses wrote that if a married man dies and has no children, his brother should marry the widow. Their first son would then be thought of as the son of the dead brother.
25 Once there were seven brothers who lived here. The first one married, but died without having any children. So his wife was left to his brother. 26 The same thing happened to the second and third brothers and finally to all seven of them. 27 At last the woman died.

28 When God raises people from death, whose wife will this woman be? She had been married to all seven brothers.

29 Jesus answered:
You are completely wrong! You don't know what the Scriptures teach. And you don't know anything about the power of God. 30 t When God raises people to life, they won't marry. They will be like the angels in heaven. 31 And as for people being raised to life, God was speaking to you when he said,

32 t “I am the God worshiped by Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”t He isn't the God of the dead, but of the living.

33 The crowds were surprised to hear what Jesus was teaching.

The Most Important //Commandment

(Mark 12.28-34; Luke 10.25-28)

36 “Teacher, what is the most important commandment in the Law?”

37  t Jesus answered:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. 38 This is the first and most important commandment. 39 t The second most important commandment is like this one. And it is, “Love others as much as you love yourself.”

40 All the Law of Moses and the Books of the Prophetst are based on these two commandments.

About David's Son

(Mark 12.35-37; Luke 20.41-44)

42 “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose family will he come from?”
They answered, “He will be a son of King David.”t

43 Jesus replied, “How then could the Spirit lead David to call the Messiah his Lord? David said,

44  t ‘The Lord said to my Lord:
Sit at my right sidet
until I make your enemies
into a footstool for you.’
45 If David called the Messiah his Lord, how can the Messiah be a son of King David?” 46 No one was able to give Jesus an answer, and from that day on, no one dared ask him any more questions.
