Filipenses 4

1 Por lo tanto, queridos hermanos míos, a quienes amo y extraño mucho, ustedes que son mi alegría y mi corona, manténganse así firmes en el Señor.

Exhortaciones

2 Ruego a Evodia y también a Síntique que se pongan de acuerdo en el Señor. 3 Y a ti, mi fiel compañero,s te pido que ayudes a estas mujeres que han luchado a mi lado en la obra del *evangelio, junto con Clemente y los demás colaboradores míos, cuyos nombres están en el libro de la vida.
4 Alégrense siempre en el Señor. Insisto: ¡Alégrense! 5 Que su amabilidad sea evidente a todos. El Señor está cerca. 6 No se inquieten por nada; más bien, en toda ocasión, con oración y ruego, presenten sus peticiones a Dios y denle gracias. 7 Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, cuidará sus corazones y sus pensamientos en Cristo Jesús.
8 Por último, hermanos, consideren bien todo lo verdadero, todo lo respetable, todo lo justo, todo lo puro, todo lo amable, todo lo digno de admiración, en fin, todo lo que sea excelente o merezca elogio. 9 Pongan en práctica lo que de mí han aprendido, recibido y oído, y lo que han visto en mí, y el Dios de paz estará con ustedes.

Gratitud por la ayuda recibida

10 Me alegro muchísimo en el Señor de que al fin hayan vuelto a interesarse en mí. Claro está que tenían interés, sólo que no habían tenido la oportunidad de demostrarlo. 11 No digo esto porque esté necesitado, pues he aprendido a estar satisfecho en cualquier situación en que me encuentre. 12 Sé lo que es vivir en la pobreza, y lo que es vivir en la abundancia. He aprendido a vivir en todas y cada una de las circunstancias, tanto a quedar saciado como a pasar hambre, a tener de sobra como a sufrir escasez. 13 Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece.
14 Sin embargo, han hecho bien en participar conmigo en mi angustia. 15 Y ustedes mismos, filipenses, saben que en el principio de la obra del *evangelio, cuando salí de Macedonia, ninguna iglesia participó conmigo en mis ingresos y gastos, excepto ustedes. 16 Incluso a Tesalónica me enviaron ayuda una y otra vez para suplir mis necesidades. 17 No digo esto porque esté tratando de conseguir más ofrendas, sino que trato de aumentar el crédito a su cuenta. 18 Ya he recibido todo lo que necesito y aún más; tengo hasta de sobra ahora que he recibido de Epafrodito lo que me enviaron. Es una ofrenda fragante, un sacrificio que Dios acepta con agrado. 19 Así que mi Dios les proveerá de todo lo que necesiten, conforme a las gloriosas riquezas que tiene en Cristo Jesús.
20 A nuestro Dios y Padre sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

1 Dear friends, I love you and long to see you. Please keep on being faithful to the Lord. You are my pride and joy.

Paul Encourages //the Lord's Followers

3 And, my true partner, t I ask you to help them. These women have worked together with me and with Clement and with the others in spreading the good news. Their names are now written in the book of life.t
4 Always be glad because of the Lord! I will say it again: Be glad. 5 Always be gentle with others. The Lord will soon be here. 6 Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.

7 Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
8 Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.

9 You know the teachings I gave you, and you know what you heard me say and saw me do. So follow my example. And God, who gives peace, will be with you.

13 Christ gives me the strength to face anything.
14 It was good of you to help me when I was having such a hard time. 15 t My friends at Philippi, you remember what it was like when I started preaching the good news in Macedonia.t After I left there, you were the only church that became my partner by giving blessings and by receiving them in return. 16 t Even when I was in Thessalonica, you helped me more than once.

17 I am not trying to get something from you, but I want you to receive the blessings that come from giving.
18  t I have been paid back everything, and with interest. I am completely satisfied with the gifts you sent with Epaphroditus. They are like a sweet-smelling offering or like the right kind of sacrifice that pleases God. 19 I pray that God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus!

20 May God our Father be praised forever and ever. Amen.
