마태복음서 24
예루살렘 성전의 파괴를 예언하시다
(막 13:1-2; 눅 21:5-6)

예수께서 성전에서 나와서 걸어가시는데, 제자들이 다가와서, 성전 건물을 그에게 가리켜 보였다. 2 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “너희는 이 모든 것을 보고 있지 않느냐? 내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 여기에 돌 하나도 돌 위에 남아 있지 않고, 다 무너질 것이다.”
재난의 시작
(막 13:3-13; 눅 21:7-19)

예수께서 올리브 산에 앉아 계실 때에, 제자들이 따로 그에게 다가와서 말하였다. “이런 일들이 언제 일어나겠습니까? 선생님께서 다시 오시는 때와 세상 끝 날에는 어떤 징조가 있겠습니까? 우리에게 말씀해 주십시오.” 4 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “누구에게도 속지 않도록 조심하여라. 5 많은 사람이 내 이름으로 와서 말하기를 ‘내가 t그리스도이다’ 하면서, 많은 사람을 속일 것이다. 6 또 너희는 여기저기서 전쟁이 일어난 소식과 전쟁이 일어나리라는 소문을 들을 것이다. 그러나 너희는 당황하지 않도록 주의하여라. 이런 일이 반드시 일어나야 한다. 그러나 아직 끝은 아니다. 7 민족이 민족을 거슬러 일어나고, 나라가 나라를 거슬러 일어날 것이며, 여기저기서 기근과 지진이 있을 것이다. 8 그러나 이런 모든 일은 진통의 시작이다.”
9 “그 때에 사람들이 너희를 환난에 넘겨줄 것이며, 너희를 죽일 것이다. 또 너희는 내 이름 때문에, 모든 민족에게 미움을 받을 것이다. 10 또 많은 사람이 t걸려서 넘어질 것이요, 서로 넘겨주고, 서로 미워할 것이다. 11 또 거짓 예언자들이 많이 일어나서, 많은 사람을 홀릴 것이다. 12 그리고 불법이 성하여, 많은 사람의 사랑이 식을 것이다. 13 그러나 끝까지 견디는 사람은 구원을 얻을 것이다. 14 이 하늘 나라의 t복음이 온 세상에 전파되어서, 모든 민족에게 증언될 것이다. 그 때에야 끝이 올 것이다.”
가장 큰 재난
(막 13:14-23; 눅 21:20-24)
15 “그러므로 너희는 예언자 다니엘이 말한 바, t황폐하게 하는 가증스러운 물건이 거룩한 곳에 서 있는 것을 보거든, (읽는 사람은 깨달아라) 16 그 때에 유대에 있는 사람들은 산으로 도망하여라. 17 지붕 위에 있는 사람은 제 집 안에 있는 물건을 꺼내려고 내려오지 말아라. 18 밭에 있는 사람은 제 겉옷을 가지러 뒤로 돌아서지 말아라. 19 그 날에는 아이를 밴 여자들과 젖먹이를 가진 여자들은 불행하다. 20 너희가 도망하는 일이 겨울이나 안식일에 일어나지 않도록 기도하여라. 21 그 때에 큰 환난이 닥칠 것인데, 그런 환난은 세상 처음부터 이제까지 없었으며, 앞으로도 없을 것이다. 22 그 환난의 날들을 줄여 주지 않으셨다면, 구원을 얻을 사람이 하나도 없을 것이다. 그러나 선택받은 사람들을 위하여, 하나님께서 그 날들을 줄여 주실 것이다.”
23 “그 때에 누가 너희에게 말하기를 ‘보시오, t그리스도가 여기 계시오’ 혹은 ‘아니, 여기 계시오’ 하더라도, 믿지 말아라. 24 거짓 그리스도들과 거짓 예언자들이 일어나서, 큰 t표징과 기적을 일으키면서, 할 수만 있으면, 선택받은 사람들까지도 홀릴 것이다. 25 보아라, 내가 너희에게 미리 말하여 둔다. 26 그러므로 그들이 너희에게 ‘보아라, 그리스도가 광야에 계신다’ 하고 말하더라도 너희는 나가지 말고, ‘그리스도가 골방에 계신다’ 하더라도 너희는 믿지 말아라. 27 번개가 동쪽에서 나서 서쪽에까지 번쩍이듯이, 인자가 오는 것도 그러할 것이다. 28 주검이 있는 곳에는 독수리가 모여들 것이다.”
인자의 오심
(막 13:24-27; 눅 21:25-28)

t“그 환난의 날들이 지난 뒤에,
곧 해는 어두워지고,
달은 그 빛을 잃고,
별들은 하늘에서 떨어지고,
하늘의 세력들은 흔들릴 것이다.
30 그 때에 인자가 올 징조가 하늘에서 나타날 터인데, 그 때에는 땅에 있는 모든 민족이 가슴을 치며, 인자가 큰 권능과 영광에 싸여 하늘 구름을 타고 오는 것을 보게 될 것이다. 31 그리고 그는 자기 천사들을 큰 나팔 소리와 함께 보낼 터인데, 그들은 하늘 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 사방에서 그가 선택한 사람들을 모을 것이다.”
무화과나무의 교훈
(막 13:28-31; 눅 21:29-33)
32 “무화과나무에서 교훈을 배워라. 가지가 연하여지고, 잎이 돋으면, 너희는 여름이 가까이 온 줄을 안다. 33 이와 같이, 너희도 이 모든 일을 보거든, t인자가 문 앞에 가까이 온 줄을 알아라. 34 내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 이 세대가 끝나기 전에, 이 모든 일이 다 일어날 것이다. 35 하늘과 땅은 없어질지라도, 나의 말은 결코 없어지지 않을 것이다.”
그 날과 그 시각은 아무도 모른다
(막 13:32-37; 눅 17:26-30, 34-36)
36 “그러나 그 날과 그 시각은 아무도 모른다. 하늘의 천사들도 모르고, t아들도 모르고, 오직 아버지만이 아신다. 37 노아의 때와 같이, 이 인자가 올 때에도 그러할 것이다. 38 홍수 이전 시대에, 노아가 방주에 들어가는 날까지, 사람들은 먹고 마시고 장가가고 시집가며 지냈다. 39 홍수가 나서 그들을 모두 휩쓸어 가기까지, 그들은 아무것도 알지 못하였다. 인자가 올 때에도 그러할 것이다. 40 그 때에 두 사람이 밭에 있을 터이나, 하나는 데려가고, 하나는 버려둘 것이다. 41 두 여자가 맷돌을 갈고 있을 터이나, 하나는 데려가고, 하나는 버려둘 것이다. 42 그러므로 깨어 있어라. 너희는 너희 주님께서 어느 t날에 오실지를 알지 못하기 때문이다. 43 이것을 명심하여라. 집주인이 도둑이 밤 몇 시에 올지 알고 있으면, 그는 깨어 있어서, 도둑이 집을 뚫고 들어오도록 내버려두지 않았을 것이다. 44 그러므로 너희도 준비하고 있어라. 너희가 생각하지도 않는 시각에 인자가 올 것이기 때문이다.”
신실한 종과 신실하지 못한 종
(눅 12:41-48)
45 “누가 신실하고 슬기로운 종이겠느냐? 주인이 그에게 자기 집 하인들을 통솔하게 하고, 제 때에 양식을 내주라고 맡겼으면, 그는 어떻게 해야 하겠느냐? 46 주인이 돌아와서 볼 때에, 그렇게 하고 있는 그 종은 복이 있다. 47 내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 주인은 자기 모든 재산을 그에게 맡길 것이다. 48 그러나 그가 나쁜 종이어서, 마음 속으로 생각하기를, ‘주인이 늦게 오시는구나’ 하면서, 49 동료들을 때리고, 술친구들과 어울려 먹고 마시면, 50 생각하지도 않은 날에, 뜻밖의 시각에 그 종의 주인이 와서 51 그 종을 처벌하고, 위선자들이 받을 벌을 내릴 것이다. 거기서 슬피 울며 이를 가는 일이 있을 것이다.”
MATTHEW 24
The Temple Will Be Destroyed
(Mark 13.1,2; Luke 21.5,6)
1 After Jesus left the temple, his disciples came over and said, “Look at all these buildings!”
2 Jesus replied, “Do you see these buildings? They will certainly be torn down! Not one stone will be left in place.”Warning about Trouble
(Mark 13.3-13; Luke 21.7-19)
3 t Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him in private and asked, “When will this happen? What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world?”
4 Jesus answered:
Don't let anyone fool you.
5 Many will come and claim to be me. They will say they are the Messiah, and they will fool many people.
6 You will soon hear about wars and threats of wars, but don't be afraid. These things will have to happen first, but that isn't the end. 7 t Nations and kingdoms will go to war against each other. People will starve to death, and in some places there will be earthquakes.
8 But this is just the beginning of troubles.
9 t You will be arrested, punished, and even killed. Because of me, you will be hated by people of all nations. 10 Many will give up and will betray and hate each other. 11 Many false prophets will come and fool a lot of people. 12 Evil will spread and cause many people to stop loving others. 13 t But if you keep on being faithful right to the end, you will be saved.
14 When the good news about the kingdom has been preached all over the world and told to all nations, the end will come.The Horrible Thing
(Mark 13.14-23; Luke 21.20-24)
15 t Someday you will see that “Horrible Thing” in the holy place, just as the prophet Daniel said. Everyone who reads this must try to understand! 16 If you are living in Judea at that time, run to the mountains. 17 t If you are on the rooft of your house, don't go inside to get anything. 18 If you are out in the field, don't go back for your coat. 19 It will be a terrible time for women who are expecting babies or nursing young children. 20 And pray that you won't have to escape in winter or on a Sabbath.t 21 t This will be the worst time of suffering since the beginning of the world, and nothing this terrible will ever happen again.
22 If God doesn't make the time shorter, no one will be left alive. But because of God's chosen ones, he will make the time shorter.
23 Someone may say, “Here is the Messiah!” or “There he is!” But don't believe it. 24 False messiahs and false prophets will come and work great miracles and signs. They will even try to fool God's chosen ones. 25 But I have warned you ahead of time. 26 t If you are told the Messiah is out in the desert, don't go there! And if you are told he is in some secret place, don't believe it! 27 The coming of the Son of Man will be like lightning that can be seen from east to west.
28 t Where there is a corpse, there will always be vultures.tWhen the Son of Man //Appears
(Mark 13.24-27; Luke 21.25-28)
29 t Right after those days of suffering,
“The sun will become dark,
and the moon
will no longer shine.
The stars will fall,
and the powers in the skyt
will be shaken.”
30 t Then a sign will appear in the sky. And there will be the Son of Man.t All nations on earth will weep when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 At the sound of a loud trumpet, he will send his angels to bring his chosen ones together from all over the earth.A Lesson from a Fig Tree
(Mark 13.28-31; Luke 21.29-33)
32 Learn a lesson from a fig tree. When its branches sprout and start putting out leaves, you know summer is near. 33 So when you see all these things happening, you will know the time has almost come.t 34 I can promise you that some of the people of this generation will still be alive when all this happens.
35 The sky and the earth won't last forever, but my words will.No One Knows the Day //or Time
(Mark 13.32-37; Luke 17.26-30,34-36)
36 No one knows the day or hour. The angels in heaven don't know, and the Son himself doesn't know.t Only the Father knows. 37 t When the Son of Man appears, things will be just as they were when Noah lived. 38 People were eating, drinking, and getting married right up to the day the flood came and Noah went into the big boat.
39 t They didn't know anything was happening until the flood came and swept them all away. This is how it will be when the Son of Man appears.
40 Two men will be in the same field, but only one will be taken. The other will be left. 41 Two women will be together grinding grain, but only one will be taken. The other will be left. 42 So be on your guard! You don't know when your Lord will come. 43 t Homeowners never know when a thief is coming, and they are always on guard to keep one from breaking in.
44 Always be ready! You don't know when the Son of Man will come.Faithful and Unfaithful Servants
(Luke 12.35-48)
45 Who are faithful and wise servants? Who are the ones the master will put in charge of giving the other servants their food supplies at the proper time? 46 Servants are fortunate if their master comes and finds them doing their job. 47 You may be sure a servant who is always faithful will be put in charge of everything the master owns. 48 But suppose one of the servants thinks the master won't return until late. 49 Suppose this evil servant starts beating the other servants and eats and drinks with people who are drunk. 50 If that happens, the master will surely come on a day and at a time when the servant least expects him. 51 This servant will then be punished and thrown out with the ones who only pretended to serve their master. There they will cry and grit their teeth in pain.
