馬太福音 6
論施捨
1 「你們要謹慎，不可故意在人面前表現虔誠，叫他們看見，若是這樣，就不能得你們天父的賞賜了。
2 「所以，你施捨的時候，不可叫人在你前面吹號，像那假冒為善的人在會堂裏和街道上所做的，故意要得人的稱讚。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。 3 你施捨的時候，不要讓左手知道右手所做的， 4 好使你隱祕地施捨；你父在隱祕中察看，必然賞賜你。」
論禱告
5 「你們禱告的時候，不可像那假冒為善的人，愛站在會堂裏和十字路口禱告，故意讓人看見。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。 6 你禱告的時候，要進入內室，關上門，向那在隱祕中的父禱告；你父在隱祕中察看，必將賞賜你。 7 你們禱告，不可像外邦人那樣重複一些空話，他們以為話多了必蒙垂聽。 8 你們不可效法他們。因為在你們祈求以前，你們所需要的，你們的父早已知道了。」

9 「所以，你們要這樣禱告： 『我們在天上的父： 願人都尊你的名為聖。
10 願你的國降臨； 願你的旨意行在地上， 如同行在天上。
11 我們日用的飲食，今日賜給我們。
12 免我們的債， 如同我們免了人的債。
13 不叫我們陷入試探； 救我們脫離那惡者。 因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的， 直到永遠。阿們！t』
14 「你們若饒恕人的過犯，你們的天父也必饒恕你們； 15 你們若不饒恕人t，你們的天父也必不饒恕你們的過犯。」
論禁食
16 「你們禁食的時候，不可像那假冒為善的人，臉上帶著愁容；因為他們蓬頭垢面，故意讓人看出他們在禁食。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。 17 你禁食的時候，要梳頭洗臉， 18 不要讓人看出你在禁食，只讓你隱祕中的父看見；你父在隱祕中察看，必然賞賜你。」
論天上的財寶
（路12．33－34）
19 「不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖洞來偷。 20 要在天上積蓄財寶；天上沒有蟲子咬，不會銹壞，也沒有賊挖洞來偷。 21 因為你的財寶在哪裏，你的心也在哪裏。」
眼睛是身體的燈
（路11．34－36）
22 「眼睛是身體的燈。你的眼睛若明亮，全身就光明； 23 你的眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。你裏面的光若黑暗了，那黑暗是何等大呢！」
論上帝和錢財
（路16．13）
24 「一個人不能服侍兩個主；他不是恨這個愛那個，就是重這個輕那個。你們不能又服侍上帝，又服侍瑪門t。」
不要憂慮
（路12．22－31）
25 「所以，我告訴你們，不要為你們的生命憂慮吃甚麼喝甚麼t，或為你們的身體憂慮穿甚麼。生命不勝於飲食嗎？身體不勝於衣裳嗎？ 26 你們看一看那天上的飛鳥，也不種也不收，也不在倉裏存糧，你們的天父尚且養活牠們。你們不比飛鳥貴重得多嗎？ 27 你們哪一個能藉著憂慮使壽數多加一刻呢t？ 28 何必為衣裳憂慮呢？你們想一想野地裏的百合花是怎麼長起來的：它也不勞動也不紡線。 29 然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的還不如這些花的一朵呢！ 30 你們這小信的人哪！野地裏的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐裏，上帝還給它這樣的妝飾，何況你們呢？ 31 所以，不要憂慮，說：『我們吃甚麼？喝甚麼？穿甚麼？』 32 這都是外邦人所求的。你們需要這一切東西，你們的天父都知道。 33 你們要先求上帝的國和他的義，這些東西都要加給你們了。 34 所以，不要為明天憂慮，因為明天自有明天的憂慮；一天的難處一天當就夠了。」
MATTHEW 6
Giving
1 t When you do good deeds, don't try to show off. If you do, you won't get a reward from your Father in heaven.
2 When you give to the poor, don't blow a loud horn. That's what show-offs do in the synagogues and on the street corners, because they are always looking for praise. I can assure you that they already have their reward.
3 When you give to the poor, don't let anyone know about it.t
4 Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret and will reward you.Prayer
(Luke 11.2-4)
5 t When you pray, don't be like those show-offs who love to stand up and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners. They do this just to look good. I can assure you that they already have their reward.
6 When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private and will reward you.
7 t When you pray, don't talk on and on as people do who don't know God. They think God likes to hear long prayers.
8 Don't be like them. Your Father knows what you need even before you ask.
9 You should pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
help us to honor
your name.
10 Come and set up
your kingdom,
so that everyone on earth
will obey you,
as you are obeyed
in heaven.
11 Give us our food for today.t
12 Forgive us for doing wrong,
as we forgive others.
13 Keep us from being temptedt
and protect us from evil.t
14 t t If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, your Father in heaven will forgive you.
15 But if you don't forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.Worshiping God //by Going without Eating
16 When you go without eating, t don't try to look gloomy as those show-offs do when they go without eating. I can assure you that they already have their reward. 17 t Instead, comb your hair and wash your face.
18 Then others won't know you are going without eating. But your Father sees what is done in private, and he will reward you.Treasures in Heaven
(Luke 12.33,34)
19 t Don't store up treasures on earth! Moths and rust can destroy them, and thieves can break in and steal them. 20 t Instead, store up your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy them, and thieves cannot break in and steal them.
21 Your heart will always be where your treasure is.Light
(Luke 11.34-36)
22 Your eyes are a window for your body. When they are good, you have all the light you need.
23 But when your eyes are bad, everything is dark. If the light inside you is dark, you surely are in the dark.Money
(Luke 16.13)
24 You cannot be the slave of two masters! You will like one more than the other or be more loyal to one than the other. You cannot serve both God and money.Worry
(Luke 12.22-31)
25 I tell you not to worry about your life. Don't worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn't life more than food or clothing?
26 Look at the birds in the sky! They don't plant or harvest. They don't even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren't you worth much more than birds?
27 Can worry make you live longer?t 28 Why worry about clothes? Look how the wild flowers grow. They don't work hard to make their clothes. 29 t But I tell you that Solomon with all his wealtht wasn't as well clothed as one of them.
30 God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. God will surely do even more for you! Why do you have such little faith?
31 Don't worry and ask yourselves, “Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?” 32 Only people who don't know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows you need all of these.
33 But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.
34 Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today.
