La resurrección
1 El domingo por la mañana temprano,t cuando amanecía el nuevo día, María Magdalena y la otra María fueron a visitar la tumba.
2 ¡De repente, se produjo un gran terremoto! Pues un ángel del Señor descendió del cielo, corrió la piedra a un lado y se sentó sobre ella. 3 Su rostro brillaba como un relámpago, y su ropa era blanca como la nieve. 4 Los guardias temblaron de miedo cuando lo vieron y cayeron desmayados por completo.
5 Entonces, el ángel les habló a las mujeres: «¡No teman! —dijo—. Sé que buscan a Jesús el que fue crucificado. 6 ¡No está aquí! Ha resucitado tal como dijo que sucedería. Vengan, vean el lugar donde estaba su cuerpo. 7 Y ahora, vayan rápidamente y cuéntenles a sus discípulos que ha resucitado y que va delante de ustedes a Galilea. Allí lo verán. Recuerden lo que les he dicho».
8 Las mujeres se fueron a toda prisa. Estaban asustadas pero a la vez llenas de gran alegría, y se apresuraron para dar el mensaje del ángel a los discípulos. 9 Mientras iban, Jesús les salió al encuentro y las saludó. Ellas corrieron hasta él, abrazaron sus pies y lo adoraron. 10 Entonces Jesús les dijo: «¡No teman! Digan a mis hermanos que vayan a Galilea, y allí me verán».
El informe de los guardias
11 Mientras las mujeres estaban en camino, algunos de los guardias entraron en la ciudad y les contaron a los principales sacerdotes lo que había sucedido. 12 Se convocó a una reunión con los ancianos, y decidieron dar a los soldados un gran soborno. 13 Les dijeron: «Ustedes deben decir: “Los discípulos de Jesús vinieron durante la noche, mientras dormíamos, y robaron el cuerpo”. 14 Si llega a oídos del gobernador, nosotros los respaldaremos, así no se meterán en problemas». 15 Entonces los guardias aceptaron el soborno y dijeron lo que les habían ordenado. Su historia corrió por todas partes entre los judíos y la siguen contando hasta el día de hoy.
La gran comisión
16 Entonces los once discípulos salieron hacia Galilea y se dirigieron al monte que Jesús les había indicado. 17 Cuando vieron a Jesús, lo adoraron, ¡pero algunos de ellos dudaban!
18 Jesús se acercó y dijo a sus discípulos: «Se me ha dado toda autoridad en el cielo y en la tierra. 19 Por lo tanto, vayan y hagan discípulos de todas las naciones,t bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo. 20 Enseñen a los nuevos discípulos a obedecer todos los mandatos que les he dado. Y tengan por seguro esto: que estoy con ustedes siempre, hasta el fin de los tiempos».

Jesus Is Alive
(Mark 16.1-8; Luke 24.1-12; John 20.1-10)
1 The Sabbath was over, and it was almost daybreak on Sunday when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 Suddenly a strong earthquake struck, and the Lord's angel came down from heaven. He rolled away the stone and sat on it. 3 The angel looked as bright as lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
4 The guards shook from fear and fell down, as though they were dead.
5 The angel said to the women, “Don't be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was nailed to a cross. 6 He isn't here! God has raised him to life, just as Jesus said he would. Come, see the place where his body was lying.
7 Now hurry! Tell his disciples he has been raised to life and is on his way to Galilee. Go there, and you will see him. This is what I came to tell you.”
8 The women were frightened and yet very happy, as they hurried from the tomb and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them and greeted them. They went near him, held on to his feet, and worshiped him.
10 Then Jesus said, “Don't be afraid! Tell my followers to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”Report of the Guard
11 While the women were on their way, some soldiers who had been guarding the tomb went into the city. They told the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 So the chief priests met with the leaders and decided to bribe the soldiers with a lot of money. 13 They said to the soldiers, “Tell everyone that Jesus' disciples came during the night and stole his body while you were asleep. 14 If the governort hears about this, we will talk to him. You won't have anything to worry about.”
15 The soldiers took the money and did what they were told. The people of Judea still tell each other this story.What Jesus' Followers //Must Do

16 t Jesus' eleven disciples went to a mountain in Galilee, where Jesus had told them to meet him.
17 They saw him and worshiped him, but some of them doubted.
18 Jesus came to them and said:
I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth! 19 t Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, 20 and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.
