1 Así pues, hermanos míos, a quienes tanto amo y tanto añoro: ustedes, que son mi alegría y mi coronat, permanezcan firmes en el Señor, queridos.tExhortaciones
2 A Evodia y a Síntiquet les pido encarecidamente que se pongan de acuerdo, como cristianas que son.t
3 Ayúdalas tú también, fiel compañero* ya que lucharon conmigo por la causa del mensaje evangélico, junto con Clementet y el resto de mis colaboradores, cuyos nombres están escritos en el libro de la vida.t
4 Vivan siempre alegres en el Señor. Otra vez se lo digo: vivan con alegría. 5 Que todo el mundo los reconozca por su bondad. El Señor está a punto de llegar.t 6 Nada debe angustiarlos; al contrario, en cualquier situación, presenten a Dios su deseos, acompañando sus oraciones y súplicas con un corazón agradecido.t
7 Y la paz de Dios, que desborda toda inteligencia, guardará sus corazones y sus pensamientos por medio de Cristo Jesús.t
8 Finalmente, hermanos, aprecien todo lo que sea verdadero, noble, recto, limpio y amable; todo lo que merezca alabanza, suponga virtud o sea digno de elogio.t
9 Pongan en práctica lo que han aprendido y recibido; lo que en mí han visto y oído, pónganlo en práctica. Y el Dios de la paz estará con ustedes.tConclusión (4,10-23)
Pablo agradece la ayuda de los filipenses
10 Grande, my grande ha sido mi alegría como cristiano al comprobar que, después de tanto tiempo, ha vuelto a florecer el interés que ustedes tienen por mí. Ya sé que lo tenían; lo que les faltaba era la ocasión de manifestarlo. 11 Y no es la necesidad lo que me hace hablar así, pues he aprendido a bastarme en cualquier circunstancia. 12 Tengo experiencia de pobreza y de riqueza. Estoy perfectamente entrenado para todo: para estar harto y para pasar hambre, para nadar en la abundancia y para vivir con estrecheces. 13 Puedo salir airoso de toda suerte de pruebas, porque Cristo me da las fuerzas.t
14 Con todo, es hermoso que se hayan solidarizado conmigo en momentos de aflicción.
15 Como bien saben, filipenses, cuando comenzó a proclamarse el mensaje evangélico y tuve que salir de Macedonia*, sólo la iglesia de ustedes me abrió cuenta de “haber” y “debet”.t 16 Incluso estando yo en Tesalónica, por dos veces me enviaron ayuda para remediar mi necesidad. 17 Y no es que yo esté buscando donativos; lo que busco son ingresos que aumenten la cuenta de ustedes. 18 Acuso, pues, recibo de todo, que ha sido más que suficiente. Me siento satisfecho con lo que me han enviado por medio de Epafrodito, y que es ofrenda de suave olor y sacrificio que Dios acepta con agrado.t 19 Mi Dios, a su vez, rico y poderosot como es, proveerá a todas las necesidades que ustedes tengan, por medio de Jesucristo.
20 Que Dios, nuestro Padre, reciba gloria por siempre. Amén.tSaludos finales

1 So then, my brothers and sisters,t dear friends whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand in the Lord in this way, my dear friends!
2 I appeal to Euodia and to Syntyche to agree in the Lord.3 Yes, I say also to you, true companion,t help them. They have struggled together in the gospel ministryt along with me and Clement and my other coworkers, whose names are in the book of life.4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!5 Let everyone see your gentleness.t The Lord is near!6 Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and mindst in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters,t whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.
9 And what you learned and received and heard and saw in me, do these things. And the God of peace will be with you.
Appreciation for Support
10 I have great joy in the Lord because now at last you have again expressed your concern for me. (Now I know you were concerned before but had no opportunity to do anything.)t11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.12 I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment,t whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.13 I am able to do all thingst through the ones who strengthens me.
14 Nevertheless, you did well to share with me in my trouble.
15 And as you Philippians know, at the beginning of my gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in this matter of giving and receiving except you alone.16 For even in Thessalonicas on more than one occasiont you sent something for my need.17 I do not say this because I am seeking a gift.t Rather, I seek the credit that abounds to your account.18 For I have received everything, and I have plenty. I have all I need because I received from Epaphroditus what you sent – a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, very pleasing to God.19 And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious richest in Christ Jesus.
20 May glory be given to God our Father forever and ever. Amen.
