Matthäus 7

Verurteilt niemanden!

1 (Lukas 6, 37-38.41-42)
t»Urteilt nicht über andere, damit Gott euch nicht verurteilt.2 tDenn so wie ihr jetzt andere verurteilt, werdet auch ihr verurteilt werden. Und mit dem Maßstab, den ihr an andere legt, wird man euch selber messen.

3 Warum siehst du jeden kleinen Splitter im Auge deines Bruders, aber den Balken in deinem eigenen Auge bemerkst du nicht?4 Du sagst: ›Mein Bruder, komm her! Ich will dir den Splitter aus dem Auge ziehen!‹ Dabei hast du selbst einen Balken im Auge!5 Du Heuchler! Entferne zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, dann kannst du klar sehen, um auch den Splitter aus dem Auge deines Bruders zu ziehen.

6 tWerft, was heilig ist, nicht vor die Hunde! Sie werden euch angreifen und in Stücke reißen. Und werft eure Perlen nicht vor die Säue! Sie werden die Perlen nur zertreten!«

Gott erhört Gebete

7 (Lukas 11, 5-13)
t»Bittet Gott, und er wird euch geben! Sucht, und ihr werdet finden! Klopft an, und euch wird die Tür geöffnet!8 Denn wer bittet, der bekommt. Wer sucht, der findet. Und wer anklopft, dem wird geöffnet.

9 Würde jemand von euch seinem Kind einen Stein geben, wenn es um ein Stück Brot bittet?10 Oder eine giftige Schlange, wenn es um einen Fisch bittet?11 tWenn schon ihr hartherzigen Menschen euren Kindern Gutes gebt, wie viel mehr wird euer Vater im Himmel denen Gutes schenken, die ihn darum bitten!

12 tSo wie ihr von den Menschen behandelt werden möchtet, so behandelt sie auch. Denn das ist die Botschaft des Gesetzes und der Propheten.«

Zwei Wege

13 (Lukas 13, 24)
»Geht durch das enge Tor! Denn das Tor zum Verderben ist breit und ebenso der Weg dorthin! Viele Menschen gehen ihn.14 tAber das Tor, das zum Leben führt, ist eng, und der Weg dorthin ist schmal. Deshalb finden ihn nur wenige.«

Eine Warnung vor falschen Propheten

15 (Lukas 6, 43-45)
t»Nehmt euch in Acht vor denen, die in Gottes Namen auftreten und falsche Lehren verbreiten! Sie tarnen sich als sanfte Schafe, aber in Wirklichkeit sind sie reißende Wölfe.16 tWie man einen Baum an seiner Frucht erkennt, so erkennt man sie an dem, was sie tun. Weintrauben kann man nicht von Dornbüschen und Feigen nicht von Disteln ernten.

17 tEin guter Baum bringt gute Früchte und ein kranker Baum schlechte.18 Ein guter Baum wird keine schlechten Früchte tragen und ein kranker Baum keine guten.19 tJeder Baum, der keine guten Früchte bringt, wird umgehauen und verbrannt.20 Ebenso werdet ihr die falschen Propheten an ihren Taten erkennen.«

21 (Lukas 6, 46; 13, 26-27)
t»Nicht, wer mich dauernd ›Herr‹ nennt, wird in Gottes neue Welt kommen, sondern wer den Willen meines Vaters im Himmel tut.22 Am Tag des Gerichts werden zwar viele sagen: ›Aber Herr, wir haben doch als deine Propheten das weitergesagt, was du selbst uns aufgetragen hast! Wir haben doch in deinem Namen Dämonen ausgetrieben und mächtige Taten vollbracht!‹23 tAber ich werde ihnen antworten: ›Ich kenne euch nicht, denn ihr habt nicht nach meinem Willen gelebt. Geht mir aus den Augen!‹«

Ein festes Fundament

24 (Lukas 6, 47-49)
»Wer meine Worte hört und danach handelt, der ist klug. Man kann ihn mit einem Mann vergleichen, der sein Haus auf felsigen Grund baut.25 Wenn ein Wolkenbruch niedergeht, das Hochwasser steigt und der Sturm am Haus rüttelt, wird es trotzdem nicht einstürzen, weil es auf Felsengrund gebaut ist.26 tWer sich meine Worte nur anhört, aber nicht danach lebt, der ist so unvernünftig wie einer, der sein Haus auf Sand baut.27 Denn wenn ein Wolkenbruch kommt, die Flut das Land überschwemmt und der Sturm um das Haus tobt, wird es aus allen Fugen geraten und krachend einstürzen.«

Die Wirkung der Bergpredigt

28 tAls Jesus seine Rede beendet hatte, waren die Zuhörer von seinen Worten tief beeindruckt.

29 Denn anders als ihre Schriftgelehrten sprach Jesus mit einer Vollmacht, die Gott ihm verliehen hatte.

Matthew 7

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me cast out the mote out of thine eye; and lo, the beam is in thine own eye?5 Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:8 for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.9 Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;10 or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?12 All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.14 For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.

15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.16 By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.20 Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.26 And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.

28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching:29 for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
