七

1 　人のあら捜しはいけません。　自分もそうされないためです。　2 なぜなら、あなたがたが接するのと同じ態度で、相手も接してくるからです。　3 自分の目に材木を入れたままで、どうして人の目にある、おがくずほどの小さなごみを気にするのですか。　4 材木が目をふさいで、自分がよく見えないというのに、どうして、『目にごみが入ってるよ。　取ってあげよう』などと言うのですか。　5 偽善者よ。　まず自分の目から材木を取り除きなさい。　そうすれば、はっきり見えるようになって、人を助けることができます。
6 　聖なるものを犬に与えてはいけません。　真珠を豚にやってはいけません。　豚は真珠を踏みつけ、向き直って、あなたがたに突っかかって来るでしょう。
7 　求めなさい。　そうすれば与えられます。　捜しなさい。　そうすれば見つかります。　戸をたたきなさい。　そうすれば開けてもらえます。　8 求める人はだれでも与えられ、捜す人はだれでも見つけ出します。　戸をたたきさえすれば開けてもらえるのです。　9 パンをねだる子供に、石ころを与える父親がいるでしょうか。　10 『魚が食べたい』と言う子供に、毒蛇を与える父親がいるでしょうか。　いるわけがありません。　11 罪深いあなたがたでさえ、自分の子供には良い物をやりたいと思うのです。　だったらなおのこと、あなたがたの天の父が、求める者に良い物を下さらないことがあるでしょうか。
12 　人からしてほしいと思うことを、そのとおり、人にもしてあげなさい。　これがモーセの法律の要約です。
天国への道は狭い
13 　狭い門を通らなければ、天国に入れません。　人を滅びに導く道は広く、大ぜいの人がその楽な道を進み、広い門から入って行きます。　14 しかし、いのちに至る門は小さく、その道は狭いので、ほんのわずかな人しか見つけることができません。
15 　偽教師たちに気をつけなさい。　彼らは羊の毛皮をかぶった狼だから、あなたがたを、ずたずたに引き裂いてしまうでしょう。　16 彼らの行ないを見て、正体を見抜きなさい。　ちょうど、木を見分けるように。　実を見れば、何の木かはっきりわかります。　ぶどうといばら、いちじくとあざみとを見まちがえることなど、ありえません。　17 食べてみれば、どんな木かすぐにわかります。　18 おいしい実をつける木が、まずい実をつけるはずはないし、まずい実をつける木が、おいしい実をつけるはずもありません。　19 まずい実しかつけない木は、結局は切り倒され、焼き捨てられてしまいます。　20 木でも人でも、それを見分けるには、どんな実を結ぶかを見ればよいのです。
21 　信心深そうな口をきく人がみな、ほんとうにそうだとは限りません。　そういう人たちは、わたしに向かって『主よ、主よ』と言うでしょう。　けれども天国に入れるわけではありません。　天におられるわたしの父のみこころに従うかどうかが決め手です。　22 最後の審判の時、大ぜいの人が弁解するでしょう。　『主よ、主よ。　私たちは熱心に伝道しました。　あなたのお名前を使って悪霊を追い出し、すばらしい奇蹟を何度も行なったじゃありませんか。』　23 しかし、わたしはこう宣告します。　『あなたがたのことは知らない。　ここから出て行きなさい！　あなたがたがしたのは悪いことばかりではありませんか。』
24 　わたしの教えを聞いて、そのとおり忠実に実行する人はみな、堅い岩の上に家を建てる賢い人に似ています。　25 大雨が降り、大水が押し寄せ、大風が吹きつけても、その家はびくともしません。　土台がしっかりしているからです。
26 　反対に、わたしの教えを聞いても、それを無視する人は、砂の上に家を建てる愚かな人に似ています。　27 大雨、大水、大風が襲いかかると、その家はあとかたもなく、こわれてしまうからです。」　28 群衆は、イエスの教えに目をみはりました。　29 どんなユダヤ人の指導者たちとも違い、特別な権威をもってお語りになっていたからです。イエス、病気を治す

Matthew 7

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me cast out the mote out of thine eye; and lo, the beam is in thine own eye?5 Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:8 for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.9 Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;10 or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?12 All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.14 For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.

15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.16 By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.20 Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.26 And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.

28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching:29 for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
