Poslanica Filipljanima 4

1 Draga braćo i sestre, volim vas i jedva čekam da vas vidim jer ste moja radost i nagrada za moj trud. Budite postojani u Gospodinu!

Pavlove završne napomene

2 Molim Evodiju i Sintihu da se ne svađaju i da budu složne u Gospodinu.

3 I tebe molim, vjerni prijatelju, pomozi im jer su se silno trudile u propovijedanju Radosne vijesti skupa sa mnom, Klementom i ostalim mojim suradnicima kojih su imena zapisana u Knjizi života.
4 Uvijek se radujte u Gospodinu. Da ponovim: radujte se!

5 Neka vaša blagost bude poznata svim ljudima. Gospodin je blizu!
6 Ne brinite se ni za što; radije se molite za sve; iznesite Bogu sve svoje potrebe, sa zahvalnošću.

7 Tako ćete iskusiti Božji mir koji nadilazi svaki razum. On će čuvati vaša srca i vaš um u Kristu Isusu.
8 Na završetku, draga braćo, još samo ovo: usmjerite svoje misli na ono što je istinito, čestito i pravedno, na ono što je čisto, hvalevrijedno i kreposno.

9 Postupajte kao što ste naučili i čuli od mene i kao što ste mene vidjeli činiti, pa će Bog mira biti s vama.

Zahvala za poslane darove

10 Silno sam se razveselio u Gospodinu što opet skrbite za mene. Znam da se uvijek o meni brinete, ali neko vrijeme niste mi imali prilike pomoći.11 Ne govorim to zbog oskudice. Naučio sam biti zadovoljan u svakoj prigodi.12 Znam oskudijevati, a znam i obilovati. Na sve sam naviknuo: i biti sit i gladovati, i obilovati i oskudijevati.13 Sve mogu u Kristu koji mi daje snagu.

14 Ali ipak je lijepo od vas što ste mi pomogli u nevolji.
15 Dobro znate da mi u početku propovijedanja evanđelja, kad sam otputovao iz Makedonije, nijedna crkva nije financijski pomogla - osim vas Filipljana.16 Čak ste mi i dok sam boravio u Solunu jedanput ili dvaput poslali pomoć za moje potrebe.

17 Ne govorim to zato što tražim od vas dar. Želim samo da vaša nagrada bude još veća.
18 Sada imam svega dostatno; čak mi i pretječe! Namirili ste sve moje potrebe darom koji ste mi poslali po Epafroditu, tom vašom žrtvom, "ugodnim mirisom" Bogu.19 A isti Bog koji se brine o meni ispunit će i sve vaše potrebe prema svojemu raskošnom bogatstvu, u Kristu Isusu.

20 Neka je slava našemu Bogu Ocu u vijeke vjekova! Amen.

Pavlovi posljednji pozdravi

21 Pozdravite ondje pojedinačno svakoga svetoga u Kristu Isusu. Pozdravljaju vas braća koja su sa mnom.

22 I svi drugi sveti vas pozdravljaju, posebice oni koji rade na carevu dvoru.
23 Neka milost našega Gospodina Isusa bude s vašim duhom!

Philippians 4

Christian Practices

1 So then, my brothers and sisters,t dear friends whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand in the Lord in this way, my dear friends!
2 I appeal to Euodia and to Syntyche to agree in the Lord.3 Yes, I say also to you, true companion,t help them. They have struggled together in the gospel ministryt along with me and Clement and my other coworkers, whose names are in the book of life.4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!5 Let everyone see your gentleness.t The Lord is near!6 Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and mindst in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters,t whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.

9 And what you learned and received and heard and saw in me, do these things. And the God of peace will be with you.

Appreciation for Support

10 I have great joy in the Lord because now at last you have again expressed your concern for me. (Now I know you were concerned before but had no opportunity to do anything.)t11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.12 I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment,t whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.13 I am able to do all thingst through the ones who strengthens me.

14 Nevertheless, you did well to share with me in my trouble.
15 And as you Philippians know, at the beginning of my gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in this matter of giving and receiving except you alone.16 For even in Thessalonicas on more than one occasiont you sent something for my need.17 I do not say this because I am seeking a gift.t Rather, I seek the credit that abounds to your account.18 For I have received everything, and I have plenty. I have all I need because I received from Epaphroditus what you sent – a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, very pleasing to God.19 And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious richest in Christ Jesus.

20 May glory be given to God our Father forever and ever. Amen.

21 Give greetings to all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brotherst with me here send greetings.22 All the saints greet you, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.
