Disposición de las tribus en el campamento

1 El Señor les dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: 2 «Los israelitas acamparán alrededor de la *Tienda de reunión, mirando hacia ella, cada cual bajo el estandarte de su propia familia patriarcal.
3 »Al este, por donde sale el sol, acamparán los que se agrupan bajo el estandarte del campamento de Judá, según sus escuadrones. Su jefe es Naasón hijo de Aminadab. 4 Su ejército está integrado por setenta y cuatro mil seiscientos hombres. 5 »A un lado de Judá acampará la tribu de Isacar. Su jefe es Natanael hijo de Zuar. 6 Su ejército está integrado por cincuenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos hombres. 7 »Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Zabulón. Su jefe es Eliab hijo de Helón. 8 Su ejército está integrado por cincuenta y siete mil cuatrocientos hombres. 9 »Todos los reclutas del campamento de Judá, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento ochenta y seis mil cuatrocientos hombres, los cuales marcharán a la cabeza. 10 »Al sur acamparán los que se agrupan bajo el estandarte del campamento de Rubén, según sus escuadrones. Su jefe es Elisur hijo de Sedeúr. 11 Su ejército está integrado por cuarenta y seis mil quinientos hombres. 12 »A un lado de Rubén acampará la tribu de Simeón. Su jefe es Selumiel hijo de Zurisaday. 13 Su ejército está integrado por cincuenta y nueve mil trescientos hombres. 14 »Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Gad. Su jefe es Eliasaf hijo de Reuel.s 15 Su ejército está integrado por cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos cincuenta hombres. 16 »Todos los reclutas del campamento de Rubén, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento cincuenta y un mil cuatrocientos cincuenta hombres, los cuales marcharán en segundo lugar. 17 »Entonces se pondrá en marcha la Tienda de reunión junto con el campamento de los levitas que está situado en medio de los demás campamentos. Partirán en el mismo orden en que hayan acampado, cada uno en su lugar y bajo su estandarte. 18 »Al oeste acamparán los que se agrupan bajo el estandarte del campamento de Efraín, según sus escuadrones. Su jefe es Elisama hijo de Amiud. 19 Su ejército está integrado por cuarenta mil quinientos hombres. 20 »A un lado de Efraín acampará la tribu de Manasés. Su jefe es Gamaliel hijo de Pedasur. 21 Su ejército está integrado por treinta y dos mil doscientos hombres. 22 »Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Benjamín. Su jefe es Abidán hijo de Gedeoni. 23 Su ejército está integrado por treinta y cinco mil cuatrocientos hombres. 24 »Todos los reclutas del campamento de Efraín, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento ocho mil cien hombres, los cuales marcharán en tercer lugar. 25 »Al norte, acamparán los que se agrupan bajo el estandarte del campamento de Dan, según sus escuadrones. Su jefe es Ajiezer hijo de Amisaday. 26 Su ejército está integrado por sesenta y dos mil setecientos hombres. 27 »A un lado de Dan acampará la tribu de Aser. Su jefe es Paguiel hijo de Ocrán. 28 Su escuadrón está integrado por cuarenta y un mil quinientos hombres. 29 »Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Neftalí. Su jefe es Ajirá hijo de Enán. 30 Su escuadrón está integrado por cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos hombres. 31 »Todos los reclutas del campamento de Dan, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento cincuenta y siete mil seiscientos hombres, los cuales marcharán en último lugar, según sus estandartes.» 32 Éstos son los israelitas reclutados de entre las familias patriarcales. El total de reclutas por escuadrones suma seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta hombres. 33 Pero los levitas no están incluidos con los demás israelitas, conforme a lo que el Señor le había mandado a Moisés.
34 Los israelitas hicieron todo lo que el Señor le mandó a Moisés: acampaban bajo sus propios estandartes, y se ponían en marcha, según sus clanes y familias patriarcales.

2 “Every onet of the Israelites must campt under his standard with the emblems of his family;t they must camp at some distancet around the tent of meeting.s

The Tribes on the East

3 “Now those who will be campingt on the east, toward the sunrise,s are the divisionst of the camp of Judah under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah ist Nahshon son of Amminadab.4 Those numbered in his divisions are 74,600.5 Those who will be camping next to themt are the tribe of Issachar. The leader of the people of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar.6 Those numbered in his division are 54,400.7 Next will bet the tribe of Zebulun. The leader of the people of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon.8 Those numbered in his division are 57,400.

9 All those numbered of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, are 186,400. They will travelt at the front.

The Tribes on the South

10 “On the south will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard.t The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.11 Those numbered in his division are 46,500.12 Those who will be camping next to them are the tribe of Simeon. The leader of the people of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.13 Those numbered in his division are 59,300.14 Next will bet the tribe of Gad. The leader of the people of Gad is Eliasaph son of Deuel.s15 Those numbered in his division are 45,650.

16 All those numbered of the camp of Reuben, according to their divisions, are 151,450. They will travel second.

The Tribe in the Center

17 “Then the tent of meeting with the camp of the Levites will travel in the middle of the camps. They will travel in the same order as they camped, each in his own placet under his standard.

The Tribes on the West

18 “On the west will be the divisions of the camp of Ephraim under their standard. The leader of the people of Ephraim is Elishama son of Amihud.19 Those numbered in his division are 40,500.20 Next to them will be the tribe of Manasseh. The leader of the people of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.21 Those numbered in his division are 32,200.22 Next will bet the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of the people of Benjamin is Abidan son of Gideoni.23 Those numbered in his division are 35,400.

24 All those numbered of the camp of Ephraim, according to their divisions, are 108,100. They will travel third.

The Tribes on the North

25 “On the north will be the divisions of the camp of Dan, under their standards. The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.26 Those numbered in his division are 62,700.27 Those who will be camping next to them are the tribe of Asher. The leader of the people of Asher is Pagiel son of Ocran.28 Those numbered in his division are 41,500.29 Next will bet the tribe of Naphtali. The leader of the people of Naphtali is Ahira son of Enan.30 Those numbered in his division are 53,400.

31 All those numbered of the camp of Dan are 157,600. They will travel last, under their standards.”

Summary

32 These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families.t All those numbered in the camps, by their divisions, are 603,550.

33 But the Levites were not numbered among the other Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.

34 So the Israelites did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses; that is the wayt they camped under their standards, and that is the way they traveled, each with his clan and family.
