二四

1 　イエスが神殿の庭から出ようとしておられると、弟子たちが近寄って来て、「この神殿は、たいそう立派ですね」と言いました。
2 　ところが、イエスは言われました。　「今、あなたがたが目を見張っているこれらの建物は、一つの石もほかの石の上に残らないほど、あとかたもなく壊されてしまいます。」
3 　そのあとのことです。　イエスがオリーブ山の中腹に座っておられると、弟子たちが来てこっそり尋ねました。　「そんな恐ろしいことがいつ起こるのですか。　あなた様がもう一度おいでになる時や、この世の終わりには、どんな前兆があるのでしょう。」
4 　そこでイエスは、彼らに説明なさいました。　「だれにもだまされないようにしなさい。　5 そのうち、自分こそキリストだと名乗る者が大ぜい現われて、多くの人を惑わすでしょう。　6 また、あちらこちらで戦争が始まったといううわさが流れるでしょう。　だがそれは、わたしがもう一度来る時の前兆ではありません。　こういう現象は必ず起こりますが、それでもまだ、終わりが来たのではありません。　7 民族は民族に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がり、至る所でききんと地震が起こります。　8 しかし、これらはみな、やがて起こる恐ろしい出来事のほんの始まりにすぎないのです。
9 　その時、あなたがたは苦しめられ、殺されることもあるでしょう。また、わたしの弟子だというだけで、世界中の人から憎まれるでしょう。　10 ですから、その時には多くの者が罪の生活に逆戻りし、互いに裏切り、憎み合います。　11 また多くの偽預言者が現われ、大ぜいの人を惑わします。　12 罪があらゆる所にはびこり、人々の愛は冷えきってしまいます。　13 けれども、最後まで耐え忍ぶ者は救われるのです。
14 　そして御国についてのすばらしい知らせが全世界に宣べ伝えられ、すべての国民がそれを耳にします。　それから、ほんとうの終わりが来るのです。
15 　ですから、預言者ダニエルが語った、あの恐るべきものが聖所に立つのを見たなら〔読者よ、この意味をよく考えなさい〕、　16 その時は、ユダヤにいる人たちは山に逃げなさい。　17 屋上にいる人たちは家の中の物を持ち出そうと下に降りてはいけません。　18 畑で野良仕事をしている人たちは着物を取りに戻ってはいけません。
19 　このような日には、妊娠している女と乳飲み子をかかえている母親は、ほんとうに不幸です。　20 あなたがたの逃げる日が、冬や安息日にならないように祈りなさい。　21 その時には、歴史上、類を見ないような大迫害が起こるからです。
22 　もし、このような迫害の期間が短くされないなら、人類は一人残らず滅ぶでしょう。　だが、神に選ばれた人たちのために、この期間は短くされるのです。
23 　その時、『キリスト様がここにおられるぞ』とか、『あそこだ』『いや、ここだ』などと情報が乱れ飛んでも、そんなデマを信じてはいけません。　24 それは、偽キリストや偽善者たちです。　彼らは不思議な奇蹟を行なって、できることなら、神に選ばれた者たちをさえ、惑わそうとするのです。　25 いいですね。　よく警告しておきますよ。
26 　ですから、だれかが、『メシヤ（救い主）がまたおいでになった。荒野におられるぞ』と知らせても、わざわざ見に出かけることはありません。　また、『メシヤはこれこれの所に隠れておられるぞ』と言っても、信じてはいけません。　27 なぜなら、メシヤのわたしは、いなずまが東から西へひらめき渡るようにして、帰って来るからです。　28 死体がある所には、はげたかが集まるものです。
29 　これらの迫害が続いたすぐあとで、太陽は暗くなり、月は光を失い、星は天から落ち、宇宙に異変が起こります。
30 　その時、わたしが来るという前兆が天に現われるのです。　地上のあらゆる国の人々は深い悲しみに包まれ、わたしが力とすばらしい栄光を帯びて、雲に乗って来るのを見ます。　31 ラッパが高らかに鳴り響く中で、わたしは御使いたちを遣わします。　御使いたちは、天と地の果てから果てまで行き巡り、選ばれた者たちを集めるのです。
32 　さあ、いちじくの木から教訓を学びなさい。　いちじくの葉が出てくれば、夏は間近です。　33 同じように、このようなことが起こり始めたら、わたしは、もう戸口まで来ているのです。　34 それらのことが全部起こってから、この時代は終わりになるのです。
35 　天地は消え去りますが、わたしのことばは永遠に残ります。　36 だが、その日、その時がいつであるかは、だれも知りません。　御使いばかりか、神の子さえも、知らないのです。　ただ父だけがご存じです。　
37-38 ちょうど、ノアの時代のように。　当時の人々は洪水が襲う直前まで、やれ宴会だ、パーティーだ、結婚式だと陽気にやっていました。　39 何もかも押し流されてしまうまで、洪水のことなど信じようとしなかったのです。　わたしが来る時も、それと同じです。
40 　その時、二人の人が野良仕事をしていると、一人は天に上げられ、一人はあとに残されます。　41 家事をしている二人の婦人のうち、一人は天に上げられ、一人はその場に残されます。
42 　主はいつ来られるか、わからないのだから、いつ来られてもいいように準備をしていなさい。
43 　寝ずの番をしていれば、どろぼうに入られることもありません。　44 同じように、日ごろの備えが万全であれば、わたしが何の前ぶれもなくやって来ても、少しも困ることはないはずです。
45-46 あなたがたは、主の、賢い忠実な召使として働いていますか。　あなたがたに、子供たちの食事の世話をし、家の中を管理する仕事を任せたではありませんか。　わたしが帰って来た時、その仕事を忠実にやっているところを見られる人はしあわせです。　47 わたしはそのような忠実な人たちに、全財産を管理させるつもりです。
48 　しかし、もし、あなたがたが悪い召使で、『主はまだ当分、帰って来ないだろう』と高をくくり、　49 仲間をいじめたり、宴会を開いて酒を飲んだりし始めたらどうでしょう。　50 主は何の前ぶれもなく、思いがけない時に帰って来て、この有様を見、　51 あなたがたを激しくむち打ち、偽善者たちと同じ目に会わせるでしょう。　あなたがたは泣きわめき、歯ぎしりしてくやしがるのです。再び天国のたとえ話

Matthew 24

1 And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.2 But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray.6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.8 But all these things are the beginning of travail.9 Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name’s sake.10 And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.11 And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray.12 And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.13 But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand),16 then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:17 let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:18 and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.19 But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!20 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath:21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.22 And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe it not.24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.26 If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe it not.27 For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.28 Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.31 And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;33 even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors.34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.37 And as were the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.38 For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,39 and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.40 Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left:41 two women shall be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.42 Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh.43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through.44 Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.47 Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;49 and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken;50 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not,51 and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
