متی 24

1 عیسیٰ بیت المُقدّس کو چھوڑ کر نکل رہا تھا کہ اُس کے شاگرد اُس کے پاس آئے اور بیت المُقدّس کی مختلف عمارتوں کی طرف اُس کی توجہ دلانے لگے۔2 لیکن عیسیٰ نے جواب میں کہا، ”کیا تم کو یہ سب کچھ نظر آتا ہے؟ مَیں تم کو سچ بتاتا ہوں کہ یہاں پتھر پر پتھر نہیں رہے گا بلکہ سب کچھ ڈھا دیا جائے گا۔“3 بعد میں عیسیٰ زیتون کے پہاڑ پر بیٹھ گیا۔ شاگرد اکیلے اُس کے پاس آئے۔ اُنہوں نے کہا، ”ہمیں ذرا بتائیں، یہ کب ہو گا؟ کیا کیا نظر آئے گا جس سے پتا چلے گا کہ آپ آنے والے ہیں اور یہ دنیا ختم ہونے والی ہے؟“4 عیسیٰ نے جواب دیا، ”خبردار رہو کہ کوئی تمہیں گم راہ نہ کر دے۔5 کیونکہ بہت سے لوگ میرا نام لے کر آئیں گے اور کہیں گے، ’مَیں ہی مسیح ہوں۔‘ یوں وہ بہتوں کو گم راہ کر دیں گے۔6 جنگوں کی خبریں اور افواہیں تم تک پہنچیں گی، لیکن محتاط رہو تاکہ تم گھبرا نہ جاؤ۔ کیونکہ لازم ہے کہ یہ سب کچھ پیش آئے۔ توبھی ابھی آخرت نہیں ہو گی۔7 ایک قوم دوسری کے خلاف اُٹھ کھڑی ہو گی، اور ایک بادشاہی دوسری کے خلاف۔ کال پڑیں گے اور جگہ جگہ زلزلے آئیں گے۔8 لیکن یہ صرف دردِ زہ کی ابتدا ہی ہو گی۔9 پھر وہ تم کو بڑی مصیبت میں ڈال دیں گے اور تم کو قتل کریں گے۔ تمام قومیں تم سے اِس لئے نفرت کریں گی کہ تم میرے پیروکار ہو۔10 اُس وقت بہت سے لوگ ایمان سے برگشتہ ہو کر ایک دوسرے کو دشمن کے حوالے کریں گے اور ایک دوسرے سے نفرت کریں گے۔11 بہت سے جھوٹے نبی کھڑے ہو کر بہت سے لوگوں کو گم راہ کر دیں گے۔12 بےدینی کے بڑھ جانے کی وجہ سے بیشتر لوگوں کی محبت ٹھنڈی پڑ جائے گی۔13 لیکن جو آخر تک قائم رہے گا اُسے نجات ملے گی۔14 اور بادشاہی کی اِس خوش خبری کے پیغام کا اعلان پوری دنیا میں کیا جائے گا تاکہ تمام قوموں کے سامنے اِس کی گواہی دی جائے۔ پھر ہی آخرت آئے گی۔15 ایک دن آئے گا جب تم مُقدّس مقام میں وہ کچھ کھڑا دیکھو گے جس کا ذکر دانیال نبی نے کیا اور جو بےحرمتی اور تباہی کا باعث ہے۔“ (قاری اِس پر دھیان دے!)16 ”اُس وقت یہودیہ کے رہنے والے بھاگ کر پہاڑی علاقے میں پناہ لیں۔17 جو اپنے گھر کی چھت پر ہو وہ گھر میں سے کچھ ساتھ لے جانے کے لئے نہ اُترے۔18 جو کھیت میں ہو وہ اپنی چادر ساتھ لے جانے کے لئے واپس نہ جائے۔19 اُن خواتین پر افسوس جو اُن دنوں میں حاملہ ہوں یا اپنے بچوں کو دودھ پلاتی ہوں۔20 دعا کرو کہ تم کو سردیوں کے موسم میں یا سبت کے دن ہجرت نہ کرنی پڑے۔21 کیونکہ اُس وقت ایسی شدید مصیبت ہو گی کہ دنیا کی تخلیق سے آج تک دیکھنے میں نہ آئی ہو گی۔ اِس قسم کی مصیبت بعد میں بھی کبھی نہیں آئے گی۔22 اور اگر اِس مصیبت کا دورانیہ مختصر نہ کیا جاتا تو کوئی نہ بچتا۔ لیکن اللہ کے چنے ہوؤں کی خاطر اِس کا دورانیہ مختصر کر دیا جائے گا۔23 اُس وقت اگر کوئی تم کو بتائے، ’دیکھو، مسیح یہاں ہے‘ یا ’وہ وہاں ہے‘ تو اُس کی بات نہ ماننا۔24 کیونکہ جھوٹے مسیح اور جھوٹے نبی اُٹھ کھڑے ہوں گے جو بڑے عجیب و غریب نشان اور معجزے دکھائیں گے تاکہ اللہ کے چنے ہوئے لوگوں کو بھی غلط راستے پرڈال دیں — اگر یہ ممکن ہوتا۔25 دیکھو، مَیں نے تمہیں پہلے سے اِس سے آگاہ کر دیا ہے۔26 چنانچہ اگر کوئی تم کو بتائے، ’دیکھو، وہ ریگستان میں ہے‘ تو وہاں جانے کے لئے نہ نکلنا۔ اور اگر کوئی کہے، ’دیکھو، وہ اندرونی کمروں میں ہے‘ تو اُس کا یقین نہ کرنا۔27 کیونکہ جس طرح بادل کی بجلی مشرق میں کڑک کر مغرب تک چمکتی ہے اُسی طرح ابنِ آدم کی آمد بھی ہو گی۔28 جہاں بھی لاش پڑی ہو وہاں گِدھ جمع ہو جائیں گے۔29 مصیبت کے اُن دنوں کے عین بعد سورج تاریک ہو جائے گا اور چاند کی روشنی ختم ہو جائے گی۔ ستارے آسمان پر سے گر پڑیں گے اور آسمان کی قوتیں ہلائی جائیں گی۔30 اُس وقت ابنِ آدم کا نشان آسمان پر نظر آئے گا۔ تب دنیا کی تمام قومیں ماتم کریں گی۔ وہ ابنِ آدم کو بڑی قدرت اور جلال کے ساتھ آسمان کے بادلوں پر آتے ہوئے دیکھیں گی۔31 اور وہ اپنے فرشتوں کو بِگل کی اونچی آواز کے ساتھ بھیج دے گا تاکہ اُس کے چنے ہوؤں کو چاروں طرف سے جمع کریں، آسمان کے ایک سرے سے دوسرے سرے تک اکٹھا کریں۔32 انجیر کے درخت سے سبق سیکھو۔ جوں ہی اُس کی شاخیں نرم اور لچک دار ہو جاتی ہیں اور اُن سے کونپلیں پھوٹ نکلتی ہیں تو تم کو معلوم ہو جاتا ہے کہ گرمیوں کا موسم قریب آ گیا ہے۔33 اِسی طرح جب تم یہ واقعات دیکھو گے تو جان لو گے کہ ابنِ آدم کی آمد قریب بلکہ دروازے پر ہے۔34 مَیں تم کو سچ بتاتا ہوں کہ اِس نسل کے ختم ہونے سے پہلے پہلے یہ سب کچھ واقع ہو گا۔35 آسمان و زمین تو جاتے رہیں گے، لیکن میری باتیں ہمیشہ تک قائم رہیں گی۔36 لیکن کسی کو بھی علم نہیں کہ یہ کس دن یا کون سی گھڑی رونما ہو گا۔ آسمان کے فرشتوں اور فرزند کو بھی علم نہیں بلکہ صرف باپ کو۔37 جب ابنِ آدم آئے گا تو حالات نوح کے دنوں جیسے ہوں گے۔38 کیونکہ سیلاب سے پہلے کے دنوں میں لوگ اُس وقت تک کھاتے پیتے اور شادیاں کرتے کراتے رہے جب تک نوح کشتی میں داخل نہ ہو گیا۔39 وہ اُس وقت تک آنے والی مصیبت کے بارے میں لا علم رہے جب تک سیلاب آ کر اُن سب کو بہا نہ لے گیا۔ جب ابنِ آدم آئے گا تو اِسی قسم کے حالات ہوں گے۔40 اُس وقت دو افراد کھیت میں ہوں گے، ایک کو ساتھ لے لیا جائے گا جبکہ دوسرے کو پیچھے چھوڑ دیا جائے گا۔41 دو خواتین چکّی پر گندم پیس رہی ہوں گی، ایک کو ساتھ لے لیا جائے گا جبکہ دوسری کو پیچھے چھوڑ دیا جائے گا۔42 اِس لئے چوکس رہو، کیونکہ تم نہیں جانتے کہ تمہارا خداوند کس دن آ جائے گا۔43 یقین جانو، اگر کسی گھر کے مالک کو معلوم ہوتا کہ چور کب آئے گا تو وہ ضرور چوکس رہتا اور اُسے اپنے گھر میں نقب لگانے نہ دیتا۔44 تم بھی تیار رہو، کیونکہ ابنِ آدم ایسے وقت آئے گا جب تم اِس کی توقع نہیں کرو گے۔45 چنانچہ کون سا نوکر وفادار اور سمجھ دار ہے؟ فرض کرو کہ گھر کے مالک نے کسی نوکر کو باقی نوکروں پر مقرر کیا ہو۔ اُس کی ایک ذمہ داری یہ بھی ہے کہ اُنہیں وقت پر کھانا کھلائے۔46 وہ نوکر مبارک ہو گا جو مالک کی واپسی پر یہ سب کچھ کر رہا ہو گا۔47 مَیں تم کو سچ بتاتا ہوں کہ یہ دیکھ کر مالک اُسے اپنی پوری جائیداد پر مقرر کرے گا۔48 لیکن فرض کرو کہ نوکر اپنے دل میں سوچے، ’مالک کی واپسی میں ابھی دیر ہے۔‘49 وہ اپنے ساتھی نوکروں کو پیٹنے اور شرابیوں کے ساتھ کھانے پینے لگے۔50 اگر وہ ایسا کرے تو مالک ایسے دن اور وقت آئے گا جس کی توقع نوکر کو نہیں ہو گی۔51 اِن حالات کو دیکھ کر وہ نوکر کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر ڈالے گا اور اُسے ریاکاروں میں شامل کرے گا، وہاں جہاں لوگ روتے اور دانت پیستے رہیں گے۔

Matthew 24

1 And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.2 But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray.6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.8 But all these things are the beginning of travail.9 Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name’s sake.10 And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.11 And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray.12 And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.13 But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand),16 then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:17 let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:18 and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.19 But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!20 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath:21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.22 And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe it not.24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.26 If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe it not.27 For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.28 Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.31 And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;33 even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors.34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.37 And as were the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.38 For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,39 and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.40 Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left:41 two women shall be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.42 Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh.43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through.44 Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.47 Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;49 and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken;50 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not,51 and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
