Ang Pagsulay kay Jesus

(Mar. 1:12,13; Luc. 4:1-13)

1  Pagkatapos sadto, gindala sang Espiritu Santo si Jesus sa kamingawan agod sulayon ni Satanas.2 Sa sulod sang 40 ka adlaw kag 40 ka gab-i nagpuasa si Jesus, kag gin-gutom siya.3  Nagpalapit sa iya ang manugsulay nga si Satanas kag nagsiling,

4 Pero nagsabat si Jesus sa iya,
5  Dayon gindala siya ni Satanas sa Jerusalem, ang balaan nga siyudad, + 5 balaan nga siyudad: Tan-awa ang Lista sang mga Pulong sa likod. f didto sa pinakamataas nga parte sang templo.

6 Kag nagsiling siya kay Jesus,

7  it Pero ginsabat siya ni Jesus,
8 Sa liwat gindala pa gid niya si Jesus sa mataas gid nga bukid, kag ginpakita sa iya ang tanan nga ginharian sang kalibutan kag ang iya sini gahom kag manggad.9 Nagsiling si Satanas sa iya,

10 Dayon nagsiling si Jesus,

11 Dayon naghalin si Satanas, kag nag-abot ang mga anghel sang Dios kag nag-alagad kay Jesus.

Nagsugod si Jesus sang Iya Buluhaton sa Galilea

(Mat. 1:14,15; Luc. 4:14,15)

12  Sang mabatian ni Jesus nga napriso si Juan nga manugbautiso , nagbalik siya sa Galilea.13  Wala siya nagtiner sa Nazaret kundi nagderetso siya sa Capernaum. Ini nga banwa ara sa higad sang Dagat + 13 Dagat: Ang tubig nga ginmitlang diri ginatawag sa English nga ukon sa iban nga Bisaya, . f sang Galilea kag sakop sang Zebulun kag Naftali.14 Natabo ini agod matuman ang gintagna ni Propeta Isaias nga nagasiling,

16 Ang mga tawo dira nga nadulman makakita sang puwerte nga kasanag.

17  Halin sadto nagsugod si Jesus sa pagwali. Nagsiling siya sa mga tawo,

Gintawag ni Jesus ang Apat ka Mangingisda

(Mar. 1:16-20; Luc. 5:1-11)

18 Sang nagalakat si Jesus sa higad sang Dagat sang Galilea, nakita niya ang mag-utod nga si Simon nga ginatawag Pedro kag si Andres nga nagaladlad sang pukot. Mga mangingisda sila.19 Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila,

20 Sa gilayon ginbayaan nila ang ila mga pukot kag nagsunod sa iya.
21 Pagkatapos sadto, nagpadayon si Jesus sa paglakat, kag sa unhan nakita niya ang mag-utod nga si Santiago kag si Juan nga mga anak ni Zebedee. Nagapamuna sila sang ila pukot didto sa sakayan kaupod sang ila amay. Gintawag ni Jesus ang mag-utod,

22 kag sa gilayon ginbayaan nila ang ila sakayan kag ang ila amay kag nagsunod sila kay Jesus.

Nagpanudlo kag Nagpang-ayo si Jesus

(Luc. 6:17-19)

23  Naglibot si Jesus sa bug-os nga Galilea nga nagapanudlo sa mga simbahan sang mga Judio. Ginwali niya sa ila ang Maayong Balita parte sa paghari sang Dios , kag ginpang-ayo niya ang tanan nga klase sang balatian sang mga tawo.24 Nangin bantog siya sa bug-os nga Syria, gani nagdala ang mga tawo sang tanan nga masakiton sa iya: bisan ang mga nagaantos sing tama sa ila mga masakit, ang mga ginagamhan sang malaot nga mga espiritu, ang mga kuyapon, kag ang mga paralitiko. Ginpang-ayo sila tanan ni Jesus.25  Madamo gid nga mga tawo ang nagsunod kay Jesus halin sa Galilea, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, kag sa tabok sang Suba sang Jordan.

MATTHEW 4

Jesus and the Devil

(Mark 1.12,13; Luke 4.1-13)

1  t The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert, so that the devil could test him. 2 After Jesus had gone without eatingt for 40 days and nights, he was very hungry.

3 Then the devil came to him and said, “If you are God's Son, tell these stones to turn into bread.”

4  t Jesus answered, “The Scriptures say:
‘No one can live only on food.
People need every word
that God has spoken.’ ”
5 Next, the devil took Jesus into the holy city to the highest part of the temple.

6 t The devil said, “If you are God's Son, jump off. The Scriptures say:
‘God will give his angels
orders about you.
They will catch you
in their arms,
and you won't hurt
your feet on the stones.’ ”

7  t Jesus answered, “The Scriptures also say, ‘Don't try to test the Lord your God!’ ”
8 Finally, the devil took Jesus up on a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms on earth and their power.

9 The devil said to him, “I will give all this to you, if you will bow down and worship me.”

10  t Jesus answered, “Go away Satan! The Scriptures say:
‘Worship the Lord your God
and serve only him.’ ”

11 Then the devil left Jesus, and angels came to help him.

Jesus Begins His Work

(Mark 1.14,15; Luke 4.14,15)

14 So God's promise came true, just as the prophet Isaiah had said,

15  t “Listen, lands of Zebulun
and Naphtali,
lands along the road
to the sea
and across the Jordan.
Listen Galilee,
land of the Gentiles!

16 Although your people
live in darkness,
they will see
a bright light.
Although they live
in the shadow of death,
a light will shine
on them.”

17  t Then Jesus started preaching, “Turn back to God! The kingdom of heaven will soon be here.”t

Jesus Chooses //Four Fishermen

(Mark 1.16-20; Luke 5.1-11)

20 Right then the two brothers dropped their nets and went with him.
21 Jesus walked on until he saw James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in a boat with their father, mending their nets. Jesus asked them to come with him.

22 At once they left the boat and their father and went with Jesus.

Jesus Teaches, Preaches, //and Heals

(Luke 6.17-19)

24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people with every kind of sickness or disease were brought to him. Some of them had a lot of demons in them, others were thought to be crazy, t and still others could not walk. But Jesus healed them all.
25 Large crowds followed Jesus from Galilee and the region around the ten cities known as Decapolis.t They also came from Jerusalem, Judea, and from across the Jordan River.
