Instrucciones para la iglesia

1 Queridos hermanos y amigos, estoy muy contento y orgulloso de ustedes. ¡Realmente los extraño! ¡No dejen de confiar en el Señor Jesús!
2 Les ruego a Evodia y a Síntique que se pongan de acuerdo, pues las dos son cristianas.

3 A ti, mi fiel compañero de trabajo, te pido que las ayudes. Ellas han luchado junto conmigo por anunciar la buena noticia, junto con Clemente y mis otros compañeros de trabajo. Los nombres de todos ellos ya están anotados en el libro de la vida eterna.
4 ¡Vivan con alegría su vida cristiana! Lo he dicho y lo repito: ¡Vivan con alegría su vida cristiana!

5 Que todo el mundo se dé cuenta de que ustedes son buenos y amables. El Señor Jesús viene pronto.
6 No se preocupen por nada. Más bien, oren y pídanle a Dios todo lo que necesiten, y sean agradecidos.

7 Así Dios les dará su paz, esa paz que la gente de este mundo no alcanza a comprender, pero que protege el corazón y el entendimiento de los que ya son de Cristo .

8 Finalmente, hermanos, piensen en todo lo que es verdadero, en todo lo que merece respeto, en todo lo que es justo y bueno; piensen en todo lo que se reconoce como una virtud, y en todo lo que es agradable y merece ser alabado.

9 Practiquen todas las enseñanzas que les he dado, hagan todo lo que me vieron hacer y me oyeron decir, y Dios, que nos da su paz, estará con ustedes siempre.

Pablo da gracias a los filipenses

10 Me alegra mucho que, como hermanos en Cristo, al fin hayan vuelto a pensar en mí. Yo estaba seguro de que no me habían olvidado, sólo que no habían tenido oportunidad de ayudarme.11 No lo digo porque esté necesitado, pues he aprendido a estar satisfecho con lo que tengo.12 Sé bien lo que es vivir en la pobreza, y también lo que es tener de todo. He aprendido a vivir en toda clase de circunstancias, ya sea que tenga mucho para comer, o que pase hambre; ya sea que tenga de todo o que no tenga nada.13 Cristo me da fuerzas para enfrentarme a toda clase de situaciones.

14 Sin embargo, fue muy bueno de parte de ustedes ayudarme en mis dificultades.
15 Al principio, cuando comencé a anunciar la buena noticia y salí de Macedonia, los únicos que me ayudaron fueron ustedes, los de la iglesia en Filipos. Ninguna otra iglesia colaboró conmigo.16 Aun cuando estuve en Tesalónica y necesité ayuda, más de una vez ustedes me enviaron lo que necesitaba.

17 No lo digo para que ustedes me den algo, sino para que Dios les tome esto en cuenta.
18 Epafrodito me entregó todo lo que ustedes me enviaron, y fue más que suficiente. La ayuda de ustedes fue tan agradable como el suave aroma de las ofrendas que Dios acepta con agrado.19 Por eso, de sus riquezas maravillosas mi Dios les dará, por medio de Jesucristo, todo lo que les haga falta.

20 ¡Que todos alaben a Dios nuestro Padre por siempre jamás! Amén .

22 También los saludan todos los que aquí forman parte del pueblo de Dios, especialmente los que trabajan para el emperador romano.

1 Dear friends, I love you and long to see you. Please keep on being faithful to the Lord. You are my pride and joy.

Paul Encourages //the Lord's Followers

3 And, my true partner, t I ask you to help them. These women have worked together with me and with Clement and with the others in spreading the good news. Their names are now written in the book of life.t
4 Always be glad because of the Lord! I will say it again: Be glad. 5 Always be gentle with others. The Lord will soon be here. 6 Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.

7 Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
8 Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.

9 You know the teachings I gave you, and you know what you heard me say and saw me do. So follow my example. And God, who gives peace, will be with you.

13 Christ gives me the strength to face anything.
14 It was good of you to help me when I was having such a hard time. 15 t My friends at Philippi, you remember what it was like when I started preaching the good news in Macedonia.t After I left there, you were the only church that became my partner by giving blessings and by receiving them in return. 16 t Even when I was in Thessalonica, you helped me more than once.

17 I am not trying to get something from you, but I want you to receive the blessings that come from giving.
18  t I have been paid back everything, and with interest. I am completely satisfied with the gifts you sent with Epaphroditus. They are like a sweet-smelling offering or like the right kind of sacrifice that pleases God. 19 I pray that God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus!

20 May God our Father be praised forever and ever. Amen.
