Conselhos para os filipenses

1 Vocês são meus irmãos muito queridos e eu sinto muitas saudades de todos; vocês são a minha alegria e a minha coroa. Portanto, continuem firmes no Senhor.
2 Peço a Evódia e a Síntique que tenham o mesmo modo de pensar, como irmãs no Senhor.

3 E também peço a você, meu fiel companheiro, que ajude essas duas mulheres. Elas têm se esforçado comigo na proclamação das Boas Novast, junto com Clemente e com os demais companheiros meus, cujos nomes estão escritos no Livro da Vidat.

4 Alegrem-se sempre no Senhor. Digo mais uma vez: Alegrem-se.
5 Mostrem a todos que vocês são pacientes e bondosos. O Senhor virá logo.6 Não vivam ansiosos por causa de nada. Ao contrário, orem a Deus, em qualquer circunstância e peçam a Ele o que vocês precisam. E façam isso sempre com ações de graçat.7 E a paz de Deus, que está além da compreensão humana, guardará os corações e as mentes de vocês em Cristo Jesus.8 Finalmente, irmãos, se existe alguma virtude e se existe algum louvor, é isso que tem de ocupar o pensamento de vocês: tudo o que é verdadeiro, tudo o que é respeitável, tudo o que é justo, tudo o que é puro, tudo o que é amável e tudo o que é de boa fama.

9 Continuem praticando o que vocês aprenderam, receberam e ouviram de mim, bem como o que vocês também me viram fazer. E o Deus que dá a paz estará com vocês.

Agradecimentos de Paulo aos filipenses

10 Eu me alegrei muito no Senhor porque, mais uma vez, vocês mostraram o cuidado que têm por mim. Vocês sempre cuidaram de mim, mas lhes faltava oportunidade para o demonstrar.11 Não é porque eu estou passando necessidade que estou dizendo isto, pois aprendi a viver contente em toda e qualquer situação.12 Eu sei como viver estando em necessidade, como também sei viver tendo abundância. De tudo e em todas as circunstâncias já tenho experiência, tanto de estar bem alimentado, como de estar passando fome; tanto de ter tudo o que preciso, como de não ter nada.

13 Posso fazer qualquer coisa por meio de Cristo, pois Ele me dá força.
14 Contudo, vocês fizeram bem se associando nas minhas dificuldades.15 Vocês, filipenses, sabem que no princípio, quando as Boas Novast foram anunciadas e quando eu saí da Macedônia, vocês foram a única igreja que me ajudou.16 Pois quando eu estava em Tessalônica vocês mandaram o bastante para as minhas necessidades não somente uma vez, mas várias.17 Não é que eu queira que vocês me dêem alguma coisa. O que quero é lhes dar ocasião para se enriquecerem cada vez mais diante de Deus.18 Recebi tudo e tenho em abundância. Agora tenho até mais do que preciso, pois Epafrodito me trouxe a oferta de vocês. E essa oferta é como um sacrifício de aroma suave, que é agradável a Deus.19 E o meu Deus, de acordo com a sua gloriosa riqueza em Cristo Jesus, vai suprir todas as necessidades de vocês.

20 Glória ao nosso Deus e Pai para sempre e sempre! Amém.
21 Lembranças a todos do povo de Deus, em Cristo Jesus. Os irmãos que estão comigo também mandam lembranças.

22 Todo o povo de Deus manda lembranças, especialmente aqueles que são da casa do Imperadort.

23 A graçat do Senhor Jesus Cristo esteja com cada um de vocês.

Philippians 4

Think of Excellence

1 Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord.3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

God's Provisions

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity.11 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.14 Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.

15 You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone;16 for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.17 Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.20 Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you.22 All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar's household.

23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
