3 Vepředu, na východě, táboří po svých oddílech prapor Judova uskupení: vůdce Judových synů Nachšon, syn Aminadabův, 4 a jeho vojsko o počtu 74 600 mužů.
5 Vedle něj táboří pokolení Isachar: vůdce Isacharových synů Netaneel, syn Cuarův, 6 a jeho vojsko o počtu 54 400 mužů.
7 Dále pokolení Zabulon: vůdce Zabulonových synů Eliab, syn Chelonův, 8 a jeho vojsko o počtu 57 400 mužů.
9 Celkem v oddílech Judova uskupení: 186 400 mužů. Ti pochodují jako první.
10 Na jihu táboří po svých oddílech prapor Rubenova uskupení: vůdce Rubenových synů Elicur, syn Šedeurův, 11 a jeho vojsko o počtu 46 500 mužů.
12 Vedle něj táboří pokolení Šimeon: vůdce Šimeonových synů Šelumiel, syn Curišadajův, 13 a jeho vojsko o počtu 59 300 mužů.
14 Dále pokolení Gád: vůdce Gádových synů Eljasaf, syn Deuelův, 15 a jeho vojsko o počtu 45 650 mužů.
16 Celkem v oddílech Rubenova uskupení: 151 450 mužů. Ti pochodují druzí.
17 Uprostřed všech uskupení putuje Stan setkávání s uskupením levitů. Jak táboří, tak pochodují; každý na svém místě při svém praporu.
18 Na západě táboří po svých oddílech prapor Efraimova uskupení: vůdce Efraimových synů Elišama, syn Amihudův, 19 a jeho vojsko o počtu 40 500 mužů.
20 Vedle něj pokolení Manases: vůdce Manasesových synů Gamaliel, syn Pedacurův, 21 a jeho vojsko o počtu 32 200 mužů.
22 Dále pokolení Benjamín: vůdce Benjamínových synů Abidan, syn Gideoniho, 23 a jeho vojsko o počtu 35 400 mužů.
24 Celkem v oddílech Efraimova uskupení: 108 100 mužů. Ti pochodují třetí.
25 Na severu táboří po svých oddílech prapor Danova uskupení: vůdce Danových synů Achiezer, syn Amišadajův, 26 a jeho vojsko o počtu 62 700 mužů.
27 Vedle něj táboří pokolení Ašer: vůdce Ašerových synů Pagiel, syn Okranův, 28 a jeho vojsko o počtu 41 500 mužů.
29 Dále pokolení Neftalí: vůdce Neftalímových synů Achira, syn Enanův, 30 a jeho vojsko o počtu 53 400 mužů.
31 Celkem v oddílech Danova uskupení: 157 600 mužů. Ti pochodují po svých praporech jako poslední.
32 Toto je součet synů Izraele podle jejich otcovských domů. Celkem jich v oddílech všech uskupení bylo 603 550 mužů. 33 Podle Hospodinova příkazu Mojžíšovi však s ostatními Izraelity nebyli sečteni levité.
34 Synové Izraele udělali všechno přesně tak, jak Hospodin přikázal Mojžíšovi: tak tábořili po svých praporech a tak táhli, každý podle svých rodů při domě svých otců.

2 “Every onet of the Israelites must campt under his standard with the emblems of his family;t they must camp at some distancet around the tent of meeting.s
The Tribes on the East
3 “Now those who will be campingt on the east, toward the sunrise,s are the divisionst of the camp of Judah under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah ist Nahshon son of Amminadab.4 Those numbered in his divisions are 74,600.5 Those who will be camping next to themt are the tribe of Issachar. The leader of the people of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar.6 Those numbered in his division are 54,400.7 Next will bet the tribe of Zebulun. The leader of the people of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon.8 Those numbered in his division are 57,400.
9 All those numbered of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, are 186,400. They will travelt at the front.
The Tribes on the South
10 “On the south will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard.t The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.11 Those numbered in his division are 46,500.12 Those who will be camping next to them are the tribe of Simeon. The leader of the people of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.13 Those numbered in his division are 59,300.14 Next will bet the tribe of Gad. The leader of the people of Gad is Eliasaph son of Deuel.s15 Those numbered in his division are 45,650.
16 All those numbered of the camp of Reuben, according to their divisions, are 151,450. They will travel second.
The Tribe in the Center
17 “Then the tent of meeting with the camp of the Levites will travel in the middle of the camps. They will travel in the same order as they camped, each in his own placet under his standard.
The Tribes on the West
18 “On the west will be the divisions of the camp of Ephraim under their standard. The leader of the people of Ephraim is Elishama son of Amihud.19 Those numbered in his division are 40,500.20 Next to them will be the tribe of Manasseh. The leader of the people of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.21 Those numbered in his division are 32,200.22 Next will bet the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of the people of Benjamin is Abidan son of Gideoni.23 Those numbered in his division are 35,400.
24 All those numbered of the camp of Ephraim, according to their divisions, are 108,100. They will travel third.
The Tribes on the North
25 “On the north will be the divisions of the camp of Dan, under their standards. The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.26 Those numbered in his division are 62,700.27 Those who will be camping next to them are the tribe of Asher. The leader of the people of Asher is Pagiel son of Ocran.28 Those numbered in his division are 41,500.29 Next will bet the tribe of Naphtali. The leader of the people of Naphtali is Ahira son of Enan.30 Those numbered in his division are 53,400.
31 All those numbered of the camp of Dan are 157,600. They will travel last, under their standards.”

32 These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families.t All those numbered in the camps, by their divisions, are 603,550.
33 But the Levites were not numbered among the other Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.
34 So the Israelites did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses; that is the wayt they camped under their standards, and that is the way they traveled, each with his clan and family.
