آزمایشهای سهگانه
(مرقس 12:1-13؛ لوقا 1:4-13)
1 آنگاه روح، عیسی را به بیابان برد تا ابلیس او را در مقابل وسوسهها امتحان كند. 2 عیسی چهل شبانهروز، روزه گرفت و سرانجام گرسنه شد.
3 در آن وقت وسوسه كننده به او نزدیک شده گفت: «اگر تو پسر خدا هستی بگو این سنگها نان بشود.»
4 عیسی در جواب گفت: «کتابمقدّس میفرماید:
'زندگی انسان فقط بسته به نان نیست،
بلكه به هر كلمهای كه خدا میفرماید.'»
5 آنگاه ابلیس او را به شهر مقدّس برده بر روی كنگرهٔ معبد بزرگ قرار داد
6 و به او گفت: «اگر تو پسر خدا هستی خود را از اینجا به پایین بینداز زیرا کتابمقدّس میفرماید:
'او به فرشتگان خود فرمان خواهد داد
و آنان تو را با دستهای خود خواهند گرفت
مبادا پایت به سنگی بخورد.'»
7 عیسی جواب داد: «کتابمقدّس همچنین میفرماید: 'خداوند خدای خود را امتحان نكن.'» 8 بار دیگر ابلیس او را بر بالای كوه بسیار بلندی برد و تمامی ممالک جهان و شكوه و جلال آنها را به او نشان داد 9 و گفت: «اگر نزد من سجده کنی و مرا بپرستی، همهٔ اینها را به تو خواهم داد.»
10 عیسی به او فرمود: «دور شو ای شیطان، کتابمقدّس میفرماید: 'باید خداوند خدای خود را بپرستی و فقط او را خدمت نمایی.'»
11 آنگاه ابلیس عیسی را ترک نموده و فرشتگان آمده، او را خدمت كردند.شروع كار عیسی در جلیل
(مرقس 14:1-15؛ لوقا 14:4-15)
12 وقتی عیسی شنید كه یحیی بازداشت شده است به استان جلیل رفت. 13 ولی در شهر ناصره نماند بلكه به كفرناحوم كه در كنار دریای جلیل و در نواحی زبولون و نفتالی واقع است رفت و در آنجا ماندگار شد.
14 با این كار سخنان اشعیای نبی تحقّق یافت كه میفرماید:
15 «زبولون و نفتالی،
سرزمینهایی كه در مسیر دریا و آنسوی اردن هستند.
جلیل در قسمت بیگانگان.
16 قومی كه در تاریكی به سر میبرند
نور عظیمی خواهند دید
و بر آنانی كه در سرزمین سایهٔ مرگ ساكنند
نوری خواهد درخشید.»
17 عیسی از آن روز به اعلام پیام خود پرداخت و گفت: «توبه كنید زیرا پادشاهی آسمان نزدیک است.»دعوت چهار ماهیگیر
(مرقس 16:1-20؛ لوقا 1:5-11)
18 وقتی عیسی در كنار دریای جلیل قدم میزد، دو برادر یعنی شمعون ملقّب به پطرس و برادرش اندریاس را دید كه تور به دریا میانداختند زیرا آنها ماهیگیر بودند. 19 عیسی به ایشان فرمود: «دنبال من بیایید تا شما را صیّاد مردم گردانم.»
20 آن دو نفر فوراً تورهایشان را گذاشته به دنبال او رفتند.
21 عیسی از آنجا قدری جلوتر رفت و دو برادر دیگر یعنی یعقوب زِبدی و برادرش یوحنا را دید كه با پدر خود زِبدی در قایق نشسته، مشغول آماده كردن تورهای خود بودند. عیسی آنها را نزد خود خواند
22 و آنها فوراً قایق و پدرشان را ترک كرده به دنبال او رفتند.تعالیم و خدمات عیسی
(لوقا 17:6-19)
23 عیسی در تمام جلیل میگشت، در کنیسههای آنها تعلیم میداد و مژدهٔ پادشاهی خدا را اعلام میکرد و بیماریها و ناخوشیهای مردم را شفا میبخشید. 24 او در تمام سوریه شهرت یافت و تمام کسانی را كه به انواع امراض و دردها مبتلا بودند و دیوانگان و مصروعان و مفلوجان را نزد او میآوردند و او آنان را شفا میبخشید. 25 جمعیّت زیادی نیز از جلیل و دكاپولس، از اورشلیم و یهودیه و از آنسوی اردن به دنبال او روانه شدند.

Jesus and the Devil
(Mark 1.12,13; Luke 4.1-13)
1 t The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert, so that the devil could test him. 2 After Jesus had gone without eatingt for 40 days and nights, he was very hungry.
3 Then the devil came to him and said, “If you are God's Son, tell these stones to turn into bread.”
4 t Jesus answered, “The Scriptures say:
‘No one can live only on food.
People need every word
that God has spoken.’ ”
5 Next, the devil took Jesus into the holy city to the highest part of the temple.
6 t The devil said, “If you are God's Son, jump off. The Scriptures say:
‘God will give his angels
orders about you.
They will catch you
in their arms,
and you won't hurt
your feet on the stones.’ ”
7 t Jesus answered, “The Scriptures also say, ‘Don't try to test the Lord your God!’ ”
8 Finally, the devil took Jesus up on a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms on earth and their power.
9 The devil said to him, “I will give all this to you, if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 t Jesus answered, “Go away Satan! The Scriptures say:
‘Worship the Lord your God
and serve only him.’ ”
11 Then the devil left Jesus, and angels came to help him.Jesus Begins His Work
(Mark 1.14,15; Luke 4.14,15)
12 t When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he went to Galilee. 13 t But instead of staying in Nazareth, Jesus moved to Capernaum. This town was beside Lake Galilee in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali.t
14 So God's promise came true, just as the prophet Isaiah had said,
15 t “Listen, lands of Zebulun
and Naphtali,
lands along the road
to the sea
and across the Jordan.
Listen Galilee,
land of the Gentiles!
16 Although your people
live in darkness,
they will see
a bright light.
Although they live
in the shadow of death,
a light will shine
on them.”
17 t Then Jesus started preaching, “Turn back to God! The kingdom of heaven will soon be here.”tJesus Chooses //Four Fishermen
(Mark 1.16-20; Luke 5.1-11)
18 While Jesus was walking along the shore of Lake Galilee, he saw two brothers. One was Simon, also known as Peter, and the other was Andrew. They were fishermen, and they were casting their net into the lake. 19 Jesus said to them, “Follow me! I will teach you how to bring in people instead of fish.”
20 Right then the two brothers dropped their nets and went with him.
21 Jesus walked on until he saw James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in a boat with their father, mending their nets. Jesus asked them to come with him.
22 At once they left the boat and their father and went with Jesus.Jesus Teaches, Preaches, //and Heals
(Luke 6.17-19)
23 t Jesus went all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news about God's kingdom. He also healed every kind of disease and sickness.
24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people with every kind of sickness or disease were brought to him. Some of them had a lot of demons in them, others were thought to be crazy, t and still others could not walk. But Jesus healed them all.
25 Large crowds followed Jesus from Galilee and the region around the ten cities known as Decapolis.t They also came from Jerusalem, Judea, and from across the Jordan River.
