腓立比书 2
基督徒的谦卑
1 所以,你们如果在基督里有任何鼓励、任何爱的安慰、任何圣灵里的契合t、任何情感和怜悯,2 你们就要同心合意——爱心一致、灵里一致、意念一致,好使我的喜乐得以满足。3 做任何事都不要出于争竞t,也不可出于虚荣,而要以谦卑的心,各人看别人比自己强;4 每个人不要只注重自己的事,也要注重别人的事。
基督的榜样
5 你们应当有这样的意念,这也是基督耶稣的意念。
6 虽然他就是神本体的存在,
却不把与神同等看做是一件要强抓不放的事,
7 反而倒空自己,
取了奴仆的形像,成为人的样式,
以人的形态出现,
8 降卑自己,顺从至死,
甚至死在十字架上!
9 因此神使他升为至高,
赐给他那超越万名之上的名,
10 好使天上、地上和地底下的一切,
因耶稣的名都屈膝,
11 万口为了父神的荣耀
要承认耶稣基督是主。
做世界的光
12 因此,我亲爱的各位,既然你们一直是顺从的——不仅我在的时候如此,现今我不在的时候更加顺从——就当怀着敬畏和战兢的心,把你们的救恩行出来,13 因为是神在你们里面运作,使你们愿意并且能行出他的美意。14 做任何事都不要抱怨或争论t,15 好使你们成为无可指责、纯洁无伪的人,在这扭曲、败坏的世代中,做神毫无瑕疵的儿女;在这世代中,要像星星的光辉一样照耀在世上。16 你们要持守生命的话语,好让我在基督的日子t里可以夸耀我所奔跑的没有落空,我所劳苦的也没有落空。17 然而,即使我被做为奠祭,浇在你们信仰的祭物和服事上,我也欢喜,并且和你们大家一同欢喜;18 你们也应该照样欢喜,并且与我一同欢喜。
提摩太与以帕弗迪托
19 我在主耶稣里,希望不久能派提摩太到你们那里去,好让我也知道有关你们的事,可以心情愉快。20 实际上,我没有别的人与我同心,真正地挂虑你们的事;21 因为大家都寻求自己的事,不寻求耶稣基督的事。22 但是,你们是知道提摩太那经过考验的品德。因为他在福音工作上与我一起服事t,就像儿子与父亲那样。23 所以我希望,一旦知道我的事有什么结局t,就立即派他去。24 不过我在主里深信,我自己不久也会去的。
25 然而,我认为必须派以帕弗迪托到你们那里去;他是我的弟兄、同工、战友,也是你们的使者,是为我的需要而来的服事者,26 因为他一直切切地想念你们大家,并且因你们听说他患了病,他就极其难过。27 事实上,他虽然患了病几乎死去,可是神怜悯了他;不仅怜悯他,也怜悯了我,免得我忧上加忧。28 所以,我就更迫切地派他去,好让你们见到他,能够再次欢喜,而我也可以少些挂虑。29 因此,你们要在主里满怀喜乐地欢迎他,也要敬重这样的人,30 因为他为了基督的工作,几乎至死,冒了生命的危险,为要弥补你们服事我的缺乏。
Philippians 2
Christian Unity and Christ’s Humility
1 Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit,t any affection or mercy,t2 complete my joy and be of the same mind,t by having the same love, being united in spirit,t and having one purpose.3 Instead of being motivated by selfish ambitiont or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.4 Each of you should be concernedt not onlyt about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.st
5 You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had,t
6 s who though he existed in the form of Gods
did not regard equality with God
as something to be grasped,
7 but emptied himself
by taking on the form of a slave,t
by looking like other men,ts
and by sharing in human nature.ts
8 He humbled himself,
by becoming obedient to the point of death
– even death on a cross!
9 As a result God exalted him
and gave him the name
that is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus
every knee will bow
– in heaven and on earth and under the earth –
11 and every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord
to the glory of God the Father.
Lights in the World
12 So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence,t13 for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of his good pleasure – is God.14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing,15 so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the worldt16 by holding on tot the word of life so that on the day of Christ I will have a reason to boast that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.17 But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice together with all of you.
18 And in the same way you also should be glad and rejoice together with me.
Models for Ministry
19 Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be encouraged by hearing news about you.20 For there is no one here like him who will readily demonstrate his deep concern for you.t21 Others are busy with their own concerns, not those of Jesus Christ.22 But you know his qualifications, that like a son working with his father, he served with me in advancing the gospel.23 So I hope to send him as soon as I know more about my situation,
24 though I am confident in the Lord that I too will be coming to see yout soon.
25 But for nowt I have considered it necessary to send Epaphroditus to you. For he is my brother,ts coworker and fellow soldier, and your messengert and ministert to me in my need.t26 Indeed, he greatly missed all of you and was distressed because you heard that he had been ill.27 In fact he became so ill that he nearly died.t But God showed mercy to him – and not to him only, but also to me – so that I would not have grief on top of grief.28 Therefore I am all the more eager to send him,t so that when you see him again you can rejoicet and I can be free from anxiety.29 So welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him,
30 since it was because of the work of Christ that he almost died. He risked his life so that he could make up for your inability to serve me.t
