1 สุดท้ายนี้ พวกพี่น้องของข้าพเจ้า จงชื่นชมยินดีในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า การที่ข้าพเจ้าเขียนข้อความเหล่านี้ถึงท่านซ้ำอีก ก็หาเป็นการลำบากแก่ข้าพเจ้าไม่ แต่เป็นการปลอดภัยสำหรับท่านทั้งหลาย2 จงระวังพวกสุนัข จงระวังบรรดาคนที่ทำชั่ว จงระวังพวกถือการเชือดเนื้อเถือหนัง3 เพราะว่าเราทั้งหลายเป็นพวกถือพิธีเข้าสุหนัต คือเป็นผู้นมัสการพระเจ้าด้วยจิตวิญญาณ และชื่นชมยินดีในพระเยซูคริสต์ และไม่ได้ไว้ใจในเนื้อหนัง4 ถึงแม้ว่าข้าพเจ้าเองมีเหตุที่จะไว้ใจในเนื้อหนัง ถ้าผู้อื่นคิดว่าเขามีเหตุผลที่จะไว้ใจในเนื้อหนัง ข้าพเจ้าก็มีมากกว่าเขาเสียอีก5 คือเมื่อข้าพเจ้าเกิดมาได้แปดวันก็ได้เข้าสุหนัต ข้าพเจ้าเป็นชนชาติอิสราเอล ตระกูลเบนยามิน เป็นชาติฮีบรูเกิดจากชาวฮีบรู ในด้านพระราชบัญญัติก็อยู่ในคณะฟาริสี6 ในด้านความกระตือรือร้นก็ได้ข่มเหงคริสตจักร ในด้านความชอบธรรมซึ่งมีอยู่โดยพระราชบัญญัติ ข้าพเจ้าก็ไม่มีที่ติได้7 แต่ว่าสิ่งใดที่เคยเป็นคุณประโยชน์แก่ข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าถือว่าสิ่งนั้นไร้ประโยชน์แล้วเพื่อเห็นแก่พระคริสต์8 ที่จริงข้าพเจ้าถือว่าสิ่งสารพัดไร้ประโยชน์เพราะเห็นแก่ความประเสริฐแห่งความรู้ถึงพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของข้าพเจ้า เพราะเหตุพระองค์ ข้าพเจ้าจึงได้ยอมสละสิ่งสารพัด และถือว่าสิ่งเหล่านั้นเป็นเหมือนหยากเยื่อ เพื่อข้าพเจ้าจะได้พระคริสต์9 และจะได้ปรากฏอยู่ในพระองค์ ไม่มีความชอบธรรมของข้าพเจ้าเองซึ่งได้มาโดยพระราชบัญญัติ แต่มีมาโดยความเชื่อในพระคริสต์ เป็นความชอบธรรมซึ่งมาจากพระเจ้าโดยความเชื่อ10 เพื่อข้าพเจ้าจะได้รู้จักพระองค์ และฤทธิ์เดชแห่งการฟื้นคืนพระชนม์ของพระองค์ และร่วมทุกข์กับพระองค์ คือยอมตั้งอารมณ์ตายเหมือนพระองค์11 ถ้าโดยวิธีหนึ่งวิธีใดข้าพเจ้าก็จะได้เป็นขึ้นมาจากความตายด้วย12 มิใช่ว่าข้าพเจ้าได้แล้ว หรือสำเร็จแล้ว แต่ข้าพเจ้ากำลังบากบั่นมุ่งไป เพื่อข้าพเจ้าจะได้ฉวยเอาตามอย่างที่พระเยซูคริสต์ได้ทรงฉวยข้าพเจ้าไว้เป็นของพระองค์แล้ว13 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าไม่ถือว่าข้าพเจ้าได้ฉวยไว้ได้แล้ว แต่ข้าพเจ้าทำอย่างหนึ่ง คือลืมสิ่งที่ผ่านพ้นมาแล้วเสีย และโน้มตัวออกไปหาสิ่งที่อยู่ข้างหน้า14 ข้าพเจ้ากำลังบากบั่นมุ่งไปสู่หลักชัย เพื่อจะได้รับรางวัลซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงเรียกจากเบื้องบนให้เราไปรับในพระเยซูคริสต์15 เหตุฉะนั้นให้เราซึ่งเป็นผู้ใหญ่แล้วมีใจคิดอย่างนั้น และถ้าท่านคิดอย่างอื่น พระเจ้าก็จะทรงโปรดสำแดงสิ่งนี้ให้แก่ท่านด้วย16 แต่เราได้แค่ไหนแล้ว ก็ให้เราดำเนินตรงตามนั้นต่อไป คือให้เราคิดเห็นอย่างเดียวกัน17 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ท่านจงดำเนินตามอย่างข้าพเจ้า และคอยดูคนทั้งหลายเหล่านั้นที่ดำเนินตามอย่างเดียวกัน เหมือนท่านทั้งหลายได้พวกเราเป็นตัวอย่าง18 (เพราะว่ามีคนหลายคนที่ประพฤติตัวเป็นศัตรูต่อกางเขนของพระคริสต์ ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้บอกท่านถึงเรื่องของเขาหลายครั้งแล้ว และบัดนี้ยังบอกท่านอีกด้วยน้ำตาไหล19 ปลายทางของคนเหล่านั้นคือความพินาศ พระของเขาคือกระเพาะ เขายกความที่น่าอับอายของเขาขึ้นมาโอ้อวด เขาสนใจในวัตถุทางโลก)20 ฝ่ายเราเป็นชาวสวรรค์ เรารอคอยพระผู้ช่วยให้รอดซึ่งจะเสด็จมาจากสวรรค์ คือพระเยซูคริสต์เจ้า21 พระองค์จะทรงเปลี่ยนแปลงกายอันต่ำต้อยของเรา ให้เหมือนพระกายอันทรงสง่าราศีของพระองค์ ด้วยฤทธานุภาพซึ่งพระองค์ทรงสามารถปราบสิ่งสารพัดลงใต้อำนาจของพระองค์
Philippians 3
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not irksome, but for you it is safe.2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the concision:3 for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:4 though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh: if any other man thinketh to have confidence in the flesh, I yet more:5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;6 as touching zeal, persecuting the church; as touching the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.7 Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.8 Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;11 if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead.12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect: but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus.13 Brethren, I could not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,14 I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you:16 only, whereunto we have attained, by that same rule let us walk.17 Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample.18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:19 whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.20 For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:21 who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.
