马太福音 6
论施舍
1 “你们要谨慎，不可故意在人面前表现虔诚，叫他们看见，若是这样，就不能得你们天父的赏赐了。
2 “所以，你施舍的时候，不可叫人在你前面吹号，像那假冒为善的人在会堂里和街道上所做的，故意要得人的称赞。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。 3 你施舍的时候，不要让左手知道右手所做的， 4 好使你隐秘地施舍；你父在隐秘中察看，必然赏赐你。”
论祷告
5 “你们祷告的时候，不可像那假冒为善的人，爱站在会堂里和十字路口祷告，故意让人看见。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。 6 你祷告的时候，要进入内室，关上门，向那在隐秘中的父祷告；你父在隐秘中察看，必将赏赐你。 7 你们祷告，不可像外邦人那样重复一些空话，他们以为话多了必蒙垂听。 8 你们不可效法他们。因为在你们祈求以前，你们所需要的，你们的父早已知道了。”

9 “所以，你们要这样祷告： ‘我们在天上的父： 愿人都尊你的名为圣。
10 愿你的国降临； 愿你的旨意行在地上， 如同行在天上。
11 我们日用的饮食，今日赐给我们。

论禁食
16 “你们禁食的时候，不可像那假冒为善的人，脸上带着愁容；因为他们蓬头垢面，故意让人看出他们在禁食。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。 17 你禁食的时候，要梳头洗脸， 18 不要让人看出你在禁食，只让你隐秘中的父看见；你父在隐秘中察看，必然赏赐你。”
论天上的财宝
（路12．33－34）
19 “不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖洞来偷。 20 要在天上积蓄财宝；天上没有虫子咬，不会锈坏，也没有贼挖洞来偷。 21 因为你的财宝在哪里，你的心也在哪里。”
眼睛是身体的灯
（路11．34－36）
22 “眼睛是身体的灯。你的眼睛若明亮，全身就光明； 23 你的眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。你里面的光若黑暗了，那黑暗是何等大呢！”
论上帝和钱财
（路16．13）
24 “一个人不能服侍两个主；他不是恨这个爱那个，就是重这个轻那个。你们不能又服侍上帝，又服侍玛门t。”
不要忧虑
（路12．22－31）
25 “所以，我告诉你们，不要为你们的生命忧虑吃什么喝什么t，或为你们的身体忧虑穿什么。生命不胜于饮食吗？身体不胜于衣裳吗？ 26 你们看一看那天上的飞鸟，也不种也不收，也不在仓里存粮，你们的天父尚且养活它们。你们不比飞鸟贵重得多吗？ 27 你们哪一个能藉着忧虑使寿数多加一刻呢t？ 28 何必为衣裳忧虑呢？你们想一想野地里的百合花是怎么长起来的：它也不劳动也不纺线。 29 然而我告诉你们，就是所罗门极荣华的时候，他所穿戴的还不如这些花的一朵呢！ 30 你们这小信的人哪！野地里的草今天还在，明天就丢在炉里，上帝还给它这样的妆饰，何况你们呢？ 31 所以，不要忧虑，说：‘我们吃什么？喝什么？穿什么？’ 32 这都是外邦人所求的。你们需要这一切东西，你们的天父都知道。 33 你们要先求上帝的国和他的义，这些东西都要加给你们了。 34 所以，不要为明天忧虑，因为明天自有明天的忧虑；一天的难处一天当就够了。”
MATTHEW 6
Giving
1 t When you do good deeds, don't try to show off. If you do, you won't get a reward from your Father in heaven.
2 When you give to the poor, don't blow a loud horn. That's what show-offs do in the synagogues and on the street corners, because they are always looking for praise. I can assure you that they already have their reward.
3 When you give to the poor, don't let anyone know about it.t
4 Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret and will reward you.Prayer
(Luke 11.2-4)
5 t When you pray, don't be like those show-offs who love to stand up and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners. They do this just to look good. I can assure you that they already have their reward.
6 When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private and will reward you.
7 t When you pray, don't talk on and on as people do who don't know God. They think God likes to hear long prayers.
8 Don't be like them. Your Father knows what you need even before you ask.
9 You should pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
help us to honor
your name.
10 Come and set up
your kingdom,
so that everyone on earth
will obey you,
as you are obeyed
in heaven.
11 Give us our food for today.t
12 Forgive us for doing wrong,
as we forgive others.
13 Keep us from being temptedt
and protect us from evil.t
14 t t If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, your Father in heaven will forgive you.
15 But if you don't forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.Worshiping God //by Going without Eating
16 When you go without eating, t don't try to look gloomy as those show-offs do when they go without eating. I can assure you that they already have their reward. 17 t Instead, comb your hair and wash your face.
18 Then others won't know you are going without eating. But your Father sees what is done in private, and he will reward you.Treasures in Heaven
(Luke 12.33,34)
19 t Don't store up treasures on earth! Moths and rust can destroy them, and thieves can break in and steal them. 20 t Instead, store up your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy them, and thieves cannot break in and steal them.
21 Your heart will always be where your treasure is.Light
(Luke 11.34-36)
22 Your eyes are a window for your body. When they are good, you have all the light you need.
23 But when your eyes are bad, everything is dark. If the light inside you is dark, you surely are in the dark.Money
(Luke 16.13)
24 You cannot be the slave of two masters! You will like one more than the other or be more loyal to one than the other. You cannot serve both God and money.Worry
(Luke 12.22-31)
25 I tell you not to worry about your life. Don't worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn't life more than food or clothing?
26 Look at the birds in the sky! They don't plant or harvest. They don't even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren't you worth much more than birds?
27 Can worry make you live longer?t 28 Why worry about clothes? Look how the wild flowers grow. They don't work hard to make their clothes. 29 t But I tell you that Solomon with all his wealtht wasn't as well clothed as one of them.
30 God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. God will surely do even more for you! Why do you have such little faith?
31 Don't worry and ask yourselves, “Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?” 32 Only people who don't know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows you need all of these.
33 But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.
34 Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today.
