Leyes para los nazareos

1  Entonces el SEÑOR le dijo a Moisés: «Da al pueblo de Israel las siguientes instrucciones: 2 si alguien del pueblo, sea hombre o mujer, hace el voto especial de nazareo, consagrándose al SEÑOR de manera especial, 3 dejará el vino y otras bebidas alcohólicas. No usará vinagre hecho de vino ni de otras bebidas alcohólicas, no beberá jugo de uva fresca ni comerá uvas o pasas. 4 Mientras esté obligado por su voto de nazareo, no se le permite comer o beber productos derivados de la vid, incluidas las semillas y la cáscara de uva.

5 »Durante todo el tiempo que dure su voto, esta persona no se cortará el cabello, porque es santa y apartada para el SEÑOR. Se dejará crecer el cabello hasta que se cumpla el tiempo de su voto. 6 Y no se acercará a ningún cadáver durante todo el tiempo de su voto al SEÑOR. 7 Aun cuando la persona muerta sea su propio padre, madre, hermano o hermana, no debe contaminarse, porque el cabello que lleva sobre su cabeza es símbolo de su consagración a Dios. 8 Este requisito se aplica mientras esté consagrado al SEÑOR.

9 »Si alguien cae muerto a su lado, el cabello dedicado quedará contaminado. Tiene que esperar siete días y después se afeitará la cabeza. Entonces quedará limpio de su contaminación. 10 En el octavo día llevará al sacerdote, a la entrada del tabernáculo,t dos tórtolas o dos pichones de paloma. 11 El sacerdote ofrecerá una de las aves como ofrenda por el pecado y la otra como ofrenda quemada. De esta manera él lo purificarát de la culpa recibida mediante el contacto con el cadáver. Luego el nazareo reafirmará su compromiso y dejará que su cabello empiece a crecer de nuevo. 12 Los días cumplidos de su voto, anteriores a la contaminación, no se tomarán en cuenta. Deberá dedicarse nuevamente al SEÑOR como nazareo por todo el tiempo de su promesa y deberá presentar un cordero de un año como ofrenda por la culpa.

13 »Esta es la ley ritual para el nazareo. Al terminar el tiempo de consagración deberá ir a la entrada del tabernáculo 14 y ofrecer sus sacrificios al SEÑOR: un cordero de un año sin defecto como ofrenda quemada, una cordera de un año sin defecto como ofrenda por el pecado, un carnero sin defecto como ofrenda de paz, 15 una cesta de pan preparado sin levadura —panes de harina selecta mezclados con aceite de oliva y obleas untadas con aceite de oliva— junto con las ofrendas obligatorias de grano y de líquido. 16 El sacerdote presentará estas ofrendas ante el SEÑOR: primero la ofrenda por el pecado y la ofrenda quemada; 17 enseguida el carnero como ofrenda de paz, junto con la cesta de pan preparado sin levadura. El sacerdote también presentará al SEÑOR las ofrendas obligatorias de grano y de líquido.

18 »Después el nazareo se afeitará la cabeza en la entrada del tabernáculo. Tomará el cabello que dedicó y lo pondrá en el fuego, debajo del sacrificio de la ofrenda de paz. 19 Después de que el nazareo se afeite la cabeza, el sacerdote tomará una espaldilla hervida del carnero; también tomará de la cesta un pan y una oblea preparados sin levadura, y los pondrá en las manos del nazareo. 20 Entonces el sacerdote los levantará ante el SEÑOR como ofrenda especial. Estas son las porciones santas para el sacerdote, junto con el pecho de la ofrenda especial y el muslo de la ofrenda sagrada que se levanta ante el SEÑOR. Después de esta ceremonia el nazareo podrá volver a beber vino.

21 »Esta es la ley ritual de los nazareos que juran llevar estas ofrendas al SEÑOR. Si está a su alcance también pueden llevar ofrendas adicionales. Deben asegurarse de cumplir con todo lo que juraron cuando se apartaron como nazareos».

Bendición sacerdotal

22 Entonces el SEÑOR le dijo a Moisés: 23 «Diles a Aarón y a sus hijos que bendigan al pueblo de Israel con la siguiente bendición especial:

24 “Que el SEÑOR te bendiga
y te proteja.

25 Que el SEÑOR sonría sobre ti
y sea compasivo contigo.

26 Que el SEÑOR te muestre su favor
y te dé su paz”.

27 Cada vez que Aarón y sus hijos bendigan al pueblo de Israel en mi nombre, yo los bendeciré».

Rules for Nazirites

1 The [Lord] told Moses

2 to say to the people of Israel:
If any of you want to dedicate yourself to me by vowing to become a Nazirite, 3 t you must no longer drink any wine or beer or use any kind of vinegar. Don't drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins—

4 not even the seeds or skins.

5 The hair of a Nazirite is sacred to me, and as long as you are a Nazirite, you must never cut your hair.
6 During the time that you are a Nazirite, you must never go close to a dead body,

7-8 not even that of your father, mother, brother, or sister. That would make you unclean. Your hair is the sign that you are dedicated to me, so remain holy.
9 If someone suddenly dies near you, your hair is no longer sacred, and you must shave it seven days later during the ceremony to make you clean. 10 Then on the next day, bring two doves or two pigeons to the priest at the sacred tent. 11 He will offer one of the birds as a sacrifice for sin and the other as a sacrifice to please me.t You will then be forgiven for being too near a dead body, and your hair will again become sacred.

12 But the dead body made you unacceptable, so you must make another vow to become a Nazirite and be dedicated once more. Finally, a year-old ram must be offered as the sacrifice to make things right.
13  t When you have completed your promised time of being a Nazirite, go to the sacred tent 14 and offer three animals that have nothing wrong with them: a year-old ram as a sacrifice to please me, a year-old female lamb as a sacrifice for sin, and a full-grown ram as a sacrifice to ask my blessing.t

15 Wine offerings and grain sacrifices must also be brought with these animals. Finally, you are to bring a basket of bread made with your finest flour and olive oil, but without yeast. Also bring some thin wafers brushed with oil.
16 The priest will take these gifts to my altar and offer them, so that I will be pleased and will forgive you.

17 Then he will sacrifice the ram and offer the wine, grain, and bread.

18 After that, you will stand at the entrance to the sacred tent, shave your head, and put the hair in the fire where the priest has offered the sacrifice to ask my blessing.
19 Once the meat from the ram's shoulder has been boiled, the priest will take it, along with one loaf of bread and one wafer brushed with oil, and give them to you.

20 You will hand them back to the priest, who will lift them upt in dedication to me. Then he can eat the meat from the ram's shoulder, its choice ribs, and its hind leg, because this is his share of the sacrifice. After this, you will no longer be a Nazirite, and you will be free to drink wine.

21 These are the requirements for Nazirites. However, if you can afford to offer more, you must do so.

The Blessing for the People

23 “When Aaron and his sons bless the people of Israel, they must say:

24 I pray that the [Lord]
will bless and protect you,

25 and that he will show you mercy
and kindness.

26 May the [Lord] be good to you
and give you peace.”
27 Then the [Lord] said, “If Aaron and his sons ask me to bless the Israelites, I will give them my blessing.”
