马太福音 23
谴责宗教的伪善
1 那时，耶稣对众人和自己的门徒们说：2 “经文士和法利赛人坐在摩西的位子上，3 所以，他们所吩咐你们的，你们都要去做，也要遵守；但是不要效法他们的行为，因为他们说而不做。4 他们把沉重难挑的t担子捆起来，放在人们肩上，但自己却连一根指头也不肯动它们一下。5 他们所做的一切事，都是为了给人看：他们把自己的经文盒加宽，把衣服的t穗子加长；6 他们喜爱宴席中的上座和会堂里的首位，7 喜爱街市上的致敬问候，又喜爱被人们称为‘老师t’。
8 “但你们不可被称为‘老师t’，因为你们的老师只有一位，t而你们都是弟兄。9 不要称地上的任何人为‘父’，因为你们的父只有一位，就是天父。10 你们也不要被人称为‘主人’，因为你们的主人只有一位，就是基督。11 你们当中谁更大，谁就该做你们的仆人，12 因为凡是自我高举的都会被降卑，而自我降卑的都会被高举。
13 “经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们在人的面前封闭了天国。你们自己不进去，也不让正要进的人进去。
14 “经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们侵吞寡妇的家产，又假意做很长的祷告。因此，你们将受到更重的惩罚。t
15 “经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们为了使一个人入教，走遍海洋和陆地，一旦那人成了教徒t，你们就使他成为比你们加倍坏的地狱之子。
16 “你们这些瞎眼的领路人有祸了！你们说：‘如果有人指着圣所起誓，算不得什么；但如果有人指着圣所里的金子起誓，就必须遵守。’17 你们这些又愚拙又瞎眼的人哪，到底哪一样更重要呢？是金子，还是使金子成圣的圣所呢？18 你们还说：‘如果有人指着祭坛起誓，算不得什么；但如果有人指着祭坛上的祭物起誓，就必须遵守。’19 你们这些t瞎眼的人哪，到底哪一样更重要呢？是祭物，还是使祭物成圣的祭坛呢？20 所以，指着祭坛起誓的，就是指着祭坛和祭坛上的一切起誓；21 指着圣所起誓的，就是指着圣所和住在里面的那一位起誓；22 指着天起誓的，就是指着神的宝座和坐在宝座上的那一位起誓。
23 “经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们奉献薄荷、莳萝、香芹的十分之一，却放弃了律法上更重要的：就是公义、怜悯、信实。这些才是你们应该做的，至于前者也不可放弃。24 你们这些瞎眼的领路人哪，你们滤掉蠓虫，却吞下骆驼！
25 “经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯子、盘子的外面，里面却盛满了贪心和放纵。26 你这瞎眼的法利赛人哪！当先洗净杯子t的里面，好使外面也洁净。
27 “经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们好像粉饰的坟墓，外面固然显得美丽，里面却装满了死人骨头和一切污秽。28 你们也是这样，你们外面对人显出公义，里面却充满了伪善和罪恶t。
29 “经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们建造先知的坟墓，装饰义人的墓碑，30 说：‘如果我们活在我们祖先的时代，我们就不会与他们合伙流先知们的血。’31 这样，你们就见证了自己是杀害先知们的那些人的后代。32 你们去充满你们祖先的恶贯吧！
33 “你们这些蛇类，这些毒蛇的子孙！你们怎么能逃避地狱的惩罚呢？34 看，我为此差派先知、智者、经师到你们这里来；有些你们要杀害、要钉上十字架，有些要在会堂里鞭打，从一个城追逼到另一个城。35 所以，从义人亚伯的血起，直到你们在圣所和祭坛之间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止，在地上所流的义人的血都要归在你们身上。36 我确实地告诉你们：这一切都要临到这世代。
为耶路撒冷哀叹
37 “耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷！这城杀害先知们，又用石头砸死被差到她这里的人！我多次想聚集你的儿女，像母鸡把自己的小鸡聚集在翅膀下，可是你们不愿意！38 看哪，你们的家t要被废弃成为荒场。39 我告诉你们：今后你们绝不会再见到我了，直到你们说：‘奉主名而来的那一位，是蒙祝福的。’t”
Matthew 23
Seven Woes
1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples,2 “Thet experts in the lawt and the Phariseess sit on Moses’ seat.3 Therefore pay attention to what they tell you and do it. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they teach.t4 Theyt tie up heavy loads, hard to carry, and put them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing even to lift a finger to move them.5 Theyt do all their deeds to be seen by people, for they make their phylacteriess wide and their tasselsts long.6 Theyt love the place of honor at banquets and the best seats in the synagoguess7 and elaborate greetingss in the marketplaces, and to have people call them ‘Rabbi.’8 But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.9 And call no one your ‘father’ on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.10 Nor are you to be called ‘teacher,’ for you have one teacher, the Christ.ts11 Thet greatest among you will be your servant.
12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
13 “But woe to you, experts in the lawt and you Pharisees, hypocrites!t You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven!t For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in.ss
15 “Woe to you, experts in the lawt and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You cross land and sea to make one convert,t and when you get one,t you make him twice as much a child of hellts as yourselves!
16 “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple is bound by nothing.t But whoever swears by the gold of the temple is bound by the oath.’17 Blind fools! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred?18 And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar is bound by nothing.t But if anyone swears by the gift on it he is bound by the oath.’19 You are blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?20 So whoever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.21 And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and the one who dwells in it.
22 And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and the one who sits on it.
23 “Woe to you, experts in the lawt and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You give a tentht of mint, dill, and cumin,s yet you neglect what is more important in the law – justice, mercy, and faithfulness! Yous should have done these things without neglecting the others.
24 Blind guides! You strain out a gnat yet swallow a camel!t
25 “Woe to you, experts in the lawt and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup,s so that the outside may become clean too!
27 “Woe to you, experts in the lawt and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of the bones of the dead and of everything unclean.s
28 In the same way, on the outside you look righteous to people, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
29 “Woe to you, experts in the lawt and you Pharisees, hypocrites! Yout build tombs for the prophets and decorate the gravest of the righteous.30 And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors,t we would not have participated with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’31 By saying this you testify against yourselves that you are descendants of those who murdered the prophets.32 Fill up then the measure of your ancestors!
33 You snakes, you offspring of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?ts
34 “For this reason It am sending you prophets and wise men and experts in the law,t some of whom you will kill and crucify,s and some you will flogt in your synagoguess and pursue from town to town,35 so that on you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah,s whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
36 I tell you the truth,t this generation will be held responsible for all these things!t
Judgment on Israel
37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,ss you who kill the prophets and stone those who are sent to you!t How often I have longeds to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, butt you would have none of it!t38 Look, your house is left to you desolate!
39 For I tell you, you will not see me from now until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”s
