남을 심판하지 말아라
(눅 6:37-38, 41-42)
1 “너희가 심판을 받지 않으려거든, 남을 심판하지 말아라. 2 너희가 남을 심판하는 그 심판으로 하나님께서 너희를 심판하실 것이요, 너희가 되질하여 주는 그 되로 너희에게 되어서 주실 것이다. 3 어찌하여 너는 t남의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보면서, 네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐? 4 네 눈 속에는 들보가 있는데, 어떻게 t남에게 말하기를 ‘네 눈에서 티를 빼내 줄테니 가만히 있거라’ 할 수 있겠느냐? 5 위선자야, 먼저 네 눈에서 들보를 빼내어라. 그래야 네 눈이 잘 보여서, t남의 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼 줄 수 있을 것이다.”
6 “거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말고, 너희의 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말아라. 그들이 발로 그것을 짓밟고, 되돌아서서, 너희를 물어뜯을지도 모른다.”
구하여라, 찾아라, 문을 두드려라
(눅 11:9-13)
7 “구하여라, 그리하면 하나님께서 너희에게 주실 것이다. 찾아라, 그리하면 너희가 찾을 것이다. 문을 두드려라, 그리하면 하나님께서 너희에게 열어 주실 것이다. 8 구하는 사람마다 얻을 것이요, 찾는 사람마다 찾을 것이요, 문을 두드리는 사람에게 열어 주실 것이다. 9 너희 가운데서 아들이 빵을 달라고 하는데 돌을 줄 사람이 어디에 있으며, 10 생선을 달라고 하는데 뱀을 줄 사람이 어디에 있겠느냐? 11 너희가 악해도 너희 자녀에게 좋은 것을 줄 줄 알거든, 하물며 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서, 구하는 사람에게 좋은 것을 주지 아니하시겠느냐?”
12 “그러므로 너희는 무엇이든지, 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는 대로, 너희도 남을 대접하여라. 이것이 율법과 예언서의 본뜻이다.”
좁은 문
(눅 13:24)
13 “좁은 문으로 들어가거라. 멸망으로 이끄는 문은 넓고, 그 길이 널찍하여서, 그리로 들어가는 사람이 많다. 14 생명으로 이끄는 문은 너무나도 좁고, 그 길이 비좁아서, 그것을 찾는 사람이 적다.”
열매를 보아서 나무를 안다
(눅 6:43-44)
15 “거짓 예언자들을 살펴라. 그들은 양의 탈을 쓰고 너희에게 오지만, 속은 굶주린 이리들이다. 16 너희는 그 열매를 보고 그들을 알아야 한다. 가시나무에서 어떻게 포도를 따며, 엉겅퀴에서 어떻게 무화과를 딸 수 있겠느냐? 17 이와 같이, 좋은 나무는 좋은 열매를 맺고, 나쁜 나무는 나쁜 열매를 맺는다. 18 좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺을 수 없고, 나쁜 나무가 좋은 열매를 맺을 수 없다. 19 좋은 열매를 맺지 않는 나무는, 찍어서 불 속에 던진다. 20 그러므로 너희는 그 열매를 보고 그 사람들을 알아야 한다.”
하나님의 뜻을 행하는 일이 중요하다
(눅 13:25-27)
21 “나더러 ‘주님, 주님’ 하는 사람이라고 해서, 다 하늘 나라에 들어가는 것이 아니다. 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻을 행하는 사람이라야 들어간다. 22 그 날에 많은 사람이 나에게 말하기를 ‘주님, 주님, 우리가 주님의 이름으로 예언을 하고, 주님의 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내고, 또 주님의 이름으로 많은 기적을 행하지 않았습니까?’ 할 것이다. 23 그 때에 내가 그들에게 분명히 말할 것이다. ‘나는 너희를 도무지 알지 못한다. 불법을 행하는 자들아, 내게서 물러가라.’”
모래 위에 지은 집과 반석 위에 지은 집
(눅 6:47-49)
24 “그러므로 내 말을 듣고 그대로 행하는 사람은, 반석 위에다 자기 집을 지은, 슬기로운 사람과 같다고 할 것이다. 25 비가 내리고, 홍수가 나고, 바람이 불어서, 그 집에 들이쳤지만, 무너지지 않았다. 그 집을 반석 위에 세웠기 때문이다. 26 그러나 나의 이 말을 듣고서도 그대로 행하지 않는 사람은, 모래 위에 자기 집을 지은, 어리석은 사람과 같다고 할 것이다. 27 비가 내리고, 홍수가 나고, 바람이 불어서, 그 집에 들이치니, 무너졌다. 그리고 그 무너짐이 엄청났다.”

예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시니, 무리가 그의 가르침에 놀랐다. 29 예수께서는 그들의 율법학자들과는 달리, 권위 있게 가르치셨기 때문이다.

Judging Others
(Luke 6.37,38,41,42)
1 Don't condemn others, and God won't condemn you.
2 t God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them.
3 You can see the speck in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the log in your own eye. 4 How can you say, “My friend, let me take the speck out of your eye,” when you don't see the log in your own eye?
5 You're nothing but show-offs! First, take the log out of your own eye; then you can see how to take the speck out of your friend's eye.
6 Don't give to dogs what belongs to God. They will only turn and attack you. Don't throw pearls down in front of pigs. They will trample all over them.Ask, Search, Knock
(Luke 11.9-13)
7 t Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.
8 Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks.
9 Would any of you give your hungry child a stone, if the child asked for some bread? 10 Would you give your child a snake if the child asked for a fish?
11 As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give good things to people who ask.
12 t Treat others as you want them to treat you. This is what the Law and the Prophetst are all about.The Narrow Gate
(Luke 13.24)
13 t Go in through the narrow gate. The gate to destruction is wide, and the road that leads there is easy to follow. A lot of people go through that gate.
14 But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it.A Tree and Its Fruit
(Luke 6.43-45)
15 Watch out for false prophets! They dress up like sheep, but inside they are wolves who have come to attack you. 16 t You can tell what they are by what they do. No one picks grapes or figs from thornbushes. 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. 19 t Every tree producing bad fruit will be chopped down and burned.
20 t You can tell who the false prophets are by their deeds.A Warning
(Luke 13.26,27)
21 Not everyone who calls me their Lord will get into the kingdom of heaven. Only the ones who obey my Father in heaven will get in. 22 On the day of judgment many will call me their Lord. They will say, “We preached in your name, and in your name we forced out demons and worked many miracles.”
23 t But I will tell them, “I will have nothing to do with you! Get out of my sight, you evil people!”Two Builders
(Luke 6.47-49)
24 Anyone who hears and obeys these teachings of mine is like a wise person who built a house on solid rock.
25 Rain poured down, rivers flooded, and winds beat against that house. But it was built on solid rock, and so it did not fall.
26 Anyone who hears my teachings and doesn't obey them is like a foolish person who built a house on sand.
27 Rain poured down, rivers flooded, and the winds blew and beat against that house. Finally, it fell with a crash.
28 t When Jesus finished speaking, the crowds were surprised at his teaching. 29 He taught them like someone with authority, and not like their teachers of the Law of Moses.
