MATIU 5

1 Ma mb͕e Ọ huru ìgwè madu ahu, Ọ rigoro n'ugwu ahu: mb͕e Ọ nọduru ala, ndi nēso uzọ-Ya we biakute Ya:

2 O we saghe ọnu-Ya, zí ha ihe, si,

3 Ngọzi nādiri ndi bu ob͕eye nime mọ-ha: n'ihi na ala-eze nke elu-igwe bu nke ndi ahu.

4 Ngọzi nādiri ndi nēru újú: n'ihi na ndi ahu ka agākasì obi.

5 Ngọzi nādiri ndi di nwayọ n'obi: n'ihi na ndi ahu gēketa uwa.

6 Ngọzi nādiri ndi agu ezi omume nāgu, ndi akpiri nākpọ kwa nku na ya: n'ihi na ndi ahu ka afọ gēju.

7 Ngọzi nādiri ndi-ebere: n'ihi na ndi ahu ka agēmere ebere.

8 Ngọzi nādiri ndi di ọcha n'obi: n'ihi na ndi ahu gāhu Chineke.

9 Ngọzi nādiri ndi nēme ka madu na ibe-ha di n'udo: n'ihi na ndi ahu ka agākpọ umu Chineke.
10 Ngọzi nādiri ndi esob͕uworo n'ihi ezi omume: n'ihi na ala-eze elu-igwe bu nke ndi ahu. 11 Ngọzi nādiri unu mb͕e ọ bula ha nāta unu uta, nēsob͕u kwa unu, nēkwu kwa ajọ ihe nile di iche iche megide unu n'okwu-ugha, n'ihim.

12 Ṅurianu ọṅu, ka obi tọ kwa unu utọ nke-uku: n'ihi na ugwọ-ọlu-unu di uku n'elu-igwe: n'ihi na otú a ka ha sob͕uru ndi-amuma ndi buru unu uzọ.
13 Unu onwe-unu bu nnú nke uwa: ma ọ buru na nnú etufuwo utọ-ya, àgēji gini me ya ka ọ ghọ ezi nnú? ọ dighi kwa irè iji me ihe ọ bula ọzọ, ma-ọbughi ka etufue ya n'èzí, madu azọ ya ukwu. 14 Unu onwe-unu bu ìhè nke uwa. Apughi izo obodo nke ewuworo n'elu ugwu. 15 Ma ha adighi-amuye oriọna, dọba ya n'okpuru mb͕é, kama n'elu ihe-idọba-oriọna; ọ nēnwu-kwa-ra madu nile nọ n'ulo ahu.

16 Otú a menu ka ìhè-unu nēnwu n'iru madu, ka ha we hu ọlu ọma nile unu, we to Nna-unu Nke bi n'elu-igwe.
17 Unu echèla na abiaram imebi iwu Chineke ma-ọbu ndi-amuma-Ya: abiaghm imebi, kama imezu ya. 18 N'ihi na n'ezie asim unu, Rue mb͕e elu-igwe na ala gāgabiga, ọ dighi otù ihe ọ bula dikarisiri ntà gāgabiga n'iwu ma-ọli, rue mb͕e ihe nile gēme. 19 Ya mere onye ọ bula nke gēmebi otù nime ihe ndia dikarisiri ntà nke enyere n'iwu, nke gēzí kwa madu otú ahu, agākpọ ya onye dikarisiri ntà n'ala-eze elu-igwe: ma onye ọ bula nke gēme ha, zí kwa ha, onye ahu ka agākpọ onye uku n'ala-eze elu-igwe.

20 N'ihi na asim unu, na ọ buru na ezi omume-unu adighi-akari ezi omume ndi-ode-akwukwọ na ndi-Farisi nke-uku, unu agaghi-abà n'ala-eze elu-igwe ma-ọli.
21 Unu nuru na agwara ndi-ochie, si, Eb͕ula madu; ma onye ọ bula nke b͕uru madu gēnye onwe-ya n'aka ikpé: 22 ma Mu onwem si unu, na onye ọ bula nke nēwe iwe megide nwa-nne-ya gēnye onwe-ya n'aka ikpé; onye ọ bula nke gāsi kwa nwa-nne-ya, Raka, gēnye onwe-ya n'aka nnọkọ-ikpé; onye ọ bula nke gāsi kwa, Onye-nzuzù, gēnye onwe-ya n'aka ọku ala-mọ. 23 Ya mere ọ buru na i nēche onyinye-gi n'iru Chineke n'ebe-ichu-àjà, i we cheta n'ebe ahu na nwa-nne-gi nwere ihe megide gi, 24 rapu onyinye-gi n'ebe ahu n'iru ebe-ichu-àjà, laba, buru uzọ me ka gi na nwa-nne-gi di n'udo, mb͕e ahu bia kwa che onyinye-gi. 25 Me ka gi na onye nēkuru gi ga ikpé me eyì ọsọsọ, mb͕e gi na ya nọ n'uzọ; ka onye ahu nēkuru gi ga ikpe we ghara irara gi nye n'aka onye-ikpe ma eleghi anya, onye ikpe arara kwa gi nye n'aka onye nēje ozi, ewe tubà gi n'ulo-nkpọrọ.

26 N'ezie asim i, I gaghi-aputa n'ebe ahu ma-ọli, rue mb͕e i gākwughachi farthing ikpe-azu.
27 Unu nuru na ekwuru, si, Akwala iko: 28 ma Mu onwem si unu, na nwoke ọ bula nke nēle nwanyi anya ka agu ya we gua ya, ọ kwasiwo ya iko n'obi-ya ub͕u a. 29 Ma ọ buru na anya aka-nri gi eme gi ka i ma n'ọnyà, ghupu ya, tupu kwa ya n'aru-gi: n'ihi na ọ bara gi urù ka otù nime ihe di gi n'aru la n'iyì, ka aghara kwa itubà aru-gi dum n'ọku ala-mọ. 30 Ma ọ buru na aka-nri-gi eme gi ka i ma n'ọnya, bipu ya, tupu kwa ya n'aru-gi: n'ihi na ọ bara gi urù ka otù nime ihe di gi n'aru la n'iyì, ka aru-gi dum ghara kwa ije n'ọku ala-mọ. 31 Ekwu-kwa-ra, si, Nwoke ọ bula nke gārapu nwunye-ya, ya nye ya akwukwọ nkewa:

32 ma Mu onwem si unu, na nwoke ọ bula nke nārapu nwunye-ya, ma-ọbughi n'ihi ikwa-iko, ọ nēme nwanyi ahu ka ọ nọ n'ọnọdu onye akwara iko megide: onye ọ bula nke gālu kwa ya mb͕e arapusiri ya, ọ nākwa iko.
33 Ọzọ kwa, unu nuru na agwara ndi-ochie, si, Aṅula iyí ugha, kama nyeghachi Onye-nwe-ayi ihe nile i ṅuru n'iyí: 34 ma Mu onwem si unu, Aṅula iyí ma-ọli; ejila elu-igwe ṅu, n'ihi na ọ bu oche-eze Chineke; 35 eji-kwa-la ala, n'ihi na ọ bu ihe-nb͕akwasi-ukwu nke ukwu-Ya; aṅukwala iyí n'ebe Jerusalem di, n'ihi na ọ bu obodo nke Eze uku ahu. 36 Eji-kwa-la isi-gi ṅu iyí, n'ihi na i pughi ime otù agiri-isi ka ọ di ọcha ma-ọbu ka ọ di oji.

37 Ma ka okwu-unu buru, E, e; É-è, é-è: ma ihe ọ bula kariri ndia nēsite n'ajọ onye ahu.
38 Unu nuru na ekwuru, si, Anya lara anya, ezé lara ezé: 39 ma Mu onwem si unu, Eguzogidela onye bu ajọ onye: kama onye ọ bula nāku gi ura na ǹtì aka-nri, tughari-kwa-ra ya ǹtì ọzọ. 40 Ma ọ buru na onye ọ bula nāchọ ka gi na ya je ikpé, ka o we nara gi uwe-ime-gi, rapu-kwa-ra ya oké uwe-gi. 41 Onye ọ bula nke gējide gi ije otù mile, so ya je mile abua.

42 Nye onye nāriọ gi, ab͕akuta-kwa-la ya azú, bú onye nāchọ ka i binye ya ihe.
43 Unu nuru na ekwuru, si, Hu madu-ibe-gi n'anya, kpọ kwa onye-iro-gi asì: 44 ma Mu onwem si unu, Nāhunu ndi-iro-unu n'anya, nēkpe kwa ekpere nye ndi nēsob͕u unu; 45 ka unu we buru umu nke Nna-unu Nke bi n'elu-igwe: n'ihi na Ọ nēme ka anyanwu-Ya nāwakwasi ajọ madu na ezi madu, Ọ nēme kwa ka miri zokwasi ndi ezi omume na ndi ajọ omume. 46 N'ihi na ùnu nwere ugwọ-ọlu gini, ma ọ buru na unu huru ndi ahu n'anya, bú ndi nāhu unu n'anya? ọbuná ndi-ọna-utu, hà adighi-eme otù ihe ahu? 47 Ọ buru kwa na unu nēkele nání umu-nne-unu, gini ka unu nēme kari ndi ọzọ? ọbuná ndi mba ọzọ, hà adighi-eme otù ihe ahu? 48 Ya mere unu onwe-unu gēzu okè, dika Nna-unu nke elu-igwe zuru okè.

Matthew 5

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain: and when he had sat down, his disciples came unto him:2 and he opened his mouth and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

10 Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 Blessed are ye when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men.14 Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.15 Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house.16 Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

17 Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil.18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished.19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.20 For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.

21 Ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:22 but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire.23 If therefore thou art offering thy gift at the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee,24 leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way, first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, while thou art with him in the way; lest haply the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.26 Verily I say unto thee, thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou have paid the last farthing.

27 Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not commit adultery:28 but I say unto you, that every one that looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.29 And if thy right eye causeth thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body be cast into hell.30 And if thy right hand causeth thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body go into hell.31 It was said also, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:32 but I say unto you, that every one that putteth away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, maketh her an adulteress: and whosoever shall marry her when she is put away committeth adultery.

33 Again, ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:34 but I say unto you, swear not at all; neither by the heaven, for it is the throne of God;35 nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, for thou canst not make one hair white or black.37 But let your speech be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: and whatsoever is more than these is of the evil one.

38 Ye have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:39 but I say unto you, resist not him that is evil: but whosoever smiteth thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.40 And if any man would go to law with thee, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go one mile, go with him two.42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43 Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy:44 but I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;45 that ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.46 For if ye love them that love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the Gentiles the same?48 Ye therefore shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
