Jésus annonce la destruction du temple
Mc 13.1-4 ; Lc 21.5-7
1 tComme Jésus s’en allait, au sortir du temple, ses disciples vinrent lui en faire remarquer les constructions.
2 tMais il leur répondit : Vous voyez tout cela ?Amen, je vous le dis, il ne restera pas ici pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée.
3 tComme il était assis sur le mont des Oliviers, les disciples vinrent lui demander, en privé : Dis-nous, quand cela arrivera-t-il ? Quel sera le signe de ton avènement et de la fin du monde ?Les signes annonciateurs de la fin
Mc 13.5-13 ; Lc 21.8-19
4 tJésus leur répondit : Prenez garde que personne ne vous égare. 5 tBeaucoup, en effet, viendront en se servant de mon nom, en disant : « C’est moi qui suis le Christ ! », et ils égareront une multitude de gens. 6 tVous allez entendre parler de guerres et de rumeurs de guerres : gardez-vous de vous alarmer ; car cela doit arriver, mais ce n’est pas encore la fin. 7 tCar nation se dressera contre nation et royaume contre royaume ; dans divers lieux il y aura des famines et des tremblements de terre.
8 tMais tout cela ne sera que le commencement des douleurs de l’accouchement.
9 tAlors on vous livrera à la détresse et on vous tuera ; vous serez détestés de toutes les nations à cause de mon nom. 10 tCe sera pour beaucoup une cause de chute ; ils se livreront, ils se détesteront les uns les autres. 11 tBeaucoup de prophètes de mensonge se lèveront et égareront une multitude de gens. 12 tParce que le mal se répandra, l’amour de la multitude se refroidira. 13 tMais celui qui persévérera jusqu’à la fin sera sauvé.
14 tCette bonne nouvelle du Règne sera proclamée par toute la terre habitée ; ce sera un témoignage pour toutes les nations. Alors viendra la fin.Une grande détresse
Mc 13.14-23 ; Lc 21.20-24
15 tC’est pourquoi, lorsque vous verrezl’abomination dévastatrice, qui a été annoncée par l’entremise du prophète Daniel, installée dans un lieu sacré – que le lecteur comprenne – 16 talors, que ceux qui seront en Judée fuient dans les montagnes ; 17 tque celui qui sera sur le toit en terrasse n’en descende pas pour prendre ce qui est chez lui, 18 tet que celui qui sera aux champs ne s’en retourne pas pour prendre son vêtement.
19 tQuel malheur pour les femmes enceintes et pour celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là !
20 tPriez pour que votre fuite n’arrive pas en hiver, ni un jour de sabbat. 21 tCar alors il y aura une grande détresse, telle qu’il n’y en a pas eu depuis le commencement du monde jusqu’à maintenant, et qu’il n’y en aura jamais plus.
22 tSi ces jours-là n’étaient abrégés, personne ne serait sauvé, mais à cause de ceux qui ont été choisis ces jours-là seront abrégés.
23 tSi alors quelqu’un vous dit : « Le Christ est ici ! » ou : « Il est là ! », ne le croyez pas. 24 tCar des christs de mensonge et des prophètes de mensonge se lèveront ; ils donneront de grands signes et des prodiges de façon à égarer, si possible, même ceux qui ont été choisis.
25 tJe vous ai prévenus.Lc 17.23-24,37
26 tSi donc on vous dit : « Il est dans le désert ! », n’y allez pas. – « Il est dans les pièces les plus retirées ! », ne le croyez pas. 27 tEn effet, comme l’éclair qui jaillit au levant se voit jusqu’au couchant, ainsi sera l’avènement du Fils de l’homme.
28 tOù que soit le cadavre, là se rassembleront les vautours.Le signe du Fils de l’homme
Mc 13.24-27 ; Lc 21.25-31
29 tAussitôt après ces jours de détresse,
le soleil s’obscurcira,
la lune ne donnera plus sa clarté,
les étoiles tomberont du ciel
etles puissances des cieux seront ébranlées.
30 tAlors le signe du Fils de l’homme paraîtra dans le ciel, toutes les tribus de la terre se lamenteront, et elles verrontle Fils de l’homme venant sur les nuées du ciel avec beaucoup de puissance et de gloire.
31 tIl enverra ses anges avec une grande trompette, et ils rassembleront des quatre vents, depuis une extrémité des cieux jusqu’à l’autre, ceux qu’il a choisis.La parabole du figuier
Mc 13.28-32 ; Lc 21.29-33
32 tLaissez-vous instruire par la parabole tirée du figuier. Dès que ses branches deviennent tendres et que les feuilles poussent, vous savez que l’été est proche. 33 tDe même, vous aussi, quand vous verrez tout cela, sachez qu’il est proche, aux portes.
34 tAmen, je vous le dis, cette génération ne passera pas que tout cela n’arrive.
35 tLe ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront pas.Personne ne connaît le jour ni l’heure
36 tPour ce qui est du jour et de l’heure, personne ne les connaît, ni les anges des cieux, ni le Fils, mais le Père seul.Lc 17.26-36
37 tEn effet, comme ont été les jours de Noé, ainsi sera l’avènement du Fils de l’homme. 38 tEn effet, aux jours qui précédèrent le déluge, les gens mangeaient et buvaient, se mariaient et mariaient leurs enfants, jusqu’au jour où Noé entra dans l’arche ; 39 tet ils ne se doutèrent de rien jusqu’à ce que le déluge vienne et les emporte tous ; il en sera de même à l’avènement du Fils de l’homme. 40 tAlors, de deux hommes qui seront aux champs, l’un sera pris et l’autre laissé ;
41 de deux femmes qui moudront à la meule, l’une sera prise et l’autre laissée.
42 tVeillez donc, puisque vous ne savez pas quel jour votre Seigneur viendra.
43 tSachez-le bien, si le maître de maison savait à quelle veille de la nuit le voleur doit venir, il veillerait et ne permettrait pas qu’on fracture sa maison.
44 tC’est pourquoi, vous aussi, soyez prêts, car le Fils de l’homme viendra à l’heure que vous ne pensez pas.La parabole de l’esclave digne de confiance
Lc 12.42-46
45 tQuel est donc l’esclave avisé et digne de confiance que le maître a nommé responsable de ses domestiques, pour leur donner la nourriture en temps voulu ? 46 tHeureux cet esclave, celui que son maître, à son arrivée, trouvera occupé de la sorte ! 47 tAmen, je vous le dis, il le nommera responsable de tous ses biens. 48 tMais si c’est un mauvais esclave qui se dit : « Mon maître tarde à venir », 49 tqu’il commence à battre ses compagnons d’esclavage, qu’il mange et boive avec les ivrognes, 50 tle maître de cet esclave viendra le jour où il ne s’y attend pas et à l’heure qu’il ne connaît pas, 51 til le mettra en pièces et lui fera partager le sort des hypocrites ; c’est là qu’il y aura des pleurs et des grincements de dents.

1 And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.2 But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray.6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.8 But all these things are the beginning of travail.9 Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name’s sake.10 And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.11 And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray.12 And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.13 But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand),16 then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:17 let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:18 and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.19 But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!20 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath:21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.22 And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe it not.24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.26 If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe it not.27 For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.28 Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.31 And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;33 even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors.34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.37 And as were the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.38 For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,39 and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.40 Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left:41 two women shall be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.42 Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh.43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through.44 Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.47 Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;49 and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken;50 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not,51 and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
