7 เมื่อ_คุณ_อธิษฐาน ก็_อย่า_พูด_ซ้ำ_ซาก_ไร้_สาระ_เหมือน_คน_ที่_ไม่_รู้_จัก_พระเจ้า_ทำ_กัน เพราะ_พวก_เขา_คิด_ว่า ถ้า_เขา_พูด_ซ้ำ_แล้ว_ซ้ำ_อีก พวก_เขา_จะ_ได้_รับ_คำ_ตอบ_จาก_การ_อธิษฐาน_นั้น

8 อย่า_ทำ_เหมือน_คน_พวก_นั้น เพราะ_พระบิดา_รู้_ว่า_คุณ_ขาด_อะไร_ก่อน_ที่_คุณ_จะ_ขอ_เสีย_อีก

9 คุณ_ควร_จะ_อธิษฐาน_อย่าง_นี้_ว่า

‘พระบิดา_ของ_เรา_ที่_อยู่_บน_สวรรค์
ขอ_ให้_ชื่อ_ของ_พระองค์_เป็น_ที่_เคารพ_นับถือ_อยู่_เสมอ

10 ขอ_ให้_อาณา_จักร_ของ_พระองค์_มา_ตั้ง_อยู่_ใน_โลก_นี้
ขอ_ให้_คน_ใน_โลก_นี้_ทำ_ตาม_ความ_ต้อง_การ_ของ_พระองค์ เหมือน_อย่าง_ที่_เป็น_ใน_สวรรค์

11 โปรด_ให้_พวก_เรา_มี_อาหาร_กิน_ใน_ทุกๆ_วัน

12 และ_โปรด_ยกโทษ_ให้_กับ_ความ_บาป_ของ_พวก_เรา
เหมือน_กับ_ที่_พวก_เรา_ยกโทษ_ให้_กับ_คน_อื่น_ที่_ทำ_บาป_ต่อ_เรา

13 อย่า_ปล่อย_ให้_เรา_แพ้_ต่อ_การ_ยั่วยวน
แต่_ขอ_ช่วย_เหลือ_พวก_เรา_ให้_พ้น_จาก_สิ่ง_ชั่ว_ร้ายt’t

14 ถ้า_คุณ_ยกโทษ_ให้_กับ_คน_ที่_ทำ_บาป_ต่อ_คุณ พระบิดา_ของ_คุณ_ที่_อยู่_บน_สวรรค์ ก็_จะ_ยกโทษ_ให้_คุณ_ด้วย

15 แต่_ถ้า_คุณ_ไม่_ยอม_ยกโทษ_ให้_คน_อื่น พระบิดา_ของ_คุณ_ก็_จะ_ไม่_ยกโทษ_ให้_กับ_บาป_ของ_คุณ_เหมือน_กัน

16 เมื่อ_คุณ_อด_อาหาร_ก็_ไม่_ต้อง_ทำ_หน้า_เศร้า_เหมือน_ไอ้_พวก_นัก_แสดง_ทำ_กัน เพื่อ_ให้_คน_เห็น_ว่า_เขา_อด_อาหาร_อยู่ เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า พวก_เขา_ได้_รับ_รางวัล_ของ_พวก_เขา_อย่าง_ครบ_ถ้วน_แล้ว

17 แต่_เมื่อ_คุณ_อด_อาหาร ขอ_ให้_ล้าง_หน้า_ล้าง_ตา_ให้_แจ่ม_ใส และ_ใส่_น้ำมัน_ผม

18 จะ_ได้_ไม่_มี_ใคร_รู้_ว่า_คุณ_กำลัง_อด_อาหาร_อยู่ แต่_พระบิดา_ของ_คุณ_ที่_มนุษย์_มอง_ไม่_เห็น จะ_เห็น_คุณ_โดย_ที่_คุณ_ไม่_รู้_และ_ให้_รางวัล_กับ_คุณ

พระเจ้า_สำคัญ_กว่า_ทรัพย์สิน_เงิน_ทอง

19 อย่า_เก็บ_สะสม_ของ_มี_ค่า_ไว้_ใน_โลก_นี้ ซึ่ง_สนิม_หรือ_แมลง_ทำลาย_ได้ หรือ_ที่_ขโมย_ลัก_ไป_ได้

20 แต่_ให้_เก็บ_สะสม_ทรัพย์_สมบัติ_ไว้_บน_สวรรค์ ที่_สนิม_และ_แมลง_ไม่_มี_วัน_ทำ_ลาย_ได้ หรือ_ขโมย_ก็_ลัก_เอา_ไป_ไม่_ได้

21 เพราะ_ทรัพย์_สมบัติ_ของ_คุณ_อยู่_ที่_ไหน ใจ_ของ_คุณ_ก็_จะ_อยู่_ที่_นั่น_ด้วย

22 ดวง_ตา_เป็น_ตะเกียง_ของ_ร่าง_กาย ถ้า_ดวง_ตา_ของ_คุณ_ดี ร่าง_กาย_ของ_คุณ_ก็_จะ_เต็ม_ไป_ด้วย_แสงสว่าง

23 แต่_ถ้า_ดวง_ตา_ของ_คุณ_ไม่_ดีt ร่าง_กาย_ของ_คุณ_ก็_จะ_เต็ม_ไป_ด้วย_ความ_มืด และ_ถ้า_แสงสว่าง_ใน_ร่าง_กาย_ของ_คุณ_กลาย_มา_เป็น_ความ_มืด ความ_มืด_นั้น_จะ_น่ากลัว_ขนาด_ไหน

25 ดัง_นั้น เรา_ขอ_บอก_คุณ_ว่า ไม่_ต้อง_กังวล_เกี่ยว_กับ_ชีวิต_นี้_ว่า_จะ_มี_อะไร_กิน_อะไร_ดื่ม_ไหม หรือ_เป็น_ห่วง_ร่าง_กาย_ว่า_จะ_มี_อะ_ไร_สวม_ใส่_ไหม เพราะ_ชีวิต_นั้น_สำคัญ_ยิ่ง_กว่า_อาหาร_และ_ร่าง_กาย_สำคัญ_ยิ่ง_กว่า_เสื้อผ้า

26 ดู_นก_ที่_บิน_อยู่_ใน_อากาศ_สิ มัน_ไม่_ต้อง_หว่าน_หรือ_เก็บ_เกี่ยว หรือ_สะสม_เมล็ด_พืช_ไว้_ใน_ยุ้ง_ฉาง แต่_พระบิดา_ของ_คุณ_ที่_อยู่_บน_สวรรค์_ก็_ยัง_เลี้ยงดู_พวก_มัน_เลย แล้ว_พวก_คุณ_มี_ค่า_มาก_กว่า_นก_พวก_นั้น_ไม่_ใช่_หรือ

27 กังวล_ไป_ทำ_ไม กังวล_แล้ว_ทำ_ให้_ชีวิต_คุณ_ยืด_ออก_ไป_ได้_อีก_สัก_ชั่วโมง_หรือ_เปล่า_ล่ะ

28 ถ้า_อย่าง_นั้น_จะ_ไป_กังวล_เรื่อง_เสื้อผ้า_ทำ_ไม ดู_อย่าง_ดอก_ไม้ป่า_สิ_ว่า_มัน_โต_ได้_ยัง_ไง มัน_ไม่_ได้_ทำ_งาน_และ_ไม่_ได้_ปั่น_ด้าย_เอง_แต่_ก็_ยัง_สวย_กว่า_กษัตริย์_ซาโลมอน_ใน_ชุด_เต็ม_ยศ_เสีย_อีก

29 เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า แม้_แต่_กษัตริย์_ซาโลมอน_ที่_ร่ำรวย_ที่สุด ก็_ยัง_แต่ง_ตัว_งด_งาม_ไม่_เท่า_ดอก_ไม้_พวก_นี้_สัก_ดอก

30 ดู_อย่าง_หญ้า_ใน_ทุ่ง_สิ_มัน_อยู่_แค่_วันนี้ พรุ่งนี้_ก็_ถูก_เผา_ไฟ_แล้ว แต่_พระเจ้า_ยัง_ตก_แต่ง_ให้_สวย_ถึง_ขนาด_นี้ แล้ว_นับ_ประสา_อะไร_กับ_พวก_คุณ_เล่า พระองค์_จะ_ไม่_ยิ่ง_ตก_แต่ง_ให้_มาก_กว่า_ทุ่ง_หญ้า_หรือ พวก_คุณ_นี่_ช่าง_มี_ความ_เชื่อ_น้อย_เสีย_จริงๆ

31 ดัง_นั้น_ไม่_ต้อง_กังวล_ว่า ‘จะ_มี_อะไร_กิน_ไหม’ หรือ ‘จะ_มี_อะไร_ดื่ม_ไหม’ หรือ ‘จะ_มี_อะไร_ใส่_ไหม’

32 พวก_ที่_ไม่_รู้จัก_พระเจ้า_ก็_ดิ้น_รน_หา_สิ่ง_เหล่า_นี้_กัน แต่_พระบิดา_ของ_คุณ_ที่_อยู่_บน_สวรรค์_รู้_อยู่_แล้ว_ว่า_สิ่ง_เหล่า_นี้_จำเป็น_สำหรับ_คุณ

33 แต่_ให้_ดิ้น_รน_หา_อาณา_จักร_ของ_พระเจ้า_และ_ชีวิต_ที่_ทำ_ตามใจ_พระองค์_ก่อน แล้ว_พระองค์_จะ_ให้_สิ่ง_ที่_จำเป็น_ทั้ง_หมด_นี้_กับ_พวก_คุณ_เอง

34 ดัง_นั้น_ไม่_ต้อง_กังวล_ถึง_วัน_พรุ่งนี้ เพราะ_พรุ่งนี้_ก็_มี_เรื่อง_กังวล_ของ_มัน_อยู่_แล้ว แต่_ละ_วัน_ก็_มี_ปัญหา_มาก_พอ_อยู่_แล้ว_สำหรับ_วัน_นั้น

Matthew 6

Giving to the Poor and Prayer

1 "Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.

2 "So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.3 But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,4 so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

5 "When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.6 But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

7 "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words.8 So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

9 "Pray, then, in this way:
'Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.

10 'Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.

11 'Give us this day our daily bread.

12 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 'And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.']14 For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.15 But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Fasting; The True Treasure; Wealth (Mammon)

16 "Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face18 so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22 "The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and twealth.

The Cure for Anxiety

25 "For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?27 And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?28 And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!31 Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
