Matthäus 28

1 Aber spät am Sabbath, in der Dämmerung des ersten Wochentages, kam Maria Magdalene und die andere Maria, um das Grab zu besehen.2 Und siehe, da geschah ein großes Erdbeben; denn ein Engel des Herrn kam aus dem Himmel hernieder, trat hinzu, wälzte den Stein weg und setzte sich darauf.3 Sein Ansehen aber war wie der Blitz, und sein Kleid weiß wie Schnee.4 Aber aus Furcht vor ihm bebten die Hüter und wurden wie Tote.5 Der Engel aber hob an und sprach zu den Weibern: Fürchtet ihr euch nicht, denn ich weiß, daß ihr Jesum, den Gekreuzigten, suchet.6 Er ist nicht hier, denn er ist auferstanden, wie er gesagt hat. Kommet her, sehet die Stätte, wo der Herr gelegen hat,7 und gehet eilends hin und saget seinen Jüngern, daß er von den Toten auferstanden ist; und siehe, er geht vor euch hin nach Galiläa, daselbst werdet ihr ihn sehen. Siehe, ich habe es euch gesagt.8 Und sie gingen eilends von der Gruft hinweg mit Furcht und großer Freude, und liefen, es seinen Jüngern zu verkünden.9 Als sie aber hingingen, es seinen Jüngern zu verkünden, siehe, da kam Jesus ihnen entgegen und sprach: Seid gegrüßt! Sie aber traten herzu, umfaßten seine Füße und huldigten ihm.10 Da spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht; gehet hin, verkündet meinen Brüdern, daß sie hingehen nach Galiläa, und daselbst werden sie mich sehen.11 Während sie aber hingingen, siehe, da kamen etliche von der Wache in die Stadt und verkündeten den Hohenpriestern alles, was geschehen war.12 Und sie versammelten sich mit den Ältesten und hielten Rat; und sie gaben den Soldaten Geld genug13 und sagten: Sprechet: Seine Jünger kamen bei Nacht und stahlen ihn, während wir schliefen.14 Und wenn dies dem Landpfleger zu Ohren kommen sollte, so werden wir ihn zufriedenstellen und machen, daß ihr ohne Sorge seid.15 Sie aber nahmen das Geld und taten, wie sie unterrichtet worden waren. Und diese Rede ist bei den Juden ruchbar geworden bis auf den heutigen Tag.16 Die elf Jünger aber gingen nach Galiläa, an den Berg, wohin Jesus sie beschieden hatte.17 Und als sie ihn sahen, warfen sie sich vor ihm nieder; einige aber zweifelten.18 Und Jesus trat herzu und redete mit ihnen und sprach: Mir ist alle Gewalt gegeben im Himmel und auf Erden.19 Gehet nun hin und machet alle Nationen zu Jüngern, und taufet sie auf den Namen des Vaters und des Sohnes und des Heiligen Geistes,20 und lehret sie, alles zu bewahren, was ich euch geboten habe. Und siehe, ich bin bei euch alle Tage bis zur Vollendung des Zeitalters.

Matthew 28

The Resurrection

1 Now after the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.2 Suddenly there was a severe earthquake, for an angel of the Lordt descending from heaven came and rolled away the stone and sat on it.3 Hist appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.4 Thet guards were shaken and became like dead men because they were so afraid of him.5 But the angel saidt to the women, “Do not be afraid; I knowt that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.s6 He is not here, for he has been raised,t just as he said. Come and see the place where hes was lying.7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead. Het is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there.’ Listen, I have told you!”8 Sot they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.9 Butt Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” Theyt came to him, held on to his feet and worshiped him.

10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”

The Guards’ Report

11 Whilet they were going, somet of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests everything that had happened.12 Aftert they had assembled with the elders and formed a plan, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,13 telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came at night and stole his bodyt while we were asleep.’14 Ift this matter is heard before the governor,t we will satisfy hims and keep you out of trouble.”t

15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story is told among the Jews to this day.s

The Great Commission

16 Sot the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain Jesus had designated.17 Whent they saw him, they worshiped him,t but some doubted.t18 Then Jesus came up and said to them,t “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Therefore got and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,s

20 teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember,t I am with yous always, to the end of the age.”s
