เกลือ_และ_แสงสว่าง

15 เหมือน_กับ_เมื่อ_จุด_ตะเกียง ก็_ไม่_มี_ใคร_เอา_ไป_ไว้_ใต้_ถัง แต่_จะ_เอา_ไป_ตั้ง_ไว้_บน_เชิง_ตะเกียง เพื่อ_จะ_ได้_ส่อง_สว่าง_ให้_กับ_ทุก_คน_ที่_อยู่_ใน_บ้าน

17 อย่า_คิด_ว่า_เรา_มา_ยกเลิก_กฎ_ปฏิบัติ_ของ_โมเสส หรือ_มา_ยกเลิก_ข้อ_ความ_ที่_ผู้_พูด_แทน_พระเจ้า_เขียน_ไว้ เรา_ไม่_ได้_มา_ยกเลิก_แต่_มา_ทำ_ให้_มัน_สำเร็จt

18 เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า ตราบ_ใด_ที่_ฟ้า_และ_ดิน_ยัง_อยู่ จะ_ไม่_มี_วัน_ที่_ตัว_หนังสือ_ตัว_เล็กๆ_หรือ_จุด_เล็กๆ_สัก_จุด_เดียว_จะ_หาย_ไป_จาก_กฎ_ปฏิบัติ จน_กว่า_ทุก_อย่าง_จะ_เกิด_ขึ้น_จริง_ตาม_นั้น

19 คน_ที่_ไม่_ยอม_เชื่อ_ฟัง_ข้อ_เล็กๆ_ข้อ_หนึ่ง_ใน_กฎ_ปฏิบัติ แล้ว_ยัง_สอน_ให้_คน_อื่น_ไม่_เชื่อ_ฟัง_ด้วย คน_นั้น_ก็_จะ_เป็น_คน_ที่_เล็กน้อย_ที่สุด_ใน_อาณา_จักร_แห่ง_สวรรค์ แต่_คน_ที่_เชื่อ_ฟัง_กฎ_ปฏิบัติ_และ_สอน_ให้_คน_อื่น_เชื่อ_ฟัง_ด้วย คนๆ_นั้น_ก็_จะ_เป็น_คน_ที่_ยิ่ง_ใหญ่_ใน_อาณา_จักร_แห่ง_สวรรค์

20 เพราะ_เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า ถ้า_พวก_คุณ_ไม่_ได้_เชื่อ_ฟัง_พระเจ้า_มาก_ไป_กว่า_ที่_พวก_ครู_สอน_กฎ_ปฏิบัติ_และ_พวก_ฟาริสี เชื่อ_ฟัง_พระองค์ คุณ_ก็_จะ_ไม่_มี_วัน_ได้_เข้า_ไป_ใน_อาณา_จักร_แห่ง_สวรรค์

เรื่อง_ความ_โกรธ

21 พวก_คุณ_คง_เคย_ได้_ยิน_ที่_เขา_พูด_กับ_คน_สมัย_ก่อน_ว่า ‘อย่า_ฆ่า_คนt’ แต่_ถ้า_ใคร_ทำ คน_นั้น_จะ_ต้อง_ถูก_ลงโทษ

22 แต่_เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า แค่_คน_ที่_โกรธ_พี่_น้อง_ของ_ตัวเอง_ก็_ถูก_ตัดสิน_ว่า_ผิด_แล้ว และ_คน_ที่_ว่า_พี่_น้อง_ของ_ตัวเอง_ว่า ‘ไอ้_ปัญญา_อ่อน’ เขา_จะ_ต้อง_ถูก_สอบสวน_ใน_ศาลสูง และ_ใคร_ก็_ตาม_ที่_ว่า_คน_อื่น ‘ไอ้_โง่’ เขา_ก็_เสี่ยง_ต่อ_บึง_ไฟ_นรก_แล้ว

23 ดัง_นั้น_ถ้า_คุณ_นำ_เครื่อง_บูชา_มา_ถึง_แท่น_บูชา และ_นึก_ขึ้น_ได้_ว่า พี่_น้อง_มี_ปัญหา_กับ_คุณ_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_คุณ_ทำ_ไป

24 ให้_วาง_เครื่อง_บูชา_นั้น_ไว้ และ_กลับ_ไป_คืน_ดี_กับ_พี่_น้อง_คน_นั้น_ก่อน แล้ว_ค่อย_กลับ_มา_ถวาย_เครื่อง_บูชา

25 ถ้า_มี_ใคร_ฟ้องร้อง_คุณ ก็_ให้_รีบ_ปรับ_ความ_เข้า_ใจ_กับ_เขา_ใน_ระ_หว่าง_ทาง_ที่_กำ_ลัง_ไป_ศาล ไม่_อย่าง_นั้น_เขา_จะ_ส่ง_ตัว_คุณ_ให้_ผู้_พิพากษา แล้ว_ผู้_พิพากษา_จะ_ส่ง_คุณ_ไป_ให้_ผู้_คุม_เอา_ไป_ขัง_คุก

35 ไม่_ต้อง_อ้าง_ถึง_โลก_นี้ เพราะ_โลก_นี้_เป็น_ที่_วาง_เท้า_ของ_พระเจ้าt ไม่_ต้อง_อ้าง_ถึง_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม เพราะ_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม_เป็น_เมือง_ของ_กษัตริย์_ผู้_ยิ่ง_ใหญ่

36 ไม่_ต้อง_อ้าง_โดย_เอา_หัว_เป็น_ประกัน เพราะ_เส้น_ผม_สัก_เส้น_คุณ_ก็_ยัง_ไม่_มี_ปัญญา_ทำ_ให้_มัน_ขาว_หรือ_ดำ_ได้_เลย

37 ถ้า ‘ใช่’ ก็_บอก_ว่า ‘ใช่’ ถ้า ‘ไม่’ ก็_บอก_ว่า ‘ไม่’ พูด_แค่_นี้_พอ_แล้ว พูด_มาก_กว่า_นี้_ก็_มา_จาก_มาร

41 ถ้า_ใคร_บังคับ_ให้_คุณ_แบก_ของ_ไป_กับ_เขา_หนึ่ง_กิโลเมตร ก็_แบก_ไป_สอง_กิโลเมตร_เลย

42 ถ้า_ใคร_มา_ขอ_อะไร_จาก_คุณ_ก็_ให้_เขา_ไป อย่า_หัน_หน้า_หนี_ไป_จาก_คน_ที่_มา_ขอ_ยืม_คุณ_เลย

ให้_รัก_ศัตรู

44 แต่_เรา_ขอ_บอก_คุณ_ว่า ให้_รัก_ศัตรู_ของ_คุณ และ_อธิษฐาน_เผื่อ_คน_ที่_ข่มเหง_คุณ

45 เพราะ_ถ้า_ทำ_อย่าง_นี้ คุณ_ก็_จะ_เป็น_ลูก_ที่_แท้_จริง_ของ_พระบิดา_ใน_สวรรค์ พระองค์_ทำ_ให้_ดวง_อาทิตย์_ส่อง_สว่าง_ให้_ทั้ง_คนดี_และ_คน_ชั่ว ให้_ฝน_ตก_กับ_ทั้ง_คน_ที่_ทำ_ถูก_และ_คน_ที่_ทำ_ผิด_เหมือน_กัน

46 ถ้า_คุณ_รัก_แต่_คน_ที่_รัก_คุณ แล้ว_มัน_มี_อะไร_พิเศษ_ตรง_ไหน แม้_แต่_คน_เก็บ_ภาษี ก็_ยัง_รัก_คน_ที่_รัก_เขา_เหมือน_กัน

Matthew 5

The Sermon on the Mount; The Beatitudes

1 When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him.2 He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying,

3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5 "Blessed are the tgentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

7 "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

8 "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

10 "Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Disciples and the World

13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 "For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Personal Relationships

21 "You have heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER' and 'Whoever commits murder shall be tliable to the court.'22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'tYou good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before tthe supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the tfiery hell.23 Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,24 leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.25 Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, so that your opponent may not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.26 Truly I say to you, you will not come out of there until you have paid up the last tcent.

27 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY';28 but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.29 If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.30 If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.

31 "It was said, 'WHOEVER SENDS HIS WIFE AWAY, LET HIM GIVE HER A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE';32 but I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for the reason of unchastity, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

33 "Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FALSE VOWS, BUT SHALL FULFILL YOUR VOWS TO THE LORD.'34 But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,35 or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING.36 Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.37 But let your statement be, 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no'; anything beyond these is of evil.

38 "You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.'39 But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.40 If anyone wants to sue you and take your tshirt, let him have your tcoat also.41 Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.42 Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.

43 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.'44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?47 If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
