马太福音 23

谴责文士和法利赛人

（可12．38－40；路11．37－52；20．45－47）

1 那时，耶稣对众人和门徒讲论， 2 说：“文士和法利赛人坐在摩西的位上， 3 所以凡他们所吩咐你们的，你们都要谨守遵行。但不要效法他们的行为，因为他们能说不能行。 4 他们把难挑的t重担捆起来，搁在人的肩上，但自己一个指头也不肯动。 5 他们所做的一切事都是要让人看见，所以把佩戴的经匣t加宽了，衣裳的繸子加长了， 6 喜爱宴席上的首座、会堂里的高位， 7 又喜欢人们在街市上向他们问安，称呼他们拉比t。 8 但你们不要接受拉比的称呼，因为只有一位是你们的老师；你们都是弟兄。 9 也不要称呼地上的人为父，因为只有一位是你们的父，就是在天上的父。 10 不要接受师傅的称呼，因为只有一位是你们的师傅，就是基督。 11 你们中间谁为大，谁就要作你们的用人。 12 凡自高的，必降为卑；自甘卑微的，必升为高。

13 “你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们当着人的面把天国的门关了，自己不进去，要进去的人，你们也不容他们进去。t

15 “你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们走遍海洋陆地，说服一个人入教，既入了教，却使他成为比你们加倍坏的地狱之子。

16 “你们这瞎眼的向导有祸了！你们说：‘凡指着圣所起誓的算不得什么；但是凡指着圣所中的金子起誓的，他就该谨守。’ 17 你们这无知的瞎子啊，哪个更大呢？是金子，还是使金子成圣的圣所呢？ 18 你们又说：‘凡指着祭坛起誓的算不得什么；但是凡指着坛上祭物起誓的，他就该谨守。’ 19 你们这些瞎子啊，哪个更大呢？是祭物，还是使祭物成圣的坛呢？ 20 所以，人指着祭坛起誓，就是指着坛和坛上一切所有的起誓； 21 人指着圣所起誓，就是指着圣所和那住在圣所里的起誓； 22 人指着天起誓，就是指着上帝的宝座和那坐在上面的起誓。

23 “你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们将薄荷、大茴香、小茴香献上十分之一，那律法上更重要的事，就是公义、怜悯、信实，你们反倒不做；这原是你们该做的－至于那些奉献也不可废弃。 24 你们这瞎眼的向导，蠓虫你们就滤出来，骆驼你们倒吞下去。

25 “你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯盘的外面，里面却满了贪婪和放荡。 26 你这瞎眼的法利赛人，先洗净杯子t的里面，好使外面也干净了。

27 “你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们好像粉饰了的坟墓，外面好看，里面却满了死人的骨头和一切的污秽。 28 你们也是如此，外面对人显出公义，里面却满了虚伪和不法的事。

29 “你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们建造先知的坟，装修义人的墓， 30 说：‘若是我们在先祖的时代，必不和他们一同流先知的血。’ 31 这样，你们就证明自己是杀害先知的人的子孙了。 32 你们去充满你们祖宗的恶贯吧！ 33 你们这些蛇啊，毒蛇的孽种啊，怎能逃脱地狱的惩罚呢？ 34 所以，我差遣先知、智慧人和文士到你们这里来，有的你们要杀害，要钉十字架；有的你们要在会堂里鞭打，从这城追逼到那城， 35 如此，地上所有义人流的血都归到你们身上，从义人亚伯的血起，直到你们在圣所和祭坛中间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止。 36 我实在告诉你们，这一切的罪都要归到这世代了。”

为耶路撒冷哀哭

（路13．34－35）

37 “耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多少次想聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，但是你们不愿意。 38 看吧，你们的家要被废弃成为荒芜。 39 我告诉你们，从今以后，你们绝不会再见到我，直到你们说：‘奉主名来的是应当称颂的！’”

MATTHEW 23

Jesus Condemns the Pharisees //and the Teachers of //the Law of Moses

(Mark 12.38-40; Luke 11.37-52; 20.45-47)

1 Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
2 The Pharisees and the teachers of the Law are experts in the Law of Moses.

3 So obey everything they teach you, but don't do as they do. After all, they say one thing and do something else.
4 They pile heavy burdens on people's shoulders and won't lift a finger to help. 5 t Everything they do is just to show off in front of others. They even make a big show of wearing Scripture verses on their foreheads and arms, and they wear big tasselst for everyone to see. 6 They love the best seats at banquets and the front seats in the synagogues.

7 And when they are in the market, they like to have people greet them as their teachers.
8 But none of you should be called a teacher. You have only one teacher, and all of you are like brothers and sisters. 9 Don't call anyone on earth your father. All of you have the same Father in heaven. 10 None of you should be called the leader. The Messiah is your only leader. 11 t Whoever is the greatest should be the servant of the others.

12 t If you put yourself above others, you will be put down. But if you humble yourself, you will be honored.

13-14 You Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses are in for trouble! You're nothing but show-offs. You lock people out of the kingdom of heaven. You won't go in yourselves, and you keep others from going in.t

15 You Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses are in for trouble! You're nothing but show-offs. You travel over land and sea to win one follower. And when you have done so, you make that person twice as fit for hell as you are.
16 You are in for trouble! You are supposed to lead others, but you are blind. You teach that it doesn't matter if a person swears by the temple. But you say it does matter if someone swears by the gold in the temple.

17 You blind fools! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred?
18 You also teach that it doesn't matter if a person swears by the altar. But you say it does matter if someone swears by the gift on the altar. 19 Are you blind? Which is more important, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20 Anyone who swears by the altar also swears by everything on it. 21 And anyone who swears by the temple also swears by God, who lives there.

22 t To swear by heaven is the same as swearing by God's throne and by the one who sits on that throne.
23  t You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You give God a tenth of the spices from your garden, such as mint, dill, and cumin. Yet you neglect the more important matters of the Law, such as justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These are the important things you should have done, though you should not have left the others undone either.

24 You blind leaders! You strain out a small fly but swallow a camel.
25 You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You wash the outside of your cups and dishes, while inside there is nothing but greed and selfishness.

26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of a cup, and then the outside will also be clean.
27  t You Pharisees and teachers are in for trouble! You're nothing but show-offs. You're like tombs that have been whitewashed.t On the outside they are beautiful, but inside they are full of bones and filth.

28 That's what you are like. Outside you look good, but inside you are evil and only pretend to be good.
29 You Pharisees and teachers are nothing but show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You build monuments for the prophets and decorate the tombs of good people. 30 And you claim you would not have taken part with your ancestors in killing the prophets. 31 But you prove you really are the relatives of the ones who killed the prophets. 32 So keep on doing everything they did.

33 t You are nothing but snakes and the children of snakes! How can you escape going to hell?
34 I will send to you prophets and wise people and experts in the Law of Moses. You will kill them or nail them to a cross or beat them in your synagogues or chase them from town to town. 35 t That's why you will be held guilty for the murder of every good person, beginning with the good man Abel. This also includes Barachiah's son Zechariah, t the man you murdered between the temple and the altar.

36 I can promise that you people living today will be punished for all these things!

Jesus Loves Jerusalem

(Luke 13.34,35)

37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem! Your people have killed the prophets and have stoned the messengers who were sent to you. I have often wanted to gather your people, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But you wouldn't let me. 38 t And now your temple will be deserted.

39 t You won't see me again until you say,
“Blessed is the one who comes
in the name of the Lord.”
