FILIPPENSE 4
1 My broers en susters, ek het julle lief en verlang baie na julle. Júlle maak my bly, ja, op júlle is ek baie trots. Geliefdes, bly dan nou regtig getrou aan die Here.
Laaste opdragte aan die gemeente
2 Ek moedig sowel Euodia as Sintige aan om hulle meningsverskille op te los omdat hulle aan die Here verbonde is.
3 En ek vra ook dat jy, getroue kollega, hulle sal help. Hulle het hard gewerk saam met my en ook saam met Klemens en die ander medewerkers om die Goeie Nuus uit te dra. Hulle almal se name staan opgeskryf in die Boek van die Lewe.
4 Wees altyd bly omdat julle weet dat julle aan die Here behoort. Ek sê dit weer: "Wees bly!"
5 Laat almal sien hoe bedagsaam julle lewe. Onthou: Die Here kom binnekort!
6 Moet oor niks bekommerd wees nie, maar bid oor alles. Vra alles wat julle nodig het van God, terwyl julle Hom ook dank vir alles wat Hy doen.
7 En God se vrede, wat meer is as wat 'n mens dink, sal oor julle harte en gedagtes die wag hou omdat julle aan Christus Jesus verbonde is.
8 Ten slotte, broers en susters, vul julle gedagtes met alles wat waar, eerbaar, skoon, suiwer, lieflik en lofwaardig is.
9 En leef volgens alles wat julle van my geleer, oorgeneem, gehoor en gesien het. Dan sal die God wat vrede gee, by julle wees.
Paulus sê dankie vir die Filippense se ondersteuning
10 Ek prys die Here met groot blydskap omdat julle weer 'n slag aan my kon dink. Ek weet julle het eintlik heeltyd aan my gedink, maar het net nie die geleentheid gehad om iets te doen nie.
11 Ek sê dit nie omdat ek iets kortkom nie. Ek het regtig geleer om onder alle omstandighede reg te kom.12 Ek weet wat dit is om boomskraap te lewe, en ek weet wat dit is om oorvloed te hê. Ek het lewenservaring opgedoen vir alle omstandighede, vir wanneer ek genoeg het om te eet én wanneer ek honger is, vir oorvloed én tekort.13 Ek kan alles doen deur Hom wat my krag gee.
14 Nietemin, julle het goedgedoen deur my in my swaarkry by te staan.
15 Julle, Filippense, weet wat in die beginjare met die uitdra van die Goeie Nuus gebeur het. Toe ek van Masedonië af vertrek het, het geen gemeente behalwe julle my finansieel ondersteun nie.16 Selfs toe ek in Tessalonika was, het julle meer as een keer iets gestuur om my te help.
17 Nie dat ek 'n skenking soek nie; ek soek die resultaat daarvan: groter krediet op julle rekening!
18 Op hierdie stadium het ek alles ontvang - en meer as genoeg! Met dit wat julle saam met Epafroditus gestuur het, het ek alles wat ek nodig het. Wat julle gestuur het, is 'n lieflike reukoffer waarvan God hou.
19 Omdat Christus Jesus dit verdien het, sal my God uit sy heerlike rykdom vir julle voorsien in elke behoefte wat julle het.
20 Aan dié God, wat ook ons Vader is, behoort die heerlikheid tot in alle ewigheid. Amen.

1 Dear friends, I love you and long to see you. Please keep on being faithful to the Lord. You are my pride and joy.Paul Encourages //the Lord's Followers
2 Euodia and Syntyche, you belong to the Lord, so I beg you to stop arguing with each other.
3 And, my true partner, t I ask you to help them. These women have worked together with me and with Clement and with the others in spreading the good news. Their names are now written in the book of life.t
4 Always be glad because of the Lord! I will say it again: Be glad. 5 Always be gentle with others. The Lord will soon be here. 6 Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.
7 Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
8 Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.
9 You know the teachings I gave you, and you know what you heard me say and saw me do. So follow my example. And God, who gives peace, will be with you.Paul Gives Thanks //for the Gifts //He Was Given
10 The Lord has made me very grateful that at last you have thought about me once again. Actually, you were thinking about me all along, but you didn't have any chance to show it. 11 I am not complaining about having too little. I have learned to be satisfied witht whatever I have. 12 I know what it is to be poor or to have plenty, and I have lived under all kinds of conditions. I know what it means to be full or to be hungry, to have too much or too little.
13 Christ gives me the strength to face anything.
14 It was good of you to help me when I was having such a hard time. 15 t My friends at Philippi, you remember what it was like when I started preaching the good news in Macedonia.t After I left there, you were the only church that became my partner by giving blessings and by receiving them in return. 16 t Even when I was in Thessalonica, you helped me more than once.
17 I am not trying to get something from you, but I want you to receive the blessings that come from giving.
18 t I have been paid back everything, and with interest. I am completely satisfied with the gifts you sent with Epaphroditus. They are like a sweet-smelling offering or like the right kind of sacrifice that pleases God. 19 I pray that God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus!
