La résurrection de Jésus

1 Après le sabbat, dimanche au lever du jour, Marie de Magdala et l’autre Mariet vinrent voir le tombeau. 2 Soudain, il y eut un fort tremblement de terre ; un ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, vint rouler la grosse pierre et s’assit dessus. 3 Il avait l’aspect d’un éclair et ses vêtements étaient blancs comme la neige. 4 Les gardes en eurent une telle peur qu’ils se mirent à trembler et devinrent comme morts. 5 L’ange prit la parole et dit aux femmes : « N’ayez pas peur. Je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, celui qu’on a cloué sur la croix ; 6 il n’est pas ici, il est revenu de la mort à la vie comme il l’avait dit. Venez, voyez l’endroit où il était couché. 7 Allez vite dire à ses disciples : “Il est revenu d’entre les morts et il va maintenant vous attendre en Galiléet ; c’est là que vous le verrez.” Voilà ce que j’avais à vous dire. » 8 Elles quittèrent rapidement le tombeau, remplies tout à la fois de crainte et d’une grande joie, et coururent porter la nouvelle aux disciples de Jésus. 9 Tout à coup, Jésus vint à leur rencontre et dit : « Je vous salue ! » Elles s’approchèrent de lui, saisirent ses pieds et l’adorèrent.
10 Jésus leur dit alors : « N’ayez pas peur. Allez dire à mes frères de se rendre en Galilée : c’est là qu’ils me verront. »Le récit des gardes
11 Pendant qu’elles étaient en chemin, quelques-uns des soldats qui devaient garder le tombeau revinrent en ville et racontèrent aux chefs des prêtres tout ce qui était arrivé. 12 Les chefs des prêtres se réunirent avec les anciens : après s’être mis d’accord, ils donnèrent une forte somme d’argent aux soldats 13 et leur dirent : « Vous déclarerez que les disciples de cet homme sont venus voler son corps durant la nuit, pendant que vous dormiezt. 14 Et si le gouverneur l’apprend, nous saurons le convaincre et vous éviter toute difficulté. »
15 Les gardes prirent l’argent et agirent conformément aux instructions reçues. Ainsi, cette histoire s’est répandue parmi les Juifs jusqu’à ce jour.Jésus se montre à ses disciples

16 Les onze disciples se rendirent en Galilée, sur la colline que Jésus leur avait indiquéet. 17 Quand ils le virent, ils l’adorèrent ; certains d’entre eux, pourtant, eurent des doutes. 18 Jésus s’approcha et leur dit : « Tout pouvoir m’a été donné dans le ciel et sur la terre. 19 Allez donc auprès des gens de toutes les nations et faites d’eux mes disciplest ; baptisez-les au nom du Père, du Fils et du Saint-Esprit, 20 et enseignez-leur à pratiquer tout ce que je vous ai commandé. Et sachez-le : je vais être avec vous tous les jours, jusqu’à la fin du monde. »

1 Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.3 His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow:4 and for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men.5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified.6 He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and lo, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.8 And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.9 And behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and took hold of his feet, and worshipped him.10 Then saith Jesus unto them, Fear not: go tell my brethren that they depart into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and told unto the chief priests all the things that were come to pass.12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave much money unto the soldiers,13 saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and rid you of care.15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continueth until this day.
16 But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted.18 And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
