الرسالة إلى المؤمنين في فيلبي 2

1 هل حياتكم مع المسيح فيها تشجيع للآخرين؟ هل محبته لكم فيها عزاء للآخرين؟ هل لكم رابطة معا بالروح؟ هل عندكم شفقة وحنان؟2 إن كان نعم، فتمموا فرحي بأن تكونوا متحدين في الرأي وفي المحبة، ومعا بقلب واحد وقصد واحد.3 لا تفعلوا شيئا بدافع الأنانية أو الغرور، بل كونوا متواضعين لدرجة أن تعتبروا غيركم أفضل منكم.4 كل واحد منكم يجب أن يسعى لما فيه الخير للآخرين وليس له وحده.5 فكروا مثل المسيح عيسـى:6 فهو له طبيعة الله، لكنه لم يعتبر أن مساواته لله غنيمة يتمسك بها.7 بل جعل نفسه لا شيء، أخذ طبيعة عبد، صار مثل البشر، جاء في هيئة إنسان،8 تواضع جدا، وأطاع في كل شيء إلى الموت، لدرجة أنه مات على الصليب.9 لذلك رفعه الله إلى أعلى مكانة، وأنعم عليه بالاسم الذي هو أعظم من كل اسم.10 حتى يسجد الكل على ركبهم لاسم عيسـى، كل من في السماء وعلى الأرض وتحت الأرض،11 ويشهد الجميع علنا ويقولوا: "عيسـى المسيح هو مولانا" إجلالا لله الأب.12 يا أحبائي، لما كنت موجودا عندكم، كنتم دائما مطيعين، إذن من المهم أكثر أن تفعلوا ذلك الآن وأنا غائب عنكم. جاهدوا لتتمموا نجاتكم بحرص وخوف.13 لأن الله نفسه يعمل فيكم ليجعلكم راغبين وقادرين أن تعملوا مشيئته الصالحة.14 قوموا بواجباتكم بلا تذمر ولا جدال،15 لكي تكونوا أبرياء وأنقياء، كأبناء الله الكاملين وسط عالم فاسد شرير. وأنتم تضيئون بينهم كنجوم تنير السماء،16 لأنكم تقدمون لهم كلام الحياة. وبذلك أستطيع أن أفتخر في يوم المسيح بأن جهادي وتعبي لم يكونا بلا فائدة.17 إن إيمانكم هو كضحية وخدمة لله، فحتى إذا سفك دمي فوق هذه الضحية، فإني أفرح وأفرحكم كلكم معي.18 وأنتم أيضا يجب أن تفرحوا وتفرحوني معكم.19 أرجو بمشيئة سيدنا عيسى أن أبعث لكم تيموتاوس قريبا، فأفرح عندما أسمع أخباركم.20 فليس عندي هنا آخر مثله يهتم بأحوالكم بإخلاص.21 لأن الكل يسعى لمصلحته لا لمصلحة عيسى المسيح.22 أما تيموتاوس، فأنتم تعرفون خبرته، فإنه عمل معي في خدمة الإنجيل كابن يخدم مع أبيه.23 لذلك أرجو أن أبعثه لكم بمجرد أن أعرف كيف ستسير أموري.24 وأثق في المسيح أني أنا نفسي سأحضر عندكم قريبا.25 الأخ أبو فريد الذي أرسلتموه ليساعدني، خدم معي وحارب في صفي. والآن رأيت أنه من المهم أن أبعثه لكم.26 فهو مشتاق إليكم جميعا، وتضايق جدا لأنكم سمعتم أنه كان مريضا.27 لأنه فعلا مرض جدا حتى أوشك أن يموت. لكن الله أشفق عليه، وعلي أنا أيضا، لكي لا أحزن أكثر.28 وهذا ما جعلني أرغب جدا في أن أرسله لكم لكي تفرحوا عندما ترونه، ويقل حزني.29 إذن استقبلوه بكل سرور كأخ في المسيح، وأكرموا الذين هم مثله.30 لأنه من أجل خدمة المسيح، خاطر بحياته، وأوشك أن يموت، لكي يقدم لي المساعدة التي لم تستطيعوا أنتم أن تقدموها.

PHILIPPIANS 2

True Humility

1 Christ encourages you, and his love comforts you. God's Spirit unites you, and you are concerned for others. 2 Now make me completely happy! Live in harmony by showing love for each other. Be united in what you think, as if you were only one person. 3 Don't be jealous or proud, but be humble and consider others more important than yourselves. 4 Care about them as much as you care about yourselves

5 and think the same way that Christ Jesus thought:t

6 Christ was truly God.
But he did not try to remaint
equal with God.

7 Instead he gave up everythingt
and became a slave,
when he became
like one of us.

8 Christ was humble.
He obeyed God and even died
on a cross.

9 Then God gave Christ
the highest place
and honored his name
above all others.

10  t So at the name of Jesus
everyone will bow down,
those in heaven, on earth,
and under the earth.

11 And to the glory
of God the Father
everyone will openly agree,
“Jesus Christ is Lord!”

Lights in the World

13 God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him.
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing. 15 t Then you will be the pure and innocent children of God. You live among people who are crooked and evil, but you must not do anything they can say is wrong. Try to shine as lights among the people of this world,

16 as you hold firmly tot the message that gives life. Then on the day when Christ returns, I can take pride in you. I can also know that my work and efforts were not useless.
17 Your faith in the Lord and your service are like a sacrifice offered to him. And my own blood may have to be poured out with the sacrifice.t If this happens, I will be glad and rejoice with you.

18 In the same way, you should be glad and rejoice with me.

Timothy and Epaphroditus

24 And I feel sure the Lord will also let me come soon.
25 I think I ought to send my dear friend Epaphroditus back to you. He is a follower and a worker and a soldier of the Lord, just as I am. You sent him to look after me, 26 but now he is eager to see you. He is worried, because you heard he was sick.

27 In fact, he was very sick and almost died. But God was kind to him, and also to me, and he kept me from being burdened down with sorrow.
28 Now I am more eager than ever to send Epaphroditus back again. You will be glad to see him, and I won't have to worry any longer. 29 Be sure to give him a cheerful welcome, just as people who serve the Lord deserve. 30 He almost died working for Christ, and he risked his own life to do for me what you could not.
