Aux Philippiens 4
1 tC’est pourquoi, mes frères bien-aimés, vous pour qui j’ai une vive affection, vous qui êtes ma joie et ma couronne, tenez ferme dans le Seigneur, mes bien-aimés !Réjouissez-vous dans le Seigneur
2 tJ’encourage Evodie et j’encourage Syntyque à être bien d’accord dans le Seigneur.
3 tOui, toi aussi, fidèle collègue, je te demande de les aider, elles qui ont combattu côte à côte avec moi pour la bonne nouvelle, avec Clément et mes autres collaborateurs, dont les noms sont dans le livre de vie.
4 tRéjouissez-vous toujours dans le Seigneur ; je le répète, réjouissez-vous ! 5 tQue votre attitude conciliante soit connue de tous. Le Seigneur est proche. 6 tNe vous inquiétez de rien ; mais, en tout, par la prière et la supplication, avec des actions de grâces, faites connaître à Dieu vos demandes.
7 tEt la paix de Dieu, qui surpasse toute pensée, gardera votre cœur et votre intelligence en Jésus-Christ.
8 tAu reste, mes frères, que tout ce qui est vrai, tout ce qui est digne, tout ce qui est juste, tout ce qui est pur, tout ce qui est aimable, tout ce qui mérite l’approbation, ce qui est moralement bon et digne de louange soit l’objet de vos pensées ;
9 tce que vous avez appris, reçu, entendu et vu en moi, mettez-le en pratique. Et le Dieu de la paix sera avec vous.Votre don, un sacrifice agréé de Dieu
10 tJe me suis grandement réjoui, dans le Seigneur, de voir enfin refleurir votre intérêt pour moi. Cet intérêt, vous l’aviez bien, mais l’occasion vous manquait. 11 tJe ne dis pas cela en raison d’un manque ; moi, en effet, j’ai appris à me contenter de l’état où je me trouve. 12 tJe sais vivre humblement comme je sais vivre dans l’abondance. En tout et partout, j’ai appris à être rassasié et à avoir faim, à être dans l’abondance et à être dans le manque.
13 tJe peux tout en celui qui me rend puissant.
14 tCependant vous avez bien fait de prendre part à ma détresse. 15 tVous le savez vous-mêmes, Philippiens, au commencement de la bonne nouvelle, quand j’ai quitté la Macédoine, aucune Eglise ne m’a témoigné sa solidarité en se mettant en compte avec moi ; vous avez été les seuls à le faire, 16 tcar à Thessalonique déjà, plus d’une fois, vous m’avez envoyé ce dont j’avais besoin. 17 tCe n’est pas que je recherche les dons ; ce que je recherche, c’est que foisonne le fruit porté à votre compte. 18 tJ’ai tout ce qu’il me faut et je suis dans l’abondance ; je suis comblé, ayant reçu par Epaphrodite ce qui vient de vous comme un parfum de bonne odeur, un sacrifice que Dieu accepte et qui est agréé de lui. 19 tMon Dieu comblera tous vos besoins selon sa richesse, dans la gloire, en Jésus-Christ.
20 tA notre Dieu et Père la gloire à tout jamais !Amen !Salutations finales
21 tSaluez tous les saints en Jésus-Christ. Les frères qui sont avec moi vous saluent.
22 tTous les saints vous saluent, principalement ceux de la maison de César.
23 tQue la grâce du Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec votre esprit !
Philippians 4
1 Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.2 I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord.3 Yea, I beseech thee also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.4 Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.5 Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.6 In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.9 The things which ye both learned and received and heard and saw in me, these things do: and the God of peace shall be with you.10 But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length ye have revived your thought for me; wherein ye did indeed take thought, but ye lacked opportunity.11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therein to be content.12 I know how to be abased, and I know also how to abound: in everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in want.13 I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.14 Howbeit ye did well that ye had fellowship with my affliction.15 And ye yourselves also know, ye Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but ye only;16 for even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my need.17 Not that I seek for the gift; but I seek for the fruit that increaseth to your account.18 But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, and odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.19 And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.20 Now unto our God and Father be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren that are with me salute you.22 All the saints salute you, especially they that are of Caesar’s household.23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
